*Some time later, there is a change in the texture of the air in the glade, a swirl of energy, a shift in the fabric of the world. When it settles, the great Hordriss de Confuseur, his face and clothes streaked with mud and grime, is lying in the clearing, breathing shallowly. For an hour he remains prone, until woken by the investigation of a small woodland creature. Shakily he tries to rise, raising his hands to his neck.*
*Although he can tell that his neck is undamaged, he can still feel the pain as the necklace severed his windpipe in the Battle Royale. He remembers dying, and a long sleep*
[OOC: Hordriss was taken out of time at the KMBR's conclusion, so it is for him as if it has just finished]
*Nevertheless, in the back of his mind, another emotion struggles to life: hope. His death was not real, then perhaps the others too survived. Certainly that would explain why their corpses disappeared....*
*He turns... and sees Skiprazor's grave*
The.... the warrior with his strange bioenergy... his name was Skiprazor....
*Hordriss stares dully at the stone, seeming to confirm his worst fears. How could he know that Skiprazor was killed in a quite different conflict?*
*Hordriss raises his head, as if trying to speak to the old one*
So, old one! Is this ones reward for being the last to fall? That one alone survives whilst ones allies... ones friends... remain dead? Have you snuffed out Miss Ursula's light... have you robbed the world of Troughton's laughter...
*He remembers that last act, that damnable demon child driving his stake into Young Grimwold's eye*
Have you made one kill for nothing?
*Grimly he rises... heading for the Dunfalls....*
One will not serve the twisted pleasures of a demon... not again.....
[OOC: Continued in 'Falls never differ?']
