*Ann-Marie leads the stranger to one of the better rooms the inn has. She leads him up a flight of wooden stairs and to a room in the middle of five. Unlocking the door with a silver key she opens the door and enters the room..*
The room itself is medium sized, has a bed in the right hand far back corner next to the small window. The room was slightly musty, she opens the small window slightly, letting in the last of the evenings warmth but blew in a cool breeze that quickly whipped the smell away into the world.*
*A large rug covered the floor, it once a deep blue, grey and white and now aged to colours that were unknown. A chest of drawers on the left hand side of the room with flowers in a vase on top.*
Like I said the room is pretty plain. She pops her head out of the window breifly taking in a depth breath fresh of air. Her hair lifts in the slight breeze. She grins slightly aas she enjoys a blissful moment, just listening to the evening call of the birds and the quietening down of the towns day life. She turns round to face the stranger again, looking at him curiously for a moment or two.*
If you don't mind me asking whats your name?
*She nibbles her lip gently curious to know the reason to why this man has red eyes and what brings him here.*

Vyrrian smiled at the kindness of the woman. She clearly had taken an effort in welcoming him, and despite what she thought about the room, it had a very pleasant atmosphere about it. He had endured a lot worse back in the dorm rooms of the Assassin's Guild. This was a place he was more than happy to consider his 'home' for the next few months.
More importantly, his eyes took in every detail of the room, and was satisfied to note the window near the bed. He had made some enemies in some of his earlier towns, and often relied on a quick getaway when certain parties saw fit to pay him a 'visit'. A strategically placed window had saved his life many a time when death had come knocking.
For the first time in weeks, he felt safe.
'Of course. Your forgiveness, my lady. My name is Wren. Vyrrian Wren. I'm a traveler from Mordavia, on my way to find some employment.'
Which was true, in a sense.
'The room is perfect, my dear. I don't know your prices, but I think this should more than cover two weeks in advance.'
He placed his satchel at the side of the bed and from his tunic he withdrew the Brigand's purse and handed it to the woman.
'You can keep any change for yeself. I'm sure they don't pay you enough for what you have to endure here.'
He smiled warmly.

*She wraps the purse around her wrist and ties it securely she smiles warmly back at him then offers her hand.*
Nice to meet you Vyrrian, my names Ann-Marie or as you'll hear most of the customers call me wench.
*She frowns lightly and shrugs just a tad.*
You don't have to endure much, often fights..but more often to many men drink too much ale and pay for it a while later..Not they know as we clean up the mess.
If you wish any meals can be brought to your room but you have to inform us the night before or if dinner at breakfast time et cetera.
*She looks him deep in the eyes, quite unsure what she sees there but he seems more relaxed than he was in the bar. His eyes though startling seemed to suite him and her curosity rose.*
Sorry I'm terribly nosey but...were you born with those colured eyes or are they that colour due to something that has happened to you?

(Meanwhile) *Leytan looked around the room it was a basic room but then he never realy went in for frills and dressings as long as the object performed its function and this room would be more then adaquat.* *Like Wren he took a slight comfort in the fact the window was nere enough to his bed for a hasty withdrawl should the need arise. The Carpet was a dull pale Red have fadeded with age, the bed however was obviusly new as was the back wall.* "This room had to be partly rebuilt after a explosion of some sort or other." *Dal explained. Leytan noded.* "This room will do me just fine." "Great, If you wish any meals can be brought to your room but you have to inform us the night before or if dinner at breakfast time et cetera. Meals are served in the Dinning Room at the follwoning times. 7-9:00 AM 12:00-1:30PM 3:00-6:00PM "The Bar is open until 12:00 Midnight" *Dal explained Leytan took in the information and nodded afermativly. Dal then left and Leytan went to the draws and started to unpack.* (Continued in "Ghosts From The Past.")

He shook her hand gently, caressing her skin with his gloved fingers.
Light had began to diminish in the room, and shadows crept through the window and surged into the corners of the room. Night had come.
He caught her gaze, and suddenly she had asked about his eyes. He smiled wryly.
'Oh, them. Heh. Naa, they be natural, sure enough. It's comes from the spice from the Sandstone mountains. Very valuable, people season food with it. It's said to be quite healthy. But it's easily addictable. People exposed to large sums of it develop a blood red pigmentation in the eyes. Which, as you can imagine, isn't the most friendly of facial features.'
'Everyone has one vice, Ann... guess this is mine. I have a few small bags if you would like to try some. It's fantastic seasoning.'
He grinned.

