* An hour or so has passed since the travellers ragged departure from the Dunwood and for Coriolis the time has past in near silence. The only sounds that of air currents and the steady "thwomp thwomp thwomp" of Dragon hide wings. Above them the sun has risen while below them, the steady green of the forest has lightened to the diamond encrusted white of snow and ice.*

*The unconscious Watcher had missed all of the action as she slowly mentally, emotionally and physically recovered from the last few days and the use of magic on the woman. Her body slowly began to stir from the deep almost unnatural sleep, there were signs of movement at her hands and feet and her eye lids fluttered slightly with hints of dreaming going on behind the closed eyes.* *The dragon, after the dropping of the tree had kept the flight slow only approaching about sixty miles a hour with her current occupents.* *Once some distance had certainly been put between them and enemy territory she turned her long neck to angle her head to look over to the first of the "riders" I will assume this is the Winterian winter land that my guardian spoke of when she came to me? (OOC:Seen as this is the first time the dragon has been to Wolfenden let alone beyond she would not naturally know where Winteria is. )

Close enough, Dragon. Just keep the Sun on your right and fly onward. Our destination will be obvious soon enough.
*He looked down as Rhiannon stirred. A sense of relief that She was back with them and could take over Dragon duties.*
Welcome back Lass. I hope you enjoyed your catnap. I've been busy having Kittens thanks to this damned beast of yours...

'Turnscrew' Wren asked, holding the palm of his working hand out.
Leytan dipped into his satchel once again, rummaging around the labyrinthine mess of compartments, vials, sharpened implements and other bizarre objects that comprised his possessions.
'Do you actually use all of this equipment? Some of this gear I don't think they even have names for...'
'I like to stay on top of my profession' Wren answered flatly, the fingers of his hand twitching anxiously. 'Besides, it's all the basic equipment an assassin is required to possess if he is to be prepared for anything.'
'Is that right? Well, I never needed thirty different alternatives to arsenic to do my job, that I can tell you. Is this it?' said Leytan, producing a bewildering looking instrument that had more jagged edges than a mouthy hydra.
'Close enough' replied Wren, taking the object and immediatly setting about applying it to his damaged hand. The leather had been pulled back, and now Leytan could properly get a good look at the cause of the blue sparks he had witnessed back in the forest. Where there was meant to be flesh and bone, Wren's right hand instead resembled something more akin to a slender gauntlet, seemingly fused to his skin at the wrist.
He wondered whether or not now was the time to broach the subject of it...

*Now was the wrong time for a unconscious Rhiannon to stir from her sleep, her eyes flickering open, slowly and sleepily , a vague haziness apparent in her eyes as she began to look around at her new location, her eyes unfortunately landing on a metl hand, her eyes widening in shock and horror, her eyes then narrowing to two dark blue slits as without truely taking in the rest of her surroundings , as blinding memories of Hakonau stretched in front of her she began to roll , roughly and rapidly towards the edge of the dragon, not even truely seeing the others or even who the metallic hand belongs....*

HOLD IT! Oh no ye don't... *Already stood close to Her, 2 dinnerplate sized paws get themselves in the way and a set of sharp teeth gently clamps itself onto the scruff of Her neck. The tiger shuffled his hind legs to either side of her waistline, a front paw under each armpit and He part nuzzled, part dragged Her forward towards the saddle mounts in front of the Dragons Shoulders. Much like a hunter would drag fresh prey.* [Through partly gritted teeth] D'you mind? This is YOUR charge after all. *Releasing Her neck a moment, both front paws moved to Her hands and pushed them down on to the scale plates. Hoping that She'd take the hint and grab on, Coriolis turned his head to eyeball Wren.* I've yet to find out why you have that but I will do soon enough. In the meantime, would you kindly put that thing away? I've had enough pain brought out by a Dreamer tinkering with contraptions they should never have touched in the first place. I don't need to see you disassembling that claw of yours while I have 2 lovers, a half dead companion and a ruddy great big gekko to deal with.

Wren looked up, glowering at Coriolis but choosing to keep his tone civil.
'I would like to remind you, my malodorous moggy, that this appendage's current state came about as the result of twice saving someone's life. Yours, if I recall correctly. Should it be required to do so again, I'm sure you would be grateful for it to be in the best possible working condition. Hmm?'

Given the trouble I'm likely to be in with this one, *A single claw pointed at Rhiannon.*, you should have just let me drop. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened and it sure as all the hells won't be the last...
I just want to be off this damned beast of burden and back under my own steam. You can't truly SEE the realm like this. Only the spread out blanket of White and Green.
... and anyway! A Cat always lands on it's feet and as you so rightly pointed out...
*He tilts his head sideways in a sarcastically "Cute" pose...*

*Leytan biteing his lower lip and seeths at Coriolis words to his freind, still greatly uncomfortable at being on the dragon and this high up his normaly cool demnure is freyed already and this pushes him to far. He glowers at Coriolis, then turns to Wren.*
"Don't bother looking for gratuied from that mongrul moggy he dosen't know the meening of the word."
*And then just to further show contempt for Coriolis he looks at Wren's hand and askes*
"How much damage he brought about this time??"
*Leytan sudenly shivers slightly.*
"Breeer...we're getting close to the Winterian Border i can feel the chill in the air."
*He looks across to Lady Mercury.*
"I don't suppose Isabel you could magic up a couple of furs for the three of us?? Its going to get rather cold from this point on."

