(OOC: Carried on from "Renewing Old Acquaintances") *IF anyone had been standing around the Dunn Falls, they would have seen the air seem to solidify and several shapes appear within the solid air, they would also have seen a pale blue light emanating around these shapes as the shapes gradually came into focus and became solid* "Is this far enough out of town for everyone? It doesn't look like people come here often, so we should be safe enough from would-be heroes trying to return you all to the scaffold!" *Lady Mercury says with a laugh then turns to their location* "If everyone is agreed this is where we'll be spending the night, I'll put up protection spells, however, if we;re moving somewhere else, please let me know, so i don't expend unnecessary energy!" *This was said with a wry smile*

*Leytan looked around but only saw a blur of colours. He waited for his vision to settle down again so he could get a better idea of where they were.*
"Hmmm I think this Dunnfalls."
"It looks like we are pretty deep in so hopefully only the occasional woodcutter will stry this far in. I think your right Isabel good place to set up camp for the evening."
*He looked to the rest of the rag tag group.*
"Everyone ok??"

*Midnight on the other hand was suffering from slight travel sickness, her stomach churning some what and her naturally pale skin was slightly paler than normal though the normal pale skin tone quickly return as she remembers fully what legs are for and begins to move around. Her stomach settling a few moments afterwards.*
Well at least the spell is rapid though personally not one I wish to experience again any time soon. I still prefer one foot infront of the other...or others.
*She takes a few moments to look around the almost familiar place though it is the sound and almost heart beating sound of the water falls that let her know where she is.*
Really? I always tend to find it is rather busy here some how, perhaps it is just the times I go through here and my luck.
*She turns her gaze around the woodlands looking for her brother.*

*The cat steps out of the portal and lands with a certain grace. That is, once the bulk of the Tiger and the disorientation of travelling unexpectedly had been accounted for of course.* Hmmm... A little more sudden than I'm used to but it beats walking I s'pose. *Coriolis looked around himself for a moment to get his bearings. The all too familiar sound of the Dunnfalls telling him all He needs to know. His ears flattening sideways across the top of the Feline head.* Oh heck! Why in all the hells do we always end up back here when there's trouble? Got too many bad memories of these trees and THAT cave... *He padded over to the waters edge of the plunge pool and lapped a little. A moments thought and with an almost Human shrug of the shoulders He dives in with a [glow=blue,2,300]SPLAAAAAASH![/glow]* [Calling] May as well while We have the chance. A traveller I am but a muck laden tramp I most certainly am not! *The normally luxuriant coat now sodden as the Tiger appears to loose a third of his bulk merely through lack of fluff. He paddles around a little and tries to relax until the greater game is afoot once more...*

*Lady Mercury glanced over to Midnight, guessing the reason for her moment of nausea and smiled sympathetically*
"If it's any consolation, the more you teleport, the less uncomfortable it becomes for you"
*She looked over to where Coriolis was splashing around in the water and laughed gently*
"Well, he certainly seems to be enjoying himself! Though it does seem like this place doesn't hold the best memories for you!"
*As Lady Mercury is speaking, a pale green glow seems to surround the clearing, then spreads out to surround the pool and just beyond*
"OK, that's general protection and misdirection set up, give me a sec, and I'll put protection against scrying for us as well."
*The green glow fades, then slowly reappears in, this time turning into a dark green that seems to wisp around the group, then fades away*
"Right, that should be enough to stop most normal people from finding us, which should be alright, unless there's a powerful magic user looking, i can bulk them up to make them stronger if you feel that's necessary"

Post by Vyrrian Wren on Jan 10, 2008 15:21:33 GMT
Wren was the last to step through the portal, and instantly collapsed uncerimoniously onto the ground, dazed.
'Damn magic... never could get... my head around it,' he stammers, exhausted.
'Travelling miles in a second IS something of a kicker,' Leytan said sympathetically. 'Just be thankful most of you got through intact.'
'What do you mean MOST?' Wren looked up, suddenly panicked.
'Well, I could have sworn you used to have a nose...'
Wren's fingers flew to his face and scrabbled about in a frenzy. He stopped when he looked up and saw Leytan and Lady Mercury trying to stifle back their mirth.
'Ha. Funny. Yes. Do something useful and give me a hand up, ya lug...'

*Leytan could help but laugh at his freinds reaction.*
"Come on on yer feet Wren."
*He said and reached down and took one of Wren's hands and helped him to his feet. Once Wren was up right he relesed his grasp and flexed his fingers a bit.*
"Quite the grip you've got there Wren."

