As soon as someone can tell me how to make people Gmods ( ), All moderators will become Gmods and will full power within the forum.

I appreciate the offer of promotion, but would you mind if I remained as I am, Mod-wise? I only ever set out to be a partial Mod, so that even if I'm really busy, I can still fit in my moderating duties. If I became a Global Mod, I'd be taking on a level of responsibility that was potentially too high for me to do justice to, and would end up being less help than before. I hope that makes sense.

I think I could manage global moderation during the holidays, but term time is another matter.

I think, with the current amount of activities on the board, both of you could cope just fine!

True, but the level of activity is subject to change without notice.

Out of curiosity, what are the 'day-today' duties for a Mod?
The action is obvious when a pack of vandals or such like invade the board but otherwise, the influence is ghostly. What actually goes on back-stage?

Issuing friendly rebukes or warnings, sorting out plot holes before they expand, that sort of thing.

It seems there's been some promoting going on! I feel like Peter Parker. This has made my day - thanks. Although I expressed reservations about getting a promotion earlier in this thread, I now feel that keeping to my current moderation areas, whilst using my newfound 'global' capabilities to troubleshoot across the forum, should prove manageable for me and work out OK. I hope so, anyway.

Just to let you all know that Tom Troughton's moderation powers and areas of responsibility are soon to be transferred to Leytan, who is the more active character these days. Same Mod, different account.

Just to let you all know that Tom Troughton's moderation powers and areas of responsibility are soon to be transferred to Leytan, who is the more active character these days. Same Mod, different account. This hasn't happened yet. It turned out that I didn't have the power to change the rank of other members. I'll send a PM to Kully, asking her to make the changes during her next visit to the forum.