Wren waved Leytan's words away, smirking. 'It's no bother. I'm sure I was getting in the way more than anything.' It was spoken with sincerity, but he winked at Leytan privatly.
'As for this piece of detritus, well, it's a bit of a patchwork job' he grimaced, giving the inside of his palm another twist with the turnscrew. 'But it's workable. So long as I don't shake anyone's hand for the next 24 hours I should get along fine.'

*Coriolis looked down to the ground below as a familiar sight started to snake it's way through the Snow covered forest. It was the pathway that He'd followed back to Wolfenden after being dumped off a kite a while ago. Coriolis smirked a little at the memory, it hadn't been that long ago but still felt like another lifetime.* [Quietly] Ah... Good. Finally the chance for a little fun. *He turned to Wren* Keep that in mind, Traveller. We're nearly there... [To/At the Dragon] Would you kindly take us down a little? I'd like to ease some of your burden. *He started to move back in the threesomes general direction...*

*The moment Coriolis had jumped onto her back a low but deep growl came from her throat smoothly and easily any presence of sleep now gone as if awoken by being dipped into a lake of ice cold water. The growl only fading as he moved off her back and back towards the three giving her space as she moved over to the dragons neck before sitting up right and and dropping one leg either side of the dragons broad neck. Her hair being tossed around at the wind that skimmed over her as the dragon continued to fly.*
Go lower down to the ground but not by too much good dragon.
*Her head moving from side to side as she scanned the ground below and the horizon then pointed to a snow covered cliff.*
We can drop him there.......though perhaps with little pain.
*Her voice seemed slightly strained and rather quieter than normal. Her head briefly turning to look over the other three her gaze lingering the most on the woman. Her eyes narrowing slightly in thought before turning back to face the horizon in front of them.*

*Lady Mercury sighed under her breath*
"Men!!"
*She waved a dismissive hand, and several rugs of an unknown material fell over Leytan and Wren's heads. She glanced over as she felt Midnight looking at her, and for a second, her eyes seemed filled with pain and sorrow, the emotion vanishing as quickly as it appeared*

*Coriolis had the trademark wry grin across his face when the mighty warrior and assasin huddled themselves under the cloth. Sensing their descent he looked down over the edge and spotted the cliff that was approaching rapidly.* [thinking] That'll do just nicely, Thank You Sister... [Out loud] Time to travel the way I was always meant to. RHIANNON! I'm just stepping outside, I may be gone for some time... *He checked that the path below was near and waited just long enough to pick his moment before leaping straight up in the air and letting the slipstream catch him. From the groups viewpoint, He was catapulted backwards and down into the maelstrom of cloud, snow and tree covered rock. Paws held out wide in the close approximation of a latter day Sky-Diver* *Perhaps deliberately, He missed the edge of the cliff by several feet and was falling parallel with the rock face. Another 30 feet on and the reason for this became clear...* *The ground below wasn't a vertical drop but more of a steeply banked slope made from the piled snow and rockfall of a millenia. Luckily for Coriolis an almost straight path through the trees made it's way down the mountain. Probably from a river that had long since frozen solid. The Tigers stance changed as He neared the ground, Hind legs tucked under and pushed out almost straight beneath him, front legs still splayed for stability and ready to save him from a nasty faceplant.* *He hit the ground at speed... but this time didn't leave a crater for others to mourn over. The shape of the hillside, guided his decent down the frozen river bed. A massive flurry of white being kicked up behind him as the claw churned snow and ice was caught by the biting wind.* *As He neared the bottom the Ice river started to meander and become difficult to navigate at such a high speed. Desperately trying to half Ski/half ice skate with no more than 4 paws, multiple claws, half a wing and more than a little prayer, Coriolis decided that discretion was the better part of valour and once more leapt back into the air to avoid the roughening ground.* *He eventually landed at a shallow angle onto the pathway they'd observed from above, sliding sideways to a halt in a tidy if somewhat ungraceful finish. Hopefully the Swedish or French judges would still approve.* *A quick check over to make sure that everything was still attached to him the way it was intended and Coriolis found himself with a clear ice road ahead and a Dragon above. With a roar that would shake the heavens, his claws dug into the frozen ground and the Tiger was underway.* *In his mind, the race was on...*

*Midnight stared down after her brother a moment as the dragon once again rose into the skies, her speed slowing as she regained the original height. Midnights eyes narrowed as did the dragons both their gazes following the tiger , the dragon shook her head slightly while Midnight simply frowned and sighed.*
His ego grows far too high and I grow tired of being one to feed it , that will get him in trouble one day and I won't be around to do anything.
*She muses quietly under her breath, briefly looking over her shoulder once more at the huddled three.*
I would of thought you would be more used to the cold Leytan.
*A playful smile crossing her lips at the sight of him covered in a fur coat and huddled up to keep warm, though the sight of the fur made her skin feel itchy and a nervous twitch in her stomach. She wondered how such magic was balanced out, and if so was there three animals now some where that were a few minutes ago living breathing and now not, or was there now three empty coat racks some where from which they were before. Everything had a balance , nothing just came from empty air, that was impossible. What was given was taken from some where or what was taken was given some where.*
*Though she did not let her mind linger too much on such, it was not her magic and thus not her problem though the shadow...creature could be. For now though her gaze turned to the back of the dragons head. Her tone of voice becoming deeper, louder and speaking in draconic she began to communicate with the dragon privately thought it was not too long before her cheeks though red from the cold becoming a deeper red and spread over her skin as her voice became more high pitched and anger lanced into it like heated lances , her gaze narrowing as it once more turns to her brother though unseen her eyes turn to a similar colour as the ice around them. Seemingly white at first but with a blue tint , darker flecks of blue and steel grey seeming to swirl almost like a impending storm.*
