*Brother Strange is standing atop a hill after finishing a strange vigil he had held that night. All of a sudden a mage and a hobo magician appear smoothly on the ground next to him* [ModNote: They have come from Confrontation.] Tom: well your spell is certainly better than my 'borrowed' version i'll give you that Rob: *Straightening himself up* Well, I do what I can. Hello Brother!

*Tom dusting him self off notices something.*
"OH RATS MY RECORDERS GONE AGINE. It must have fallen out when we passed over Dunnfalls. Oh I'll go look for it latter."
*Turns to Brother Strange.*
"Arr.Greetings fellow wandera we meet agine. I trust you are keeping well Brother Strange."

*Rob chuckles at Tom's comments about his recorder and takes it out of his robe pocket.*
Rob: Would this be it? I saw it on the ground before we teleported. *Tom takes it back and thanks Rob* Anyway Brother, Brother?
*Brother Strange stands transfixed, as if unaware of the world around him, Rob and Tom attempt to get his attention by some means.*

*Rob dose as he is told. Tom Blows a shrill Note on his recorder, It is high pitched enoghe to breake glass.*
"Steady On Tom." Rob Says his hands only offer limeted protection from the sound.
*Tom Runs out of breath, But Brother Strange is un-moved.*
"Hmmm. Fasinating." is Tom's Responce.

(Eh? When precisely is all this happening? Tom appears to have been with RingmasterRob, teleported here directly.... Yet at some point he has teamed up with Ursula, whom he met yesterday, without apparently leaving her at any point, felt Tzigane and gone off to try and talk to and deal with her. Then, once more without seperating from Ursual, Tom is in the Dunn Forest at nightfall the next night!)
(How is Strange, who, if this is morning, will be distracted by and wanting to talk about Tzigane, supposed to do this without having some impact upon what you haven't done yet?) (Or. if you went with Ursula to sort out Tzigane etc. before you met Strange [remembering you only said you felt her pain when it was strongly broadcast last night on the anniversary of her death], then Strange will have already left the hill and done other things.)
(This sort of thing is why I make sure Strange is only in one storyline and one place at a time.)
(Oh, and just because I am off doing other things for the day doesn't mean that my character spends it all in some kind of inert trance where he makes no response to anything)

[OOC: Sorry about the confusion, I was unaware Tom's character was supposed to be with Ursula, he teleported to my character and we decided to find you, reading your post about Tzigane then I thought you would still be on the hill, the trance was perhaps that you were very deep in concentration. So is your character still on the hill or has he ventured off somewhere else?]

(OOC: My fault. I made a post in the thread "Ursula Appers." in which I state that the events of that Storyline are takeing place after Tom's Involvment with you and Brother Strange. I do apolagise for any confusion.) [ModNote: Despite my best efforts to impose a retrospective chronology on Tom's appearances whereby he is not in two places at once, it seems impossible. We'll just have to accept that Tom's time spent with Ursula elsewhere is simultaneous with his appearance here. That's magic for you! ~YG]

(Right, OK. So this is still the morning after Tzigane's anniversery of death?)
*While his body is standing upon the hill, Brother Strange's spirit is not. With the ceasing of the emotional storm caused by Tzigane's memories, Brother Strange's Spirit has headed down into the Wolfenden part of the spirit world. Before he reaches the alleyway itself, however, his spirit form is overtaken by a raven spirit.*
RAVEN SPIRIT: I have found the Mage who walks in peril.
BROTHER STRANGE (spirit form): Has he moved then, from where he was?
RAVEN SPIRIT: He meets you now in physical form - his spirit is present but yours is not.
BROTHER STRANGE (spirit form): * to himself* Oh Bugger. *to Raven spirit* Your task is done, and I release you from it. Fly the winds, my friend.
*Brother Strange's Spirit form turns back to face where his body is standing. In the spirit world, there is then no longer a spirit form of Brother Stange, so much as a streak of white energy which races back to the hill in seconds.*
*On the hill, Brother Strange seems to shudder. For a brief second, his grey eyes seem to glow white - or perhaps you just imagined it.*
*Ringmasterrob, Archmage that he is, and already being atuned to the spirit world in order to keep an eye on the spirit which was watching him, is aware of a spirit returning. It seems like the end of an astral projection spell, except there is no residue of magic of any kind. Just the spiritual energy of a soul returning.* *Ringmasterrob is also aware that the spirit which was watching him is no longer doing so.*
*Tom, being a mere magician who is not attuned to the spirit world at the moment, merely feels a faint buzz of what might be magic, but seems somewhat strange.*
*Brother Strange returns to reality. His face seems somewhat drawn and strained. His first words, said quietly as if to himself (but still just about audible), are:*
"So much pain... so much grief."
*Then he seems to come properly out of his trance and looks at Rob and Tom.*
"Gentlemen... to what do I owe the pleasure?" "I had information to impart to you, Ringmaster, but your presence with Tom makes it seem likely you were already told. The man who hired the assassins to kill you is dead, and before he died he repented of his deed, and his other sins, and should not be judged for them. The assassins also target an elf maiden called Kully, or at least they did. She was harmed, greatly, in body and mind, by a man called Edward Deal. Whether this man has any connection to the assassins or was simply a ruffian who happened to assault her, I do not know."
"I intended to visit the marketplace and attempt to garner more inofmration, but perhaps you can provide it. I collect information, of all kinds."

