*Leytan wraps the fur coat around him and looks at Midnight he smiled slightly.*
"I'm only half Winterian remember. So i do feel the cold of this place....not the the extent Wren Isabel and you and Coriolis in your human forms will....but still enough to make it somewhat un-comfortable."

*Lady Mercury glanced over to the others and smiled slightly*
"Well, magic is very useful for not feeling the cold, and that's why I didn't bring a blanket for myself, though apologies if you expected fur coats, I'm afraid I prefer that animals keep their skin!" She said cheerfully as she glanced ahead
"By the way, I'm glad yiour feeling better, and thank you for saving my life!" Lady Mercury bowed to Midnight, for once, no hint of teasing, only sincerity

*She glanced back a moment only just briefly catching the womans words about the fur coats or in this case lack of and smiled slightly nodding her head appreciatively though her eyes were still the same swirling colour and the impending storm taint to them, her cheeks, neck and seemingly downwards becoming redder and darker in colour as she turned back to talk to the dragons head. Continuing their talk before her gaze focused on her brother a moment.*
Go lower, give that heath rug a nice scare see if we can't speed him up a little..

*Down below, 2 green glints flicked towards the heavens as the growing shadow of a certain Dragon blotted out the sun.*
[Thinking] ooh! So ye wanna play games d'ye? Bring it on Sister! Bring it on...
*Another roar of exortation and the Watcher redoubled his efforts. Charging through the forest like the pride of Lanark himself. Though the Dragon could fly a straight course, the ice road beneath twisted and turned as it meandered it's way through the trees and provided quite the challenge for him to navigate. It took a sudden rise before dipping downward and to the left. The Tiger didn't slow down, his hind quarters jamming on the brakes for a moment to swing his tail around sideways before powering upwards and out of the dip in a massive broadside drift. Piles of snow being churned up and spat out behind those big paws as he travels.*
*A short straight then a blind right-hander narrowing itself through the trees. Coriolis spots the bend a fraction too late and makes a move that the inexperienced may think unorthodox. He turns LEFT for a moment as if wanting to leave the road and settle down in a ditch but don't be fooled. A split second later his front paws tighten and dig into the snow as the big cat pendulums himself back to the right and once again drifts round sideways with barely a heartbeat skipped or any momentum lost.*
*... and so begins the delicate ballet, the snowbound "Climb Dance" of pathway and traveller. With barely enough grip to stand on yet he turns left and right with the grace of an ice skater in the midst of a Bolero, using the difficult terrain to his advantage.*
*To him, THIS is how a realm is experienced. On the ground, in your face, every step of the journey a physical effort to move forward. None of this wasted time spent watching the sunrise as a beast of burden carries you along. You choose your own path, guided by experience, by skill, by the lay of the land... and just as often in this case by thick banks of snow at the edge of the path...*

*From above the dragon followed the tigers path , the black stripes causing him to stand out like a sore thumb. Midnight watched his tactic with a slight smile though her eyes were still glazed with anger and if seen under neath it all...disappointment. She shook her head a little more then leaned forward and brought her palms to the dragons neck , her hands moving over the shimmering scales.*
How about we give him a little bit of a slope.....let him put those claws to use .....
*The dragon nodded her head slightly and lowered herself as low as possible to the mountains with out endangering her carriers and opened her mouth then began to breath out a icy breath as it struck the snow it began to form a thick icy path under the tigers paws.*

*The path was already slippery but the thickening layer of glass smooth ice wasn't going to help matters. Unfortunately for Coriolis it also meant him misjudging another turn further along. He sideswiped the bank with a heavy thud that knocked the wind out of his sails for a moment. The headlong charge halted as front paws nearly slid in opposite directions to cause the mother of all faceplants into the snow.* [coughs] whoops... *He looked up and say the tell-tale plume of vapour coming from the Dragons mouth.* [thinking] Oh so you want to CHEAT do you? We'll see who gets their sorry tail to the prize first. *A little flex in the paws and four sets of claws stud the ground between slick pads. Digging into the ice, He almost seemed to run on the spot for a moment before catapulting forward again. His head turning left and right to balance swaying hind quarters in their quest for traction on the powdered surface...*

*Midnight smiled faintly then gave the dragons neck a couple of light taps, the cold scales seeming to feel warmer against her finger tips some how.*
Let him be now, me and him will be having strong words later.
*The dragon slowly rose back up higher into the sky, the large shadow constantly covering the running tiger below.*

*Lady Mercury smiled delightedly as she looked at the fast moving landscape beneath her*
"Now this is the best way to travel!" She said, glancing wickedly at Wren and Leytan, who were still wrapped up in their cloaks and shivering