*Lady Mercury grinned mischievously at them*
"Well, I did say, hold on to your stomach! Most people have the same reaction when first teleporting, I've been teleporting since I was a child, it's part of the training that all children go through where I'm from, and it is a handy spell for getting out of trouble quickly! Or getting into quickly as well, if you misjudge your destination!" *Lady Mercury said with a laugh, then her voice took on a more serious note*
"Though teleporting is slightly easier than using seven league boots, at lot of people forgo it because of the side effects that they have, like losing a limb accidentally, though thankfully, that is extremely rare!"

*Leytan laughed slightly.*
"You and me both know about training from a young age as well don't we Wren...although for a diffrent type of skill rather then that of useing magic."
"Which you do with the best of them Isabel."
*he compliments his lover.*
"Although walking dose have its benifits when your not trying to keep one step ahead of a noose. Its quite plesent to take in all the sights and sounds that the open country side offers."

I think I would rather limit such traveling as much as possible, may take longer but walking does not leave any magical...*she pauses a moment looking for the right word.* impressions.
*She watches the spells the stranger casts easily and though slightly impressed makes no comment about such as she begins to approach the lake watching her brother a moment her eyes narrowing, her arms fold across her chest slightly.*
And do not think you have got away with being questioned and told off about your antiocs that I am sure got you involved in being the first ever flying cat.!

[Growls, a certain sarcasm in his voice]
Yes mawmeeeee!
*If his mind could speak out loud, they'd probably hear the mutterings 2 realms over...*
*He dived down under the water and disappeared with no more than a couple bubbles rising to the surface. It had been proven that there was some damn good fishing at the bottom of the plunge pool and Coriolis little trip to the pub had gained him no more than several bruises and a couple tankards. Food was still high on the agenda.*

*She looks around the edge of the lake for a few moments then bends over and picks up some smooth pebbles, then feeling cold and some what soothing in her hands before she throws them into the water. Very much aware that she is unlikely to hit her target or even if so highly unlikely would hit with any great force if any at all but the act of doing so eases some of her frustration to the trouble hunting cat but after the first few she simply begins to skim the stones across the lake watching how many times they bounce over the rippling water before finally sinking into the depths.*
*Her exasperated mutterings seemingly lost soundless at the surrounding sounds of nature but her lips moving hint at her talking.*
Over grown fur bag, can't find his way out of trouble if he was in a barrel with it. Going to be turned into a fur rug one of these days and probably hung up as a wall decoration.

"Might be an idea to bed down for the night and set off fro Winteria tomrrow at first light."
"Any objections??"

*The water erupts at the edge of the plunge pool as a white shape dumbelled by 2 darker shapes climbs out. A few seconds later, it becomes apparent that the White Tiger has a fat looking fish of unknown origin held in his mouth by the tail and another somehow attached by the teeth to HIS tail. Both fish about the size of a rugby ball each.*
*He lays the grabbed one down on the ground as it flops about maniacly. Then he turns around and with a sharp flick of the tail whacks the grabbed over the head with the grabbing. Stunning both fish in the process.*
No arguments here so long as somebody is willing to set a fire and somebody else willing to cook these 2 for us. I've gone and done the hard part...
*The tiger shakes out, spraying water all over the place before the Stone around his neck glows and the Human Coriolis stands in the clearing. His hair flattened and wet and his clothes more than a little damp as well. The Watcher walks toward the cave to make sure no-one else has set up residence since their last visit. He already has his little bit of territory pegged out. It's the same rocky corner every time...*

*Leytan has sat down and is leaning againts a rock. He looks at the fish and smiles slightly. He then un-hooks his crossbow from his belt.*
"My thanks for the effort Coriolis, but i'm affraid unlike most Atlantians fish is not a favirot of mine. In truth the stuff makes me feel quite ill. Save for the fish jucie used to make Green Ale."
*As he says this his eyes are scanning the trees.*
"So if its all the same with you......."
*He catches sight of something and in a flash his crossbow is aimed and there is a click of the fireing mecanisamsam and an arrow shoots into the folage of a tree on the oppisote side of the clearing. There is a short sharp screech and then the sound of leaves russaling and twigs breaking and a shape falls out of the tree and hits the ground.*
*Leytan gets up and gose over and collects it and brings it back over.*
"I'll catch my own food."
*He finishes, he is holding a Phesent, his bolt has hit it dead center of its neck, severing the juguler and spinal cored in one go, death had been all but instantainiase.*
"Anyone else care to share this with me??"
*He asks politely.*