[OOC: The person who hired the assassins is dead? Scareye was the one who sent them the contract but he sent the contract to Skarkill firstly if that is who you think hired them.]
Rob: I know of the demise of Skarkill but he died saving Kully and it appears Kully has fled far away, or more importantly out of harms way. Ida is also safe, I sent her to a friend of mine somewhere the assassins would not be foolish enough to venture into. Now I say we find the villain Deal and get some information from him!

[OOC:Yep, Brother Strange heard Equaliser reporting to Skarkill as if the goblin master had hired the assasins, and Skarkill and Kully's argument seemed to also be based on Skarkill having hired the assassins. Plus of course, in the conversation in the Marketplace that Brother Strange didn't hear, Skarkill DID hire the assassins, agree a price etc.]
If you wish to do so, then you may. I am not a man of violence, and I feel violence will be needed to capture Deal and persuade him to admit to any information he has.
If you know where Kully is, could we not go to the authorities? Once Deal is imprisoned and facing punishment for his assault upon the maiden, it will be far easier to find out whether he has anything to do with the assassins. Unless of course you already have information linking Deal to the assasins.
From what I have discovered, it appears that Skarkill was killed in the marketplace in what appeared to be a dispute with a trader [OOC: Strange hasn't yet found out that Deal did it.]. I was hoping that by going there and questioning those who witnessed the killing, more information and more leads can be gained.

*Rob thinks about where Kully might be but turns up nothing good and gives a sigh*
Rob: I have no idea where Kully has gone and I cannot track her, however she is safe for the time being for I can sense she is alive. It was Edward Deal who killed Skarkill, Ida told me so. However the authorities are useless, Lady Morgan is the leader of the assassins guild and would find a way to influence her father, besides without Kully we have no proof of the assaul and who will believe two wanders and a mysterious mage, I have only ventured outside of the school in recent weeks and magic users are frowned upon slightly in this town. I agree that Deal's capture would mean violence and un-nessecary attention.
*Mulls things over and comes up with an idea.*
Rob: We could go to the marketplace in disguise, taking a leaf out of the assassin's book and question people about Deal and what has happened since I have been away.

[OOC: You know IC that Lady Morgan heads the assassin's guild? ]
Very well. I am sure investigation wil turn up something.
Can you disguise us with your arts?
[OOC Note. Should it come up in the disguising plan, Brother Strange will refuse to remove his hood - whixch he always wears, although he will swap it for another if allowed to change out of sight of Rob and Tom.]

[OOC: Rob worked out that Morgan heads the assassins guild when he met her and the 'arsonist/darkraven' who is her secretary.]
Rob: Right then I can conjure up some disguises, Brother is it alright if yours has no hood? [OOC: Rob wouldn't know this]
*Brother Strange shakes his head*
Rob: Very well then, we can all disguise as Monks, who would ever suspect a monk?
*Conjures up two monks monks robes and three belts to tie them with, the belt buckles bare the symbol of a local monastrie and Rob asks Brother Strange to swap his belt for the new belt.*

*During this conversation Tom has wanderd over to the side of the hill looking out over Wolfenden, and started playing a soft Haunting tune on his recorder. He finishes. Turns and notices Rob looking at him quizzacly.*
<In a serrious tone.>
"A ansestral tune of my race. We abndandond Vilionce long ago, This melody is a reminder of why, It tells of a battal in which many of our young men perished. I was playing it for luck, for there will surly be a fight if this plan misfires. Hopefuly it should ward of fates hand and prevent any such mishap."
<In his userwaly Happy-Go-Lucky Tone.>
"Right Are we already? This could be fun. I always fancied being a spy & disguiseing myself."

*Rob, Tom and Strange all put their costumes on and check each other.*
Rob: Looks like we're all set then, now remember don't talk too much, if anyone asks we are on an errant for S.T Francis' (The local monastry) to retrieve a package sent to the local church and we need to buy rations for the trip back, see if Deal is in the marketplace!*
