*Phinehas smiles up at Catherine.*
Attract attention? I think not, I could have walked out of here with this hunk of gold.
*He frowns as he hears her read about dragons. At the end of the text he sneers and tosses the gold back onto the table with a thump.*
There is much that that book does not speak of. So much.

*Stirring her attention from the book to Phinehas...*
*Midnight stills for a minute or two as she takes in Phinehas on his own.**
Wheres Ringmaterrob Phinehas? How did it go with Sir Edmund?
*By the time Midnight has said the words she didn't need Phinehas to explain....she already knew. She wasn't sure how she knew or why but she knew. She lowered her head for several minutes before raising it again. Now was not the time to mourn they hadn't died. They were alive some where....they needed to go and she could understand that need. At least with Edmund gone things would be easier for them.*
*She shakes her head at Phinehas and hopes that he knows that she doesn't need him tell her.*
I'd like to have seen you try that little trick, Phinehas...and what DOESN'T the book speak of.? What do you know that the writer doesn't?
Any information you can give will be very useful...

*Phinehas nods to Midnight, seeing in her eyes that somehow she doesn't need him to explain.*
You know, young lady, I don't know who or what you are, but it's never wise to mock a night elf.
*Phinehas picks up the seal and throws his cloak over it in one swift movement. Then he quickly takes two steps back into the shadows of the corridor and becomes effectively invisible to the rest.*
As you see, I could be a very talented thief if so inclined.
*He then steps back into the room and sets the seal back onto the table.*
As for the book, well it leaves much out. It talks only of how hard it is to gain trust from dragons. It says nothing of the fact that dragons themselves are untrustworthy for the most part. It says nothing about how, due to their ravenous appetites, they are a bane and a terror to those who are unfortunate enough to live nearby. It speaks not of the ancient feud between dragons and elves, due to the dragons' greed and gluttony. It speaks nothing of the multitude of needless elven deaths at the claws of dragons. Yes, young lady, contrary to what this book would have you believe, little good comes from having doings with dragons. They are not some wise and patient lords who wait in their lairs for someone to bestow ancient artifacts upon. They are cunning, greedy, gluttonous, treacherous and altogether untrustworthy. All but a few.

*Midnight's eyes open in surprise but not shock as Phinehas disappears. His comment of not knowing what she was struck her deeper than she thought it would. She didn't know who or what she really was either. Her mind and spirit were confused over the news the letter in the chest had brought.*
*She listens with rapt attention as Phinehas talks.*
Well we seem to have Dragons linked to mine and Coriolis history. Our ancestors worked with them. So some can be trusted. Right now we have no choice but to go with what we have. If this seal can get us home we got to at least try it out..

*Picking up the Seal again Catherine looks deeply at it, closing her eyes she murmers a couple of words. The seal glows slightly but nothing more then slowly fades.*
*Turning to Coriolis she places it back down on the counter.*
I don't honestly know...It could take you home in many ways...or it could take you home in one way. It's filled with magic but it's also protected from anyone but the mightiest of mages or witches to work out it's workings. It could be by a emotion, a day or even simply a time.
Any of them could be enough to send you home....I'm really sorry ....
*Looks to Midnight her eyes glower slightly. Her day has not gone well and one thing Catherine hates the most is failing. Her temper rises to the surface and before she can stop herself.*
Seems the only time I ever fail at things is when ever your around Midnight.

*Feeling like she's about to cry...They had come so close and yet still Arios was further away than ever. She hears Catherine's comment and this time her anger can't be held in check. Too many bad memories were caused by this woman, too many fears had been placed in her heart because of this woman.*
Well at least this time there no cage for you to lock me up in....
*Catherine doesn't even flinch at the comment for it is true...*
Your a dangerous woman Midnight, you were a dangerous teen. I had to do what I did to keep my people safe.
KEEP YOUR PEOPLE SAFE FROM ME?!
If I remember rightly Catherine I wasn't the one cheating at a competion. I wasn't the one using a sharpened piece of metal hidden under some wood was I? Too win a bout you could of easily won!
*Catherine winces this time, the people who had gone back to milling around the stall stare in open shock at her. The past always catches up with you she thought to herself again.*
I didn't mean to hurt you so badly...I only wantd to prove.....
*Midnight cuts in half way through.*
I don't want to hear it!
*By this time everyone is focused on Midnight and Catherine...so busy watching them argue that no spies Sly slowly approaching the Seal. It's gold shimmering in the dark light, almost teasing him to take it and run.....*

*Phinehas is less distracted than the rest by Midnight and Catherine because he simply doesn't care. He sees Sly edging towards the gold seal and decides to do nothing about it.*
Rarely does anything good ever come from dragon gold anyway. Besides, a stinking beggar shouldn't be that hard to find if necessary.

HEY!!! C'MERE!!! *There is a waft of stink, the gold extinguished, a glint of steel and an Elbowed Wolf as the FADEd Watcher barrels out the front door in pursuit of the beggar...*

*Phinehas watches the beggar run off, followed by the two Watchers. He then surveys the stranger and smiles at Catherine.*
So, Catherine, I see you have some help now? That's good. I wasn't terribly pleased with the idea of you being alone here. Despite your "important" friends....

*Facing Phinehas she smiles though her mind concentrates on the young black haired girl that had just left. A girl that could wreck all that she had if she didn't do something about her soon.* As am I Phinehas. This is Pyron he's the new helper around here. *She ignores the comment about Marcus for now.* So what happened back in the....well you know? *She watches Phinehas her eyes asking the question she could verbalise.* [ModNote: Catherine is next seen here.]
