Is anyone interested in the film Battle Royale? I'm doing some thinking and want to know how many are familiar with it. If you aren't, I recommend seeing it, since it's a good one!

Scary but a damn good storyline - I wish I could think up something like that!

I hardly think someone like you needs to worry about being unable to think up good storylines!
I enjoyed BR. It reminded me of Lord Of The Flies and A Clockwork Orange - I'd be interested to know how much use the film's writer(s) made of those two novels/films - but is somehow distinct from both. It made a refreshing change from Hollywood cinema - I hope they don't try and remake it!

Some of you may have caught Battle Royale, when it was shown on Channel 4 last night.

BATTLE ROYALE ROCKS!!!! big time!. i think it has to be one of the most ingenious books/ films ever created! and as with everything, the book was WAY better. i came across a single paragraph near the start of the book that descibes in great detail, someone getting an axe imbedded in their head... truely gross stuff... strangely enough, i've just started reading the book again....
classy stuff, a pure gem.
what horrors should be made of.

One particular scene sticks in the mind (perhaps literally for some...)... The needless Massacre at the Lighthouse... I've seen some cat-fights in my time but THAT is something else! *shudders*
