*Raven, not hearing her last remark ponders for a while*
If she were still in the building, perhaps the inn-keeper would know of her?
*Raven looks around for the inn-keep...*
Perhaps he is still outside.. I suppose he is still pondering on the floating brick...

[OOC: Just to clarify: Callimpsest and Lady Mercury were not in the main reception/eating area of the inn, but at her/Leytan's room, established earlier in this thread as 'room 24 ... sepreat from the main rooms [and on] the very top floor.'] *Callimpsest peers at the young arrival. Perhaps she was drawn to them by the sound of conversation. Clearly she has not overheard all of it, meaning that she can't be an eavesdropper, a spy for dark forces. Good. So who is she? An erstwhile pupil of the boarding school? If so, not one whom Callimpsest met whilst he was there.* A brick that floats? That is of some concern. I would rather like to investigate that. But first, I will visit PhoenixFlame's room, and see if perchance she is there. Do excuse me. *Putting action above words - not something that comes naturally to the former librarian - Callimpsest hurries off to room 14, his original destination.* [OOC: Continued in 'Looking for something'.]

*Raven watches the person leave.*
Do you happen to know of Tom Trough.. er.. Troughton? He is a travelling magician. I was with him a few minutes ago, but he suddenly dissapeared.

(OOC: no worries it's all good ) BIC: *Lady Mercury frowned slightly as she thought* I'm afraid I don't recall the name, though if he is staying here, perhaps another magic user may have sensed his magical movements?"

*Raven stops and a look of realisation comes across her face* You're right... infact... I had some Detect Powder I got from a guy at the market! *Raven does a half-curtsey/bow and makes for the door*

*lady mercury watches as raven heads toweards the door*
"Good luck!" she calls after Raven
*left alone again, lady mercury sighs heavily, and wanders over to the window*
"Well, that was a welcome distraction from my thoughts, however, it does not help me decide what to do next...."
*Lady Mercury sits down on the bed, and places her head in her hands*

*Time passes.* [OOC: Continued from 'Back In Tom's Room'.] *Drago has found his way to the staff quarters. After knocking on a few doors and hearing no reply, he knocks on the door of Leytan's room, which of course is occupied at the moment, but by someone else...*

[ModNote: Surely Drago's swift shutting of the door prevented the tooth (I assume there's just the one), which he'd just made efforts to dodge, from pursuing him? And if it had pursued him, I think he would have noticed before he went wandering off around the inn. The intention here is just to have a short undisrupted interlude where Drago meets Lady Mercury and encourages her to return to Tom's room with him - and then the tooth's advance on Drago can recommence. ]

*at the knocking on the door, lady mercury looks up, and angrily wipes at her eyes. She stands up and heads towards the door. Upon opening it, she sees Drago standing there*
"Can I help you?" She asks

Yes. Good day, miss. My friend and I were paying a visit to room... I don't know the number, in fact. But we've been having a, um, smidgeon of hassle. There are no other staff around, and apologies if you're not on duty, but I was wondering if you might help.

"I'm afraid I'm not actually a member of staff for this establishment, I'm merely an acquaintance of someone who works here, why, what seems to be the problem?"

Oh. I do apologise. I should have guessed from your poise and outfit that you are no chambermaid. And your eyes, which have clearly looked upon finer things than a grimy windowsill and a pile of sweepings. *He pauses and smiles, confident that his compliments have been well received.* The problem, such as it is, seems to be that a girl I don't know is unconscious, a burning hot tooth with a will of its own has it in for me, and my firedrake could be gorging himself on someone else's Dragon Nip as we speak.

*smiles slightly at the compliment*
"Well, it does sound like your having a bit of a problem... Well, in regards to the unconcious girl, I can recommend using smelling salts, though I cannot guarantee that will work."
*Lady Mercury reaches into a pouch that is concealed with her belt. She pulls out a small phial, and hands it to Drago*
"Now, as to the tooth, is it still in the room? With regards to the dragon gorging on dragon nip, well, let's just say I don;t want to get between a dragon and his dragon nip!"
*Lady Mercury says this last comment with a cheeky smile*

Thank you.

Believe me, nor do I. But as I said, the Dragon Nip is not his. It was because of the lure of the stuff that he landed us here, and I'd rather he didn't land us in hot waters by taking it! Where his sudden impulse to steal others' property has come from, I don't know.
As regards the tooth, if you're not engaged in any other business at present, perhaps you'd care to see the thing. Though once you've been introduced, you may well have need of the smelling salts yourself.
