*Leytan didn't have time to move this time. He brourt his sword up to block the blow. He did so but the force of the blow coupled with the strange power Skiprazor had relced koncked Leytan backwards . He littelry flew of his feet and landed in a heep, a few feet away he landed in the forde and dissaped inder the water.*
*Skip watched waiting for Leytan to re-emerge. But Nothing. Leytan did not emerge from the water.*

[*The rain has now escalated into a full-blown storm, pelting the ground with needling rain. Skiprazor squints through the onslaught towards the silt-heavy ford into which his opponent has disappeared. Seconds pass - ten, then fifteen. He checks himself and thinks about offering assistance; he has no wish for this particular piece of sport to end in lethality. Yet his instincts still scream silently, making the hairs on the nape of his neck tingle as surely as the ethereal chill in the atmosphere.*]
[*Caution and ruthlessness win out over sportsmanship and concern, and Skiprazor feels the all-too-familiar burning from the very core of his being. His entire body twitches involuntarily, though he maintains his grip on his weapons and his focus on the water's surface. A second later, twin bolts of blue electricity spiral from his eye sockets and explode into the ford, engulfing the water and its surrounding area with an all-consuming zone of death.*]
[*Another few seconds pass, and the cacophony of sparks and enery dissipates. Skiprazor squints through the rain to the waterline. The moss on the surrounding boulders has turned ashen black, and the bark of the trees is smoking despite the soaking rain. Apprehensively, he takes a few steps towards the ford, his knife poised behind him, the point of his sowrd levelled at the bubbling surface.*]

*The water fizzaled and there was a smell of death as a few dead fish floted on the surfess but still no Leytan.*
*Skip considered the possabilty that Leytan had perished. But as he was thinking this he sudernly realised the icey air was retreting from him. Just like in the Wolf's Howl.*
*He looked around but there was no sign of Leytan. But he saw something quite disturbing. The tree's and flowers seemed to be experiencing a very hard Frost. But as soon as in apperd the frost left. It seemed to be circeling the Glade, working it's way back to Skiprazor.*

[*Skiprazor watches apprehensively as the living ice travels from bark to stone to leaf, circling him like a wily foe. Was Leytan invisible? Had he shapeshifted in some way, melding through the materials of the forest? He can sense Ah Wok's dismay, and dare not betray any hint that he is also quite confused by this turn of events.*]
[*If Leytan is invisible, then he can still be struck. Quickly, Skiprazor draws back his boot and kicks a cloud of leaves, twigs and dirt towards the cold flash in front of him, hoping that teh debris will bounce off Leytan's form and reveal his location.*]

*The Debrie sailed into the Liveing Ice and was insatntly frozen like anything else that touched it. But it didn't apper to come into contact with a mass or body. Just at that momnet the ford that was still fizzing and frothing threw up a mist of water.*
*Skip saw for a breif few seconds the outline of Leytan in the misty haze of water. He was a few feet away and with in strikeing distance.*

[ModNote: Continued from A Resting Place.] *As the duel continues, a potential spectator moves through the periphery of the clearing, his own senses on red-alert at the unnatural conditions within.* *He 'fades' and pauses a moment to reflect on the unholy sparring which he beholds ahead, His memory drawn to an old bout fought in a faraway place...* [Thinking to himself] The use of magic in combat... a difficult but nonetheless graceful skill. Overuse can literaly spell the death of the attacker as often as their victim... Knowledge and wits are your greatest weapon, not these deadly 'parlour tricks'. They are simply an edge... That was how she beat me in that clearing... Magic...... A defeat I still need to avenge... *Intending to avoid the bout, he continues around the edge of the clearing. Little more than a faint outline moving silently through the undergrowth. More pressing matters are at hand...* [Heading to the "Wolfs Howl":- "The Big Day"]

[*Leytan's supernatural movements are unnerving in the extreme. What manner of abomination was he to be able to manipulate the atmosphere in this way? Skiprazor remembers the electricity still pulsing over his own form, and briefly laughs at his own hypocrisy.*]
[*The fleeting glimpse of his adversary in the water vapour startles him. For a split second, he freezes, a premonition of death chilling him to the marrow. With no time for anything else, he executes a no-hands cartwheel flip to his right, backing off from the spot where Leytan had been glimpsed. Though he keeps his dagger and sword out in front of him, attempting to deflect any incoming attacks, he is unable to retalitate himself.*]

*Leytan realised Skip had seen him and quickly moved possison again. He was agin in strikeing distance of him.*
*Leytan cricled Skip so as to make sure the temprature drop did not give him away. Then another idea formed in his mind. Leyatn backed off and moved towrds the Ford that was still throwing up water vapor.*
*The Sinsieter smile played across his lips all though no one could see it.*
*Sudernly in one quick movement he swiped a hand through a burst of water vappor. On contcxt with him the water froze soilid into an iceical.*
*Propeld by Leyatn's hand it flew like a spear striat for Skiprazor's right Arm.*

[*Flipping back to the upright position, Skiprazor's eyes widen at the dagger of ice whistling towards him. There is no time for evasion. He twists his body wildly in an attempt to get his exposed skin out of the icicle's trajectory, but he can not avoid this attack. It whips across his chest with such force that it parts the links of his chainmail, exploding into a thousand tiny flaws as it does so. The impact knocks him backwards, and as he stumbles his longsword flies from his hand, landing a good few metres away.*]
[*He leaps back to his feet in an instant, poised to absorb a follow-up attack, but feels the numbing chill of the ice on his chest. He glances down and palms the area where the icicle had hit. The unnatural cold has burned him superficially, and small bloody blisters are breaking out at the site of the wound, the heavy rain drawing small specks of claret away. It is no deep wound, but he is bleeding nonethless.*]
[*His heart sinking, he looks to Ah Wok, waiting for the verdict that may spell his defeat...*]

*Leytan was happy with that desicion he wanted a cler victory not a debatable one. *
" A few drops of blood from a handfull of burst blisters dose not constituet First Blood"
*He thought. He decided his advantage with this technique was lost. So he made him self visabal again.*
"I'm gratefull for that call Reffery."
*Leytan calls out for the first time Skip and Ah Wok realise Leytan can be seen again.*
"I said before the Duel comenced I had no diser to win because of a mere scratch."

[*Skiprazor does not respond, nor does he hesitate. He dashes into the center of the clearing, as the static flickering from his body makes the hair on Ah Wok's neck stand involuntarily to attention. Assuming a guard stance, Skiprazor slowly circles Leytan, his grip on his dagger reversed so the blade points out from his gloved fist. The snarl on his face is an imposing mix of pain from the wound and thirst for retribution.*]
[*His longsword is still about ten feet away, with Leytan standing between he and the weapon. Viciously he whips his blade round at Leytan's face, his free hand open, ready to attempt a counter should he need to.*]

*Leytan ducks the blade and rolls out of the way. Skip retrives his sword and turns to face Leytan as he dose so he hears a sickening thud and crack. Whe he turns to face leytan he see's the Atlantian sprawled on the ground holding his back. He is obviusly in ligitamat pain and not bluffing. But there are no rocks or tree's nere by Leytan could have hit his back on. *
Skip see's that Ah Wok has only just sat down again and has not observed how Leytan injuerd himself. Skip is un-nerved and is even more so when he sences they are being watched.*
