*The man saunders into the Wolf's Howl with his fine robes accompanied by two strange creatures who appear to be his guards. He's holding a strange weapon unlike anything the patrons of the Wolf's Howl have seen before. He approaches the counter to see the barman, Dal.*
Man: Excuse me old chap, do you happen to know where I could find the owner of this wonderful establishment. Mr. Dal Marx?
Dal: Aye that's me, what do yer want?
Man: Well sir, my name is Charles Redmun, you may have heard of me *Dal looks blank* No? oh well *Charles is clearly disappointed* Anyhow I was wondering how much you would be willing to sell this fine establishment for. Obviously if you would sell it to me I would keep you on as a bartender but I would very much like to aquire this property.
*Charles awaits Dal's reply*

*Charles laughs a little, but not as if he is mocking the offer but he seems amused by Dal*
Charles: Call me a fool sir but I'll be willing to offer you 2,750 if you can give your staff a raise and get them to make preperations to renovate the inn within the next week. Oh and one more condition *he grins and looks round at the patrons* Drinks all round!
*His last words are met with a round of cheering as everyone rushes to the bar*
Dal: *taken aback* Are you sure you've got the coin to pay for this Mr Redmun?
Charles: *chuckles* I assure you I can pay for it sir, I am ridiculously rich. If money grew on trees i'd have several acres of orchard. *Pointing to his bodyguard creatures* These two have it in 2 bags. I assure you Mr Marx this is the beginning of a wonderful development for your village of, what was it again?
*One of his bodyguards whispers something into his ear*
Charles: Ah yes, Wolfenden!
*Dal is preoccupied pouring drinks for the patrons but hastily accepts the two huge gold backs being placed on the counter by the bodyguards*

Charles: Capital old fellow *downing his drink* Now if you'd be so kind as to show me to the finest room, my friends here shall be taking up my luggage. Obviously as the new owner I shall be arranging the bill with myself eh! *To the patrons* Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight you have seen the begining of a wonderful enterprise and your beloved inn shall be improving a great deal over the coming weeks. May I see you all in here again soon!
*Charles and his bodyguards mount the stairs with Dal showing them his new room*

Post by Brother Strange on Jun 1, 2004 23:07:58 GMT
*There is a sudden sound of splintering wood, and a crash which briefly distracts the Wolf's Howl customers, even from free drinks.* *The cellar door has been shattered, and Brother Strange (placed there while bound in his magical chains, so the Inn could continue to function) strides out. The magic which bound him is nowhere to be seen.* *Some of the villagers recoil from the escaped monk. After all, "Ringmaster Rob" told them that Strange could be an evil shapeshifter in disguise, and now he seems to have shown it by shattering the door, a feat of stength which no ageing hermit could have performed. OThers, unaware of what had recently transpired, look around confused, or cal out to Strange, asking what is wrong.* *His face like thunder, Brother Strange ignores them all, and stalks to the exit. Most get out of his way, and the few who don't are pushed aside by a strength they cannot match.* *At the door, Brother Strange briefly pauses and turns. He meets the gaze of the barman, and holds it for a second.* *If he was not convinced before, that gaze makes the man certain that this was indeed the murdeeous shapechanger. The look in those eyes is that of a cold, inhuman thing, which is considering slaying him and everyone else in the building.* *Then Strange turns and walks off into the night. Talk among the patrons turns equally to their narrow escape from this shapechanger, and to the new ownership of the Inn. In a short while aided by free drinks, the jolly atmosphere returns.*

*Charles spends and enjoyable night in the best room of the Wolf's Howl and the next morning unpacks. He decides to have breakfast in the room as he has a few exotic items in his luggage that would make a delicious breakfast.* [ModNote: Charles is next seen here.]
