Do somethin'! Stop these criminals!
* Having screamed this parting command to the staff, Hands manages to draw his sword and takes a swing at Coriolis's leg, inflicting a moderate flesh would that causes the Watcher to relax his grip, which Hands then eludes, before he can fling him out of the door. He slings his shield-strap over his arm and makes ready to receive any other 'unprovoked assault'. *
Self-defence! Clear-cut - all three of 'em 'ave attacked me now! They're in it together!

*Watching with growing inpatience Catherine had seen straight through Sly Hands lies but also didn't want a fight starting within her shop. She looked over to the woman who had been accused of attacking him first and gasped quietly. The voice she had heard hadn't quite prepared her for the sight of her old friend and them enemy.* *In her head.* See Catherine your past always catches up with you.... *She looked at Midnight and the mark around her mouth. Definatly Sly had moved first. Midnight was quiet and just watched looking back at Catherine surprise mirrored on her face. Despite their past Catherine knew Midnight to be honourable and would never attack someone unless provoked. Something she had harshly learned during their time together.. * *Shaking her head she tried to pacify the situation by placing herself in between Coriolis and Sly. In a tone a fed up and annoyed adult would talk to a rude child.* Now come on Sly I'm sure they meant no harm...just protecting thier friend. *She looked into Sly eyes.* I don't want no trouble here...I have buisness to attend to and won't ban people out right. If you stop this right now you may stay...if not... *Looks to Coriolis and takes in his size and shape then back to Sly taking in his....* I'm sure the good sir wouldn't have any problems kicking you out. Now do we have a understanding?

[OCC: you beat me to hitting submit CB ] *Pyrons patience and calmness was rapidly fading, and he decided that it was time to show authority in the shop and prevent damage.* *Pyron puts on a pair of dark black gloves, before putting his hand together. Then as if by magic he seperates them to reveal a fireball sitting in the palm of his right hand.* Well if any of you are keen on causing trouble within the shop, then prehaps you would like to become closely aquainted with this little fireball.. There are enough fireballs for everyone if needed. *Pyron starts to roll the fireball between his hands whilst he waits for one of the above reactions. Whilst he knows using fireballls inside is risky he knows he can extinguish them before they cause too much damage.

*Midnight turned her attention to Pyron breaking her gaze from Catherine. Her eyes slightly wide with shock.*
*Walking over slowly to Pyron she holds out her hand. A chill grows on her hand and turns to a icy blue. She hovers it mere inches from the fireball and feels her hand only warm slightly. The fireball slowly disappears.*
We mean no harm...to anyone.
*Throws a dirty look at Sly.*
Me and my friends came here for help and advice.
*Looks over to Catherine.*
We have something we need looking at. It's very important to us but we have no idea what it does. My friend Coriolis here heard of you during his travels and so we came here.
*Midnights tone changed to a rather dull unfeeling sound. Her emotions held in check by the odd glances given to her by strangers, friends and Catherine alike.*

*Catherine starts to tap her foot quickly.*
OK listen to me...as long as all parties agree to end this no one will get banned. I will sell what ever you want and help as much as I can.
Now do we have a understanding or do I have to call the Watch?

Yes! Yes! Fine! I wasn't doin' anythin' anyway...
* Hands wanders off to another area of the shop, muttering in mock disgruntlement, to 'browse' while still keeping an eye on the proceedings. *

*Midnight nodded her head and headed towards the counter. Her head unfocused and unsure what to say. Deciding on the best course of action she nodded to Coriolis to give her the details.*

*Looking confused, shocked, unsure and still upset from the death of Edmund earlier she went behind the counter. Placing a much needed distance between her and Midnight.*
*To herself.*
What in the world is she doing here? Why is she here? What does she want? but most importantly...has she ever forgiven me?
*Turning her attention back to Coriolis.*
What is this item you have? I can check it over no promises on what help I can give.

*Coriolis steps back to the Saddle-bag/Knapsacks and lifts out the Gold seal that Midnight had brought to them from Bruin. It catches the light in full force and the reflections give it a glow all of it's own. The purest gold from a long dead homeland...*
...An old friend of ours left this for us to find. It apparently has magical abilities but I've no idea what they may be...
*As he speaks, He runs his hand delicately over the Dragon motif that covers the seals face. As he does so, the room is filled with the Blue/Green glow of both Pendants resonating at his touch..*
...I have vague memories of our parents being animal trainers of a sort. We used to have this motif as a painting at home before Arios was destroyed. Do you recognise it at all?