*Ann-Marie smiled back but shook her head gently.*
Maybe some other time but for now I think I'll just stick to salt , pepper and herbs...though you could always suggest it to the cook he's always looking for new things to better the taste of his cooking. I'll ask him for you if you so wish?
*She slowly retrieves her hand from Wren and it gently falls back to her side. She quickly looks out the window and notes the darkness in the room.*
Dinner should be ready now, would you like some?

He nodded.

*Ann Maris smiles.*
Would you like dinner here or downstairs.. If you want I can bring the meal here for you, seen as you ask for such a easy meal?
*She starts towards the door and opens it, standing half in and half out she waits for a answer.*

'Thank you, that would be great. I've got a lot of unpacking to do.'
He beckoned towards his leather satchel, which had dried off nicely in the warmth of the room.

*Ann_Marie nodded her head and then closed the door and headed for the kitchen. Looking over the bannister she looked at the rush of people who started to come in for a hot meal and cool ale to fill their needs after a long day. Smiling to herself she quickly entered the kitchen and started to gather together the simple meal.*
*The cook was busy running around getting meals finished and took no heed of her. Nipping to the bar brifly to drop off the money Wren had paid her and makeing a note and scratching off the now occupied room. She caught Dal's eye she smiled and nodded her head to indicate nothing was wrong and went back to making the meal, waiting for the bread to warm.*

Now then...
Vyrrian turned his attention to the room. Hanging his cloak on the back of the door, he felt relaxed for the first time that day. It was time to get grounded, and ponder this situation he had been thrown into.
He lay back upon the bedsheets, savoring their softness, and began to think.
A prospective employer shouldn't be too difficult to find in a place like this. No doubt my little scuffle on the Wolfenden Path should have turned a few heads... but how to approach, that's the tricky thing. It's not something I can go out of my way to look for. The best thing to do is wait, and be approached.
One thing's for sure though - Leytan and I will be meeting up again. We're in the same business, for Mogdred's sake. And he's seen a lot more action than me here...
And what of the Opposition? I don't think they'll take to kindly to what I did. Lord Fear must have been watching. He'll either kill me... or hire me. Hmmm. Now that'll be a turn up. Not a bad idea actually.
Keep your friends close... and you enemies closer.

*After the bread was warmed, Ann-Marie filled the glass with some nice cool ale. The amber brown liquid falling into tthe glass like water over a fall..just a lot smoother. Ann-Marie grabbed some butter placing the bread on a plate then both drink and food on a tray she walked up stairs her foot steps surprisingly quiet. She smiled gently then balancing the tray carefully on one hand she knocked on Wren's bedroom door.*

A knock at the door derailed Vyrrian's train of thought. It sounded quite delicate, and he could smell the wafting scent of freshly warmed bread coming from the other side.
Sounded like dinner was ready.
'Come in, Ann.'

*Ann-Marie opened the door slowly...she had seen some things she would never forget and well neither would the people who caused her to see what she had seen in the past. She almost laughed aloud at the memories that she had quickly gained. Now a days she opened the door slowly to give people chance to finish what they were doing.*
Some bread and cold ale for you, I also brought up some butter if you wanted some.
*Ann-Marie walks over and places the try on the floor then pulls out a small table from under the bed. The table was just the idea height for eating on when you were sat on a floor.**
Well there you go...Is there anything else I can for you before I leave you in peace to eat your dinner?
*Ann-Marie smiled as she turned round to face Wren.* Her hair coming slightlylose and a couple of stray hairs fell across her face and tickled her cheek, the warmth of the kitchen had caused her cheeks to go a rosey colour.*

Vyrrian stared into Ann's eyes, and smiled affectionatly.
He was feeling quite relaxed now - the friendly ambience of the tavern had soothed the stresses of the incident on the Wolfenden Path, and now he was feeling quite cheerful. Also, the bread smelt delicious...
But there was something else.. Something about the way Ann behaved that seemed quite suggestive.
'Well... would you like to join me for a drink yourself? I've got a lovely brew here from Winteria, very rare around here. I'm sure your owed a a break about now... you work hard enough, be sure of that.'
