Alright . . . If I remember correctly, I think it was YG who said that posting ads here is fine . . . I think . . . if my memory took a nose dive, then I apologize in advance, lol.
Not sure how big the roleplaying scene is on IMs and other systems . . . as I've noticed that forum rps are for the most part DEAD . . . . out of nowhere. I started rping via MSN with a friend a while ago, and we're still doing it now, and are ready to start looking for more people to rp with (gets boring with only two players, lol, right?)
I am sure that these ideas have been heard before, but, well, just figured I'd toss in my two copper just in case if they haven't . . .
So far there are three major ideas for the roleplays that we are willing to do, but currently we are doing option B, just its Council of Wyrms. If any of the following ideas appeal to you, or if you have any feedback/comments/suggestions/etc, or don't really care about what the rp is as long as its rp (lol), then either post or send me a PM, or an email. If anybody wants to know, my MSN address is the same as my email.
A)
A starwars rp set in the gap between KOTOR 2 and Episode 1. I have always wondered what happened in that time period, how long did it take for the reconstruction to occur (which was short lived, lol), and how - if at all - the games effected the story. Beat both games, love them, and would be thrilled to play an rp featuring them. Of course, the timelines could be different, but either way I want a KOTOR era SW rp . . .
B )
D&D RP . . . now although I would love to do a full on PbP, MSN does not have a dice roller. As for settings, I'm up for the following: Dragonlance (Reign of the Kingpriest), Dragonlance (The Cataclysm), Dragonlance (War of the Lance), Dragonlance (Blue Lady's War), Dragonlance (Chaos War), Lankhmar the City of "Adventure" (*cough* The City of Thieves *cough*), Ravenloft (Barovia), Darksun, Birthright, Council of Wyrms . . . yeah, so far that's about it, but Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk are alright too, but not on my favorite list, lol. And in case if anybody wonders why the hell Dragonlance is mentioned so many times - each time period in Dragonlance actually does alter the setting in dramatic ways . . . like in the Reign of the Kingpriest, magic is for the most part forbidden, the "Edict of Thought Control" has been pased, etc. . . . while the Cataclysm brings the world of Krynn to a post-nuclear wasteland type setting, where just finding food and shelter is a heroic task on its own. No matter the setting, I want a grunge game . . . not total grunge (lol), but close.
C) Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions . . . my favorite game of all time, and one of my favorite types of stories . . . There are many possible plot lines that can go on in the background of that setting, and we can even do a "what if" scenario, or use the Lion War as merely a backdrop for our own thing. Now . . . my only problem with it - period - is the limits on playable character types. I am a freak who loves playable monsters . . . anyway we can bring playable monsters into this? Oh, for the record, to me at least, there "is no Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced . . . they would not make a game so horrible, so kiddy, so etc. etc. . . . you have to be a dumb arse to even THINK about such bad idea for a game . . . Marche can not beat Ramza, no way in hell.", lol.
Now, as for some random information that I might want to mention:
We for the most part allow just about anything (as long as it isn't ungodly powerful) to be played. The only thing that isn't normally allowed are dragons . . . because they overall make life hell for the DM, lol, unless if in certain settings.
We are two D&D nerds, and use D&D references all the time. Fear not, if you do not know D&D, then you most likely won't get too lost - we'll explain things as best as we can. If you are a D&D nut, or an overall fantasy rp nut, then hey, you'll fit in just fine, XD.
We cuss, plain and simple. If you do not like excessive (at times) language, then . . . well . . . lol. Don't worry, not every other word is a cuss (maybe every 6th of my words . . . ). There may be . . . questionable content in our rps, and the rating is usually at a T or M rating, lol.
For more information, please PM me. I (try to) check this place at least once a day, so I should answer any PMs or posts soon.