Our parents?! You two related....
*Catherine catches Midnight rolling her eyes but keeping quiet.*
*Realising how rude she is being and that any thing she says at present is heard by everyone in the shop as everyone comes to a stand still to watch the glowing of the two necklaces.*
Sorry...I didn't mean....
*Midnight quickly butts in her voice quiet and soft.*
No need... do you know anything about this artifact or not Catherine? Yes or no?
*Catherine nods her head.*
Dragons are notorious through folk laws and mythology to be able to travel great distances and some even between worlds. It LOOKS like it COULD be a travelling device of somesuch.....or it could just be a plain old gold trinket....
*Looks back and forth between Midnights and Coriolis's necklace as they brighten to a new intensity with this new knowledge.*
but that's seem s doubtful...It at least has some magic to it....
*She holds out her hand*
May I?
*She notices that the man with black hair with a silver sheen...Coriolis she thinks is his name looks to Midnight as if for permission...a nod of the head is given and he hands it over slowly. Taking the seal in her hand as soon as the exchange of hands is complete the jewels stop glowing and return back to their normal state.*
Definatly magic...seems it has a way of knowing who holds it....
*She pauses for a brief moment....*
I have a book somewhere that maybe of help...looking at this I've never seen a dragon like it....the book may help.
*She places the seal on the counter....forgetting about Sly being around.*

*Luckily Midnight doesn't if Sly had wanted gold before...he would definatly want the seal now. She watched it intently almost getting lost in the dragons eyes. She frowns and returns back to the shop. Catherine disappears behind a large book shelf. She reappears only minutes later carrying a large book. The book is deep red leather bound, with delicate but large gold leaves round the edges. In the centre of the cover is surprisingly small writing. Even from where she is Midnight can read the title of the book.*
Magical Devices Throughout History....
*She says the words aloud and a rather suprised Catherine looks up...*
Catherine: You have very good eyes....then again you always did....
Midnight: Yeah I get them from my mother....genes and all that....
Catherine: Your mother? You don't....or should I say didn't have a mother...other than Annabel....
Midnight: Annabel is not, was not and never will be my Mother Catherine....

*Inwardly wincing Catherine nods her head gently and shrugs her shoulders.*
Sorry I didn't mean to come across insensitively...It's just that well Annabel did take you in and look....
*Before she can carry on Midnight butts in again. Her tone of voice gone from soft and quiet to low and sarcastic.*
Midnight: Listen Catherine I'm not here to catch up I have personal FAMILY matters to attend to..Now if you could please help us and let us be on our merry way I'd be most grateful. Can the book help at all?
*Catherine flicnhes at the tone in Midnight's voice but nods her head again and passes the book over to Midnight. Open at a page around the middle of the book.*

*On the page is a large deep emerald grren dragon with eyes as blue as sapphires.*
It seems a lot of things match our eyes and necklaces Coriolis.
*Coriolis moves closer to take a better look at the page. The dragon takes up the majority of the page. The scales seem to shine in the light of the shop. In silver writing next to the dragon almost impossible to read it says...*

[ModNote: Phinehas was last seen in Wanted.] *Phinehas walks in, having "let himself in" through the back of the shop. Everyone seems to be intently staring at a book in Catherine's hands, except the beggar, who is staring even more intently at what appears to be a large, gold ornament on the counter. Obviously, no one notices him, which is to be expected, so he walks over to the seal and picks it up. He then begins to examine it, a frown beginning to crease his forehead.*

*Catherine looks up only just spying a shimmer of gold light as the seal was moved....*
I really wish you would use the shop enterance like everyone else Phinehas. For someone who doesn't want to be noticed you seem to know how to attract attention....anyway as I was saying...
*Midnight in her somewhat unchecked temper yet again butts in...*
I hate to say this but what does Dragons have to do with magical devices through out history?
*Catherine raises a eye brow.*
Well if you'd let me finish Midnight we'd get this sorted..
God don't we sound like we did in the playing grounds?
*Midnight just goes quiet and moves away slightly. Her time with the village hadn't been a happy one..especially the few days before her exile.*
Anyway as I was saying....
(OCC:Theres no Grey colour for words so blue will have to do.) [ModNote: Yes there is! It just isn't among those offered in the drop-down Colours menu. I hope you won't mind me changing it for you.]
The dragon laws are many, they have many gifts other than their obvious physical ones of strength, sharp claws and teeth and their fiery breath.
Dragons have been used through out history for magical devices. Though these are probably the hardest devices to come across because they must be a gift from a dragon family.
Few of accomplised this and even fewer ever discuss the hows of the way they did this feat.
Dragons are independant creatures who take forever to gain trust in a person or race but in gaining and giving of trust they exchange most powerful magical gifts.
The power to travel between worlds is rumoured to be one, also the power of protection over a item or person. along with many other things, the power of flight.
For a person or race to gain the trust of the dragon they are lucky in many ways but cautious they must aslways be for to betray a Dragon is to bring the anger of their whole family.
and sadly that's it...the book doesn't give much information on Dragons as they are still a mystical creature. Sorry but that about all I know...wish it was more.
