Blissfully unaware of the effect his words had on Leytan, Wren removed his cloak and collapsed onto the unmade pallet that was his bed.
"If anyone with a big axe comes asking round for me, tell them I'm out," he mumbled. Within seconds he had already begun dozing.

*Leytan shrugged*
"Be breaking up a great team.....but if you so wish....just be a shame to squander all the posabilities you na dme together could afford."
*Leytan laid back down and went to sleep himself*

Post by Daenary's Shar on Sept 21, 2010 21:36:02 GMT
*Time passed rapidly for those that slept and perhaps too slowly for those that spent the night awake considering various escape plans that never came to foundation as their rumbling voices gave way to at least their conscious state. The guards felt they would deal with any mess in the morning and so the rest of the night passed thankfully uneventful.
It was though in the shadows of the staff that actions went on. Various weapons were made ready and a highly valued, dark blue almost black piece of cloth was being gently washed and prepared. Along it's sides were in icy blue the Shar family crest .
Daenary's woke up at five am and made ready for the day ahead. She got a hot bath then a cold wash. She dressed in her hunting clothes and had a warm and filling breakfast that would keep her sated until past lunch time..
As she was bout to settle the final matters she had one of her servants summoned to her.side.*
"Have the male guests in the bedroom given some breakfast. Something filling but takes time to chew. I am sure cooks porridge shall do fine. Have the true stranger in formed thst his presence is required out side the main gate. Also have Aaron escort my blood kin down to the cold room and have him kept there until my return.
*The female servant with short ,blonde hair nodded gently before curtsying and leaving Daenary's room. She quickly gathered two bowls of porridge from the kitchen and went to the guests room. She knocked once before one of the guard let her in with a nod.*
"Good morning Sire's."
*She said politely as she placed the large tray down on the floor between their beds. The tray had two large bowls of porridge, a smaller bowl of berry jam, honey and sugar. Also two cups were upon with steaming water within, a small jug of cold milk and coffe grains in another.
As she rose to her feet she brought her gaze to Wren.*
"The Crown Princess states your attendence is required out side the main gate in fifteen minutes."
*She then turned to Leytan.*
"Aaron shall come and collect you after you have finished your breakfast."
*That said she simply left the room. A soft click sounding once more as the door was locked by the guard.*

*Leytan watched her go*
"Well little Eiriol certainly grown a lot since I last saw her."
*he mused. Before turing his attention to the porraige*
"Come on Wren eat up...nothing like a good breakfest to start the day of right."

Wren blinked.
"Is that how it works? The condemned has to turn up to their own execution, unescorted? I can see why this place is such a dominant global power."

*Leytan looked up at Wren with a semi frown*
"Considering my Sister is one of the few Wintierian royals to be a of a stanuch anti-Oppostion stance the fact she has managed to not only maintain her thrown but has strenthend her postion as both ruler of this bit of the kingdome and as 4th in line....I don't think its anyones position to make fun of her or the kingdome of South Wintieria."
"Second if the were gonner execut you they'd be building a gallows of some sort right now...and I don;t know about you but I don't hear any nails being banged into wood"

"I don't know," said Wren with a mouth full of porridge, "your Crown Princess strikes me as the creative sort when it comes to these matters. I'm fairly sure she could fill me with half a dozen bolts crossing the courtyard and make it look like I broke my neck falling down some stairs. I've mingled with the upper class half my life, I know how they think..."

"... funnily enough, your exploits never got much in the way of a mention in the circles I mixed in," said Wren. "A shame, they would have brightened up some otherwise uninspiring anecdotes." He's royalty... I still can't believe it, he thought. If I was related by blood to the aristocracy, I wouldn't be doing half the things he's gotten up to over the years. And I certainly wouldn't hide it.

"Of course they don't. Do you know, there was a time when I thought that all it took to join the upper classes was knowing a few rules of etiquette, a respectable accent and some choice anecdotes about the lineage of the Plantagenets? A good education would have just sweetened the deal, I thought. Such naivete..."
He sighed, briefly lost in thought.

He sighed and stood up, his bowl picked clean. "Well," he said, "let it not be said I will be found wanting when my time is up." Leaning down, he retrived his cloak from the floor where he had discarded it. "Now then. Throwing knifes - check. Stilettos - check. Poisons, incendaries, on-" He caught Leytan's look. "What? If they're not bothering to escort me, then it's entirely their fault if I choose to turn up as a crazily prepared bastard." "So what was all that about being found wanting, again?" said Leytan. "Precisely that, squire," said Wren. "In fact, when my time's up, I won't be found at all." With that, Wren walked smartly across the room, out the door, and onwards to his fate. *At Coriolis' last words, Lady Mercury laughed*
"SO you want us to put ourselves into a situation where we are more likely to be killed? Your logic is sound, but why should I trust you? I don't trust anyone any more, not even Leytan.. For all I know, you'll both phase when we get out of here, and leave me to be riddled with bolts from our delightful host's guards!! But you know what, fine, it'll be nice to get out of here, though I doubt it's going to be easy.. Well, that's if they're planning on opening that door any time soon! Maybe they're just going to leave us in here to die!!!"
*As Lady Mercury was speaking, her voice seemed to gain a hint of hysteria*
