*Brother Strange surveys the horn*
Hmm.......
It is difficult to say, as with all such things. However I doubt that this horn will being you any aid. Hordriss, a second opinion, if you will?

*Deep down, FK is flattered that someone so close to the opposition is being trusted by what looks to be a dungeoneer. He considers mentioning this to Lord Fear, for a price...but then, his current allies are still good company, and are helping pay his rent, after all*

*Despite a dreadful headache, Hordriss managed to greet the young lady with his usual dignity, and to ignore Tom's pointed remark which in his current mood he did not find especially funny. Examining the horn, he sighs in appraisal.*
Yes... one would suspect that this instrument serves only nefarious purposes. Certainly it is not a warning horn, there is not that distinctive marking, and no walls of Jericho have been erected in this area for years... One does also agree that a man who insists on calling himself Honesty bears too close a resemblance to Mr Bartram, who was never the most trustworthy of characters.
*He turns to Julia with a kindly expression on his face, but his voice is serious*
One's advice to you, Miss Julie, is to keep a low profile. Without the Helmet of Justice to tie you to your reality you are just as vulnerable here as anyone... moreso as you are not used to this world. One wishes that one could gift you a spell to protect you in the event of harm, but sadly following one's recent... accident the concentration required by magic is difficult.
*He closes his eyes for a moment*
There... one has attempted to gift you SUCCOUR, which should whisk you out of harm's way, but do not wholly rely on it, one is not sure if it was transferred
[OOC: Rep call!]
Now, one suggests that you remain in good company, not every member of the old opposition forces is as oddly benevolent as our friend FrightKnight here...
*His words are friendly, but there is still a note of apprehension, quietly he speaks to Tom and Strange, as the other practitioners of the supernatural*
One hopes that the interdimensional barriers are not wholly breaking. First the incursion of Rob and the inhabitants of the Netherworlds... then these creatures Snowie and Ida... then this young lady... It may herald the start of a new quest phase... or something more...
*Aloud* Now, ladies and gentlemen... if you will excuse me, one shall retire to the sitting room upstairs and rest my head... once you have completed your public business, one will be eager to hear tales... and may offer one of my own...
[OOC: But not for a bit! Sorry, just when I need to be involved I can't post until Thursday! If you join Hordriss upstairs, feel free to say that he greets you warmly but a little vaguely, his head is only recovering slowly which will explain his silence!]

*Tom watches Hordriss depart and then his attention refocuses to the Horn.*
"If I were you Julia My Dear I would take that Horn to the nearest Well and drop it in. For no good can come from it I'll wagger."
"And just in case Hordriss's magic has failed. Which I very much dought. You can call me if you wish. My calling name is PAT but because I am only a magician and not a Mage it dosen't always work very well so I can't garuteey a result."
"But only call me if you are in real serrious danger and Pleses don't call me to help you against Ariadne I HATE SPIDERS."

*Listens to Hordriss and Tom's advice and thanks them both for spell and calling name* "Thanks! I feel a bit safer now with those...I'll definately be getting rid of that horn now! That Nesty man is one scheming little S.O.B...I'll need to keep an eye on him in case he wants to trick me again. I have another line of defence which might help me if the worst happens and I'm on my own...I'm skilled in one of the martial arts in my world. Well, I'd better get up to my room now because I'm getting tired - thank you for your help!" *Goes up to room*

Very well. It appears that the Ringmaster will not be joining us, so unless anyone else has business to discuss, I will accompany Hordriss and tell my story up there, away from prying eyes. Any of you here who wish to follow and listen may do so. *Brother Strange follows Hordriss upstairs* [OOC: Since other happenings keep disrupting the original purpose of this thread (namely that nice, quiet, plot-free chat that Kully wanted, plus me wanting to tell Brother Strange's back story, which I was also interupted during by the Visage thing), I will be starting a new thread called 'an undying tale'.] [OOC: Note that I am not complaining about recent events, merely stating why I am moving threads, what with the dimensiongirl thing, Visage etc. and Hordriss' appearance having drawn the entire Inn's attention to our table. If anyone wishes to carry on posting here about events in the public dining hall/bar of the Inn, then feel free.]

I can answer for myself. I would be happy to listen to Brother Strange's tale. As long as it doesn't last for too long, of course. I have matters to think about in the not too distant future.
Grimmy, are you coming too?

Grimmy... that's me, right? Yes, I'm keen to listen in. Having revealed more than I intended to Brother Strange about my own past and its pains, perhaps I can help him as he unburdens his.
*YG drains his ale, trying not to seem too desperately alcoholic, and follows the others.*
