Well, as Knightmare was a fantastic TV series, I thought I'd post a thread where we can discuss new TV programs, recommend the good ones, and advise on ones we think are dire The 2 new programs I've mainly been watching are Tower Prep, which is basically The Prisoner meets Buffy with some sci-fi thrown in Was showing on Cartoon Network, and really hope they commission a second series The second one I've been watching is the Walking Dead, based on the fantastic comic series, I have to admit, I was worried they wouldn't do it justice, but so, I've liked what I've seen. They've not followed the storyline of the book exactly, well, not that I remember, but it works. It's got tension, great acting, and some fantastic zombies Second series is due to start on 31st October, so looking forward to that

The second one I've been watching is the Walking Dead, based on the fantastic comic series, I have to admit, I was worried they wouldn't do it justice, but so, I've liked what I've seen. It's coming to Channel Five soon, so I may give it a try then. I read that Andrew Lincoln's in it, and a Brit playing an American in an American series is usually a good omen. New to me this year is Starhyke. An endearing British sci-fi comedy that sadly hasn't made it beyond Season One, nor onto TV - though both may still be possible. Here is one of the trailers. The DVD set is available for around £11.

Second series [of The Walking Dead] is due to start on 31st October, so looking forward to that Season Two is starting on Five next Monday, so you must have been watching it on a different channel (FX?). I never did watch any, but I hope S2 lived up to expectations (no pun intended). New to me this year is Starhyke. An endearing British sci-fi comedy that sadly hasn't made it beyond Season One, nor onto TV - though both may still be possible. Starhyke did in fact make it onto TV (Showtime) at the end of last year, and there is a new 4D ride, Starhyke: First Flight, due for international release later this year. Starhyke has about the same number of Facebook likes as Knightmare! Fortunately this is holding true, at least for Homeland, which I was 'currently watching' until Season One finished last weekend. Damian Lewis was in it, as was David Harewood, the first person ever to tweet me. I do recommend it (Homeland, not Twitter ), and by scheduling it on Sunday nights, Channel 4 changed my outlook on the weekend!

I watched Starhyke too!
Other stuff I've started watching lately is The Taste and Great British Bake-Off... and a lot of random Wrestling.

That's good to know. I went off it after seeing an online side to the creator that I didn't like. In fact, due to how he behaved, I went from being one of Starhyke's biggest and proudest fans to not wanting to be associated with its fan community at all. As a result, I don't recommend it to people anymore! Having said that, I would be pleased if it resumed in some form, though none of the official spin-off projects ever seems to materialise. Now that you've brought it up, I'm thinking of watching it again. (Some episodes are better than others.) I still have one or two Starhyke fanfic ideas. I rarely seem to watch new programmes. More often than not I go for new series of existing programmes or repeats of old series.