[Overhearing from underneath]
*Thinks* Yeah... Who are you kidding Lass?
*It had to be said that the Dragons advantage both in speed and Her ability to fly a die-straight line to their destination was making this quite a challenge for the Tiger below. His breath becoming visibile in the cold air as He battered on. The striped pelt glistening with clear crystals from the air and terrain. The path behind him scattered with ice filled paw-prints.*
*There was no "official" competition but there was also no way he was going to be left behind by a pair of Draconic wings...*

*Lady Mercury grinned as she leaned over the edge of the dragon and looked down, although it looked like if she leaned too far forward, she might fall off the dragon in her appreciation of the view*
"You guys have to see this view!" She called over to Leytan and Wren

*Leytan rolled his eyes and drew the cloak tighter around him...however a wry smile drew across his face.*
"With the wind speed as fast as it is Isabel, if you lean any further forward your likely to end up giveing me and Wren a very...nice view."
*he retorted. He then looked towards the horrizon.*
"You may want to think about landing soon Midnight...we're crossing into Winteria very close to its boarder with the Fire Lands of Calpathia."
*He jerked his head sligtly to the right were there was deffinatly a Orange tinge to the sky in the distance.*
"They might think we're Calpathian's and open fire & that would just make our journy all the more strenuas."

*Lady Mercury smirked at Leytan's comment*
"I see you're beginning to feel better! Oh, don't worry about me, I've got a fail safe in place should such an eventuality occur!" She added jokily
*She glanced down at Leytan's comments, as if expecting to see an imminent attack*
"Well, they could try, but I think we'd be able to handle them, though it probably wouldn;t be very good for diplomatic realtionships here!"
*She glanced over at Leytan*
"How are you feeling? As I recall when you were fighting with us, you hadn't been back to Winteria in some time... It's a long time to be away from home" she said wistfully

*Looked at Lady Mercury. Then he looked slightly to oneside at Wren. He sifted uncomfortably, he regarded Wren as a good "fox hole bubby" and even a freind, more so the later after Warlock., but he still wasn't comfortable talking about personal things like this in lisening range of him.*
*So Leytan decided to move closer to Lady Mercury.*
"Pardon me Wren i think i better go pull Isable away from the edge before she plumets."
*he said to wren to excuse his movement. he then edged his way over to Lady Mercury and sat by her side...though he faced the oppisote way with his back to the long drop down to earth.*
"Honestly Isabel....I don't know how i feel."
*He said quietly so only his lover could hear him.*
"Its not just..."my home" or closest thing i have to one...but its my family as well. Been years since i've seen my half sister.."
*he said wistfuly*
"And now i'm going to turn up on her doorstep with 2 freinds, a nuissesn fur ball....and my lover."
*he said with a slight smirk. Then he looked thoughtfull as he remembered something.*
"You and me never did managed to visit Winteira together did we...You remember we'd planned to take some leave from the ranks of the Netherworld armies and we'd managed to hire a small cabin in Winteria for 4 days....just the two of us."
*scowled slightly*
"That was until that ruby "betrothed" of yours De Grayling screwed it all up by provoking the dark legion by slaugthering all thouse Prioners of war and all leave was canceld....and they call me a war criminal. How your mother and father can't see threw De Grayling i'll never know. The man should have been hanged long ago not knighted."

*Back down at ground level, a very slight lead was being gained as the rythmic drumming of paws pushed hard along the snow bound path. Coriolis didn't have the view of the others. All He could see was trees, path, trees, Dragon, with the occasional glimpse of sky if the ground fell away downhill from him.*
*He was starting to quietly pray that there wasn't far to go now before the path opened out and landed him in front of the local architecture. Travelling the realms at ground level was still the best way to go in Coriolis opinion but a 4 mile sprint against a master of the skies is enough to give anyone a good run for their money.*
*Still... He was the one that had started this and He'd be damned if that overgrown handbag was going to beat him to their destination. Wherever in all the hells that might actually be in Winteria...*

*Lady Mercury grinned as Leytan sat next to her, but with his back to the drop*
"Ahh, how gallant!" She said teasingly, "making sure I don't plummet to my doom!"
*Lady Mercury glanced sideways at Leytan's comments*
"Well, aren't we cheeky? Who said we were picking up where we left off? I'm still mad at you for leaving me behind!" She added jokingly, then lowered her voice slightly.
"It'll be fine Leytan, from what you mentioned of her, I think she'll just be glad to see her brother!"
*Lady Mercury gazed into the distance as she thought about Leytan's last comments*
"I know what you mean Leytan, and you have every right to be angry about it, however, as far as my parents are concerned, he's the epitome of a knight, always willing to do what's necessary, even if it's morally and fundamentally wrong. Unfortunately, that thinking permeated most of the armed forces, including some of my Order... " She finished sadly
