Knightmare Convention

Thank you to everyone reading this who has supported the Knightmare Convention fundraising campaign by making a pledge and putting the word out on social media. Some I know have done more than others.

And since you are reading this, a post about Knightmare on a forum inspired by Knightmare, it's fair to assume that you are a Knightmare fan. Regardless (Treguardless?) of whether a Knightmare convention is something you want, you must have dreams for Knightmare, be they Series 3-8 repeats, official releases or a Series 9. If the convention doesn't get the required funding and doesn't happen, please know that the likelihood of any of those dreams ever coming true is very drastically reduced. Critical Life Force damage, if you like.

So please, blow the horn of Jericho at any psychological barriers you may have up and continue to support the convention campaign with as much time and money as you can reasonably devote - and please encourage others to do the same before it's too late. Knightmare will repay you.

You have indeed pledged, as befits a self-declared 'Knightmare fan, community stalwart and chat room patriot'. You are welcome to make additional pledges if finances allow. As for putting the word out, I haven't seen you plugging the convention on social media at all.

So the campaign raised the money needed (and more). Thank you again to those of you who lent your voices and your funds to it, although it's not exactly 'lent' in the case of the funds. And now the Knightmare Convention is - to use a word which many of us must have learnt from Treguard - imminent. Of the Surrounds stalwarts who will be there, some of us will be meeting up for the first time in a while, some of us will be meeting up for the first time in a very long while, and some of us will be meeting for the first time full stop. I hope this will all be as positive and exciting to experience as it is to type.

You don't need to post in the Absence thread on this occasion.
