*Mean while back in the cold room....*
*Midnight would seem to breath easier, deeper and more heavily after the woman's aid. She seeming to relax more into the bed as she seemed to fall deeper into sleep. Her body seeming to have become heavier as she shifts in the bed though she winces and exhales sharply as the cut wrist brushes against her hip as she rolls onto her side before settling again. *
*The pendent slipping down slightly to rest on the mattress still only flickering light dimly almost seeming to fade completely.*

*Lady Mercury glanced over at the door as she heard the sound of the note sliding under the door, and wandered over to pick it up. She frowned as she saw Leytan's handwriting. She picked it up, and scanned the content quickly. She smiled quietly to herself, then pocketed the letter and moved back to check on Midnight*
"Coriolis, does the medallion round your sisters neck mean anything?"

Wren contemplated stating that he could find his own way back, but decided this would be pushing his luck a bit too far.
"Your highness," he said, bowing slightly in a way he hoped would suggest some small degree of deference. Stepping out into the corrdier, he allowed himself to be taken under the guard's custody.

*Daenary's watched as Leytans comrade was taken back to his room. Her head only gently nodding to note his light bow. Once he was out of eye and ear shot she turned to the nearest guard. A faint smile touching her lips while her cold eyes sparkled with curiosity and ideas.*
"Have him awoken as the sun rises. Offer him the chance of a cold bath and breakfast. Once he has done have him brought out side. Have the tools you have of his readied I plan on a little hunt."
"What about your Bloodkin, your Highness?"
"Have him taken to the cold room along with his other comrades. He can wait their until the hunt has reached it's climax. I shall also require the black cloth of Shar for the morning."
*The guard nodded his head slightly then moved off to start the various instructions to have all done before morning.*
*Daenary's returned to her warmer lighter room to settle back into her bed. She slipped the blade back where it belonged as her eyes closed. *
*She started to make ready mentally and physically for tomorrow.*[/i][/color]

By now, Wren had mentally replayed the previous conversation back in his head, and were he the kind of person to bring himself to do so, he would now be making his hand into a fist and gnawing on it.
Instead, he settled for "You'll need to get in line. I have a feeling I may have made a serious error of judgement. One that I will soon be paying dearly for."

Wren told him about the night's events - his visit to the Forge, his run in with the cloaked girl, and his midnight encounter with the Crown Princess.
"So. Be honest with me. On a scale of one through to ten - how dead am I?"

*Leytan shrugged*
"Well......depends on her mood tommorow....."
"and weather or not her Black cap is being cleaned or not." *he added in an off handed after thought type manner
"I'm sure you'll be fine mate...I'm sure all the talk about her having a "Hanging Judge" view on justice is all just malichous gossip."
*he said in a good nature dismisive tone*
"And anyway a hanging, drawing and quatering would make such a mess of the courtyard....and the rack or hot coals would make for to load a time for her hunting."
"So I'm sure you'll be fine."
*he sasid with a disarming smile*

She picked it up, and scanned the content quickly. She smiled quietly to herself, then pocketed the letter and moved back to check on Midnight* "Coriolis, does the medallion round your sisters neck mean anything?" *With a single hand, He reached up and tucked away the Saphire stone around his step-sisters neck. He had no wish of giving away yet more dangerous information about their heritage but to simply blank this unknown companion may show badly against him in the near future.* *Right now, any and all help could well save their hides...* Lass, think of that as a both a blessing and a curse that only She may carry. It was given to Her as a child and grants her a life changing gift... but it's also a constant reminder of those She's lost and a magnet for those who wish to take from Her. *Keen to change the subject, He pointed to Lady Mercurys pocket.* Speaking of reminders, somebody finally remembered that we're still down here in this little box of tricks?

*Realizing that Coriolis wasn't answering her question fully, and noticing his eagerness to change the subject, Lady Mercury decided not to pursue her current line of questioning*
"My apologies, I didn't mean to pry. The note is from Leytan, I believe he thinks that sending me a love letter with flowery words will let him off the hook for guiding us into this political mess. At the moment, I'm undecided what to do with him when we next see him!"
*Lady Mercury smiled grimly as she finished her sentence, then moved away from Midnight and started pacing*
" I'm also concerned that as payment for any transgressions, real or imagined, Leytan's kin will try to use us to further her political power. The situation could have changed, I suppose, and I'm being overly cautious, but I tend to find that wherever you go, politics tends to the stay the same.."

*Eyeballs her and raises an eyebrow.* His Kin, Aye? The pretty little songbird I tasted the Nape of? She's godsdamned FAMILY to that bastard?!? [Chuckles with a hint of gallows humour] That'll be that then... I suggest this to you my dear. When somebody finally deems themself stupid enough to open that door a crack, you be ready to grab Rhiannon and move quickly toward the daylight. *Propped on his side with an elbow, He tosses the Dirk upward and catches it points first in the palm of his hand. The blade stood aloft and spinning as a tiny spot of blood marks its bearing.* There will be neither time to think nor explain, just act. I intend for all the Hells that can find us to quite literally break loose...

(OOC: Firstly, my apologies for the delay in posting, I got a little side tracked with another site I joined recently, and the fact I've not been online much. This weekend was due to attending Frightfest 2010 Mainly though, it's because time is flying these days, I don't know where it goes, lol Right - BIC now *Lady Mercury stopped her pacing and turned round to face Coriolis* "Have you lost your mind?! Your sister is in no state to be moved, and I certainly cannot carry her far. In case you've forgotten, this room is enchanted, right now, I'd be hard pressed to conjure up a loaf of bread, let alone any battle spells!" *She resumed her pacing as she continued to talk* "Do you honestly believe you are a match for the guards? Perhaps in your tiger form, but not now. If you're planning on taking your sister and leaving, I strongly advise caution, these people do not forgive or forget easily. It might be prudent to at least wait for awhile before trying anything. Besides, they won't let us out until morning, and day break is still some time away... " *Lady Mercury stopped her pacing and walked swiftly up to Coriolis* "Your sister saved my life back there, whether that was her intention or not, I don't know, however, whatever the reason, I intend to repay that favour. Unfortunately for you, this means my debt extends to you, which means I'm not about to let you do anything stupid. You do not strike me as the foolish type Coriolis, and I advise you to use caution whilst we are here."

*Growls* One of Her many curses... No one ever gets left behind... Yes, this room seems to be enchanted. It's also a 6'x6' square jar that I have NO interest in remaining bottled up within! I don't belong in here, I belong out there in that godsdamned forest finding my way to the next godsdamned realm! *Regaining a small amount of composure, He pointed to the door that stil remained locked shut. Taunting him with cold iron and lifeless wood.* Look... With a little luck, somebody will be sent to check on us. Even if only for them to figure out what they've caught. When that door opens, a backdraft of the outside world is going to come rushing in. And like any backdraft, what little magic there is will let us go rushing out in a really big hurry... All you have to do is stay close and actually MOVE that little tail of yours for once. If we're fast enough, the 3 of us can drag our carcasses out of here before the garrison realises what's going on. Then you can help Rhiannon and we can figure out our next move. By then we'll actually have the space to make a move rather than being cooped up like this. I don't care for the political situation around here because your companions have made it very simple... If we stay here, we're dead. Do you at least understand that?

"So I'm sure you'll be fine." *he sasid with a disarming smile* "Forgive me if your reasoning does not inspire confidence," he grumbled. "The only reason I agreed to this jaunt of yours was to escape the untoward attention we were attracting, and believe me, I have NO qualms in moving on again if I consider it necessary. In fact, if I survive the next few days, I am seriously considering doing that very thing."
