*Callimpsest holds his palms up defensively.*
Please, don't become agitated. I was merely observing to see whether Drassandre's words were sparking any return of your memory.
*To Drassandre* Thank you, Drassandre. We shall let Dreslin order his own drink at his clearly abundant leisure.
*Drassandre nods and leaves to fetch the teas.*

*Shadow is getting quite impatient with Callimpsest.*
If you know something I can tell you're trying to hide it. You might as well tell me what's bothering you.

Shadow, I can and will aid you - because I fear few others hereabouts will - but kindly try to curb your paranoia. It will not serve you well in Wolfenden. Now if you will excuse me for a few moments then I will fetch the previously mentioned books from my room, thereby allowing them to do the explaining.
*With a glance in Dreslin's direction, Callimpsest begins to rise from his chair.*

*Shadow doesn't even bother to try talking with Dreslin. She has heard that elves are quite dim-witted and he probably wouldn't know anything anyways. She just sits and waits patiently for Callimpsest.*

*Callimpsest has now left the downstairs area of the inn. While he is upstairs sorting through his books, Drassandre brings two mugs of tea to the table. She looks at Dreslin, who seems not to look back, and wrinkles her brow. Then she turns to Shadow, who is looking lonely.*
Drassandre: Very quiet, isn't he? He was fine when I woke him earlier. There again, he'd been asleep. Maybe this realm doesn't agree with him! I wonder if he came here by dragon? A customer once told me that if you cross too many lands too fast on a dragon, you fall ill with 'wyrm lag' and feel out of sorts for days!

Wyrm lag, eh? Well if he's that quiet then it mustn't be that good.
*Shadow takes the tea and takes a sip of it. Immediately she feels quite relaxed. Although she hasn't even heard of this tea before, she is sure she has tasted something like it before. But she soon dismisses this.*

Drassandre: Have you ever travelled by dragon?

No but I have met a dragon before. His name was Owen and he was pleasant company. I guess I wouldn't have minded a ride off him.

Drassandre: Owen? I've heard of him. My old boss, the landlord of the Crazed Heifer, says he was named after Owen though I don't know how that came about. How did you meet him?

I found him on my travels. He'd dropped a firestone that he was playing with so I picked it up for him and then we got talking. He told me that one day, if we ever met again, he'd give me a ride. But I haven't seen or heard from him for 4 months now.

Drassandre: You're fortunate: I don't believe anyone else has sighted him for years. Did he tell you of his time in the Dungeon?

*Shadow looks quizzically at Drassandre. What did she mean by 'dungeon'? Had he been arrested or something?*
Umm...not that I remember, no.

Drassandre: Gracious! Even for a dragon he must have led a fascinating life if he didn't think the Knightmare Dungeon worth mentioning!

The...Knightmare Dungeon? Sorry, I've never heard of the place.

Drassandre: Oh. How rare. There again, you have lost your memory! Callimpsest can tell you much about it, but in short, it means all the rooms and places below Lord Dunshelm's castle, and beyond it, that were used for adventuring in years gone by. Owen is one of a few dragons who used to live there.
