*Robin looks at YG's retreating form, then dashes out of the inn, back to where he was previously. He looks up at Callimpsest, hanging there...*
HANG ON, CASSIMPLESS! I'LL...
...I'll... I'll do what?
*His hands go for his sword, but he then realises that he doesn't have any monsters to despatch.*
I'LL THINK OF... OF SOMETHING...
*He thinks.*
I think I've got an appropriate arrow for this... but I'll be damned if I know which!
*Robin starts riffling through his quiver.*
I hope the others will have a better idea...

*Phoenixflame balanced lightly on the window sill, and smiled reassuringly at Callimpsest*
"Don't worry, we'll have you down safely!"
*She reached a hand out to where Callimpsest was dangling, hanging onto the sill with her other hand but couldn't quite reach*

I am not letting go!

*In spite of the panic around him, Dreslin has been trying to remain calm. Having just skimmed the apology note which YG left for him, he refocuses his attention on the goings-on in and outside the room, and realises that PhoenixFlame is standing on the window sill. This worries him.*
PhoenixFlame, you're even less safe than Callimpsest out there. At least he has something to hold onto! Please come back in, before you too have an accident.

*Morwena landed lightly on Dreslin's shoulder and looked at Phoenixflame balanced precariously on the window sill*
"Well, she is kind of holding on with one hand" she remarked with a laugh, "normally she would;ve just been hanging out the window without anything!"
*Phoenixflame glanced over at Morwena's comments and grinned sheepishly*
"I'll be OK, Dreslin, I've stood on worse things than this!"
*Phoenixflame glanced out the window to Callimpsest*
"Callimpsest, I could probably cast a float spell on you to get you down, how are you with heights, as you go up first then down?"

I note your use of the word "probably", Headmistress! Exactly how dependable, not to mention how safe, is the spell?

*Phoenixflame glanced over at Callimpsest and frowned as she thought about the question*
"Well, I would say around 8 times out of ten it works, and when it does work, it works really well, but when it doesn't work, well, that;s why I asked if you had a head for heights!"

Given that I'm finding current circumstances less than relaxing, I would have to say no!
*Callimpsest winces. The muscles in his arms are beginning to ache.*

*Phoenixflame looked worried as she noted the effort it was taking Callimpsest to hang on, she makes a gesture and a load of cushions appear beneath Callimpsest*
"Can't say I blame you on the float spell, hang on, i've got it! My quetzalcoatl should be able to carry you down, I'll call him now!"
*Phoenixflame's eyes glow slightly as she murmurs an incantation*

*The power of the brick causes magical interference. Shortly after the cushions materialise, they pop open with a hoarse sneezing sound, and feathers emerge and fly away. A few end up in orbit around the brick.*

*Callimpsest's anxiety is growing. He interrupts PhoenixFlame's chanting.*
Pulsating prunes. You're summoning an Aztec god?? I can't say that that will calm my nerves! And if I may reiterate, I am not letting go! To do so would be to relinquish the brick, which despite appearances is our captive!

*Phoenixflame breaks off chanting and looks quizzically at Callimpsest*
"Erm, Callimpsest? I don't think think the brick is going anywhere, if it was going to escape, surely it would;ve done so when robin fired the arrow! Ohh, I could use a magnet spell, and pull you and the brick within reach!"

*Increasingly flustered in the face of a fatal fall* Oh please don't patronise me, Headmistress, the brick may not have been fleeing but I have done our inquiry the service of actually ensnaring it! *Pauses for breath, almost inhaling a feather* So for the good of us all, yes yes, do spellcast!

*Phoenixflame looked puzzled* "Patronising? I assure you Callimpsest, that wasn't my intention, however, here goes with the spell!" *Phoenixflame motioned with her hands towards Callimpsest, and he felt a slight tugging on himself as the spell gripped him, and started pulling him towards the window sill* (OOC: Up to you how the brick reacts )

*The brick continues to be magic-proof, and is not shifted by PhoenixFlame's spell. Callimpsest maintains his grip on the net handle as the magic takes effect on him. Soon he has been pulled almost horizontal, his feet close to the window sill. His mouth and eyes are wide with fright.*
