*Morwena glanced over at Callimpsest*
"As you say, if there was any heat, I didn't feel it, and I didn;t feel any gravitiational pull either"
*Morwena looked puzzled s she watched the pebble and arrow float around it*
"Surely we should;ve felt something! Maybe Red and I can try dragging it away from the window?"
*Morwena looks at the others to see what they think*

*Red nods at this to show his agreement*
"Yes, good idea...but let's be as careful as possible. We might not have felt anything ominous from it, but we can't let our guard down either, not after what's just happened to Zeytan"
*He starts flapping his wings and flexing his claws in readiness*

*Nods* It's not without risk - even running a school library is not without risk *sighs*. But the pair of you will be immune to vertigo at the very least!

Go for it!

*Morwena and Phoenixflame nodded at the others words, and Morwena flew up to the brick, hovering beside it and waiting for Red to join her. *
"Careful Mor, as Red said, we don;t want anymore injuries, and I know you're worse than a cat sometimes with your curiosity!" Phoenixflame said with a wry smile

*Red flies up to the brick after Morwena, and hovers beside her, eyeing the piece of masonry suspiciously as he does so. Again, he flexes his claws in readiness, then he turns to Morwena*
"Ready when you are"

*Morwena nods in agreement and flies over to the brick and lands on one side of it, gripping it with her claws, then flaps her wings to stabilise herself as she waits for Red to join her*
*On the ground Phoenixflame looks pensive as Morwena lands*

*Red lands on the other side shortly after and takes the other side of the brick in his claws in the same manner as Morwena. He nods to her to show he's ready to start attempting to move the brick*

*Morwena nodded back at Red, then began to attempt to move the brick away from the building. Morwena looked at Red as they tried moving it*
"this feels strange!" She panted, "we're both strong, we should be able to just fly off with this, but its barely moving!"

*Straining at his side of the brick, Red is struck with a strange feeling that all is not as it appears*
"This may sound very strange, but even though the object is small enough...I'm getting the sense that there is more density to it than what we can see with our eyes!"
*After a few seconds of struggling to move his side of the brick, it moves forward slightly...but it is hardly noticeable. Even so...*
"Morwena...I think I might just have moved my side of the brick a little! "

*Morwena glanced over at Red and nodded*
"Now I'm actually trying to move this brick, I get the same feeling! Ooof!!"
*Morwena gasped with exertion as she felt the brick beneath her her mover very slightly*
"I think I've managed to move my side a little too, but the way we're both straining, we should be halfway to Winteria! It's like trying to drag a planet!

*On hearing Robin's shouts of encouragement, Red strains to pull his side of the brick a little further forward - it shifts a little more but the physical exertion gets too much for Red and he stops, panting*
"It's no use, I don't think we're going to be able to move this brick much further, it's exhausting us too much. I think we should stop there and fly back down and tell the others we'll have to think of another strategy. What do you say?"

*Zeytan, haveing bandaged his burnt hand with a hanckecif, watches from below with the other observers.*
"I think that to move this brick may be beyond the capabilitys of our two winged freinds. This object appers to be much heveier then it looks, or the magic that is holding it in place is two strong."
"A Change of stratagey may be called for. What say you Callimpsest??"

*Callimpsest nods.*
Evidently this so-called brick has relative dimensions in space that do not match its true size and weight. That is to say, it's bigger on the inside. It's also possible that, to supplement whatever magic is powering it from within, it draws energy from without, so that those who touch it have their strength slightly sapped, and are prevented from applying their full vim to moving it. Failing that, it may simply perpetuate itself by taking energy from the air. It puts me in mind of the chameleon lizard, which can disguise itself to hide among its surroundings, and is said by some to eat the air.
But yes, a new approach. Remember the net of mine which you recovered from the forest, Zeytan? It is capable of securely holding items both heavy and magical. If we could get the net over the brick, and then work to move it with our collective wealth of strength and agility, we might succeed.
