[ModNote: Continued from The Meeting Point.] It's now midday, and the village is well into its bustling daily ritual. Even outside the walls the sounds of street vendors, chattering citizens, livestock and horses can easily be heard. For many people, life has gone on just as normal. Pah. Normalacy's overrated thought Wren to himself, casually leaning his chin on his fist as he tries to stay awake. He always found the actual business of riding to be either completly tedious or frought with biting and gnashing peril, neither of which really suited him. At least when it was the former he could catch up on his kip... The sight of the village walls jerked him from his reveries. He sat up, shaking his head to clear the cobwebs from his mind and turned back to his passengers. 'Right then! I hope you'll appreciate it if this visit is a short one. Once news gets back of our little venture I have a feeling we're suddenly going to become rather popular in these parts.'

"Thats a polite way to put it Wren. We'll drop off our freinds here."
*gestures to Sindy and Jake*
"Make a qucik stop at the Wolfs Howl to get our stuff and then high tail it out of here to.........."
*has an idea.*
"Fancy a trip to south Wintieia Wren?? I know a safe house there were we can hold out till the heat dies off."

*Rhiannon almost laughs at Leytan's comment despite her frustration and disappointment in him still full flowing through her veins.*
Are they going to be safe at the Wolf Howl Inn? News spreads fast and they may become rather popular quickly and we may end up have giving them a worse fate than before.
*She smiles almost coldly as she turns her head looking around a moment trying to see if they have drawn any guards attentions.*
Us mortals tend to worry about things that.

*Leytans rolls his eyes. Then in a flat tone of voice says*
"Even if they do the gaurd can't arrest them Warlock has no jurisidiction outside of its own limits due to its nutrality in the scope of the greater game and anyway I think its safe to say that any bounty hunters will be more intrested in me, Wren and possibly you as the reward money for our captureis going to be a lot more substanchial."
"Now if thats alayed your fears Midnight I need to clean my corss bow the fireing action was sluggish before."
*without another word Leytan starts fiddling with his cross bow he opens a slot in the bottom of it a removes the bolts one at a time counting as he dose so.*
"1...2...3...4....5..."
*He dose this until he has counted out 11 bolts.*
"11 Bolts plus the one I fired before thats all 12 accounted for."
*Leytan then primes the fireing pin that lanches the bolts and then snaps it the mechanisam moves fast but Leytan isn't impressed and takes out a metle phile and starts working on the tip of the pin. After about a minate he stops and starts turning the crossbow around.*
*The mouth of the bow is now faceing his left arm. Sunderl the piin snaps shut again, but this time a bolt is seen to clearly fly out and strike Leytan dead in the arm. He cries out in shock and pain as it lacerates his mussle.*
"YEEEOWWW.....WHAT THE..........HOW IN THE NAME OF......."
*Leytan slumps forwad off the seat on to the floor of the cart to avoid the quizical looks of onlookers who have been alerted by his yell. He graps at his wound which strangely is bleeding far more profusely then would have been expected.*

"Winteria, eh? Can't say I've ever been... still, I could use a change of scenary. I just need to pick up-"
Wren turns sharply and stares, mouth open, unable to believe what has just happened. Then deciding it would be a good idea to do something, he lept into the back of the cart and pushed his arm away from the wound.
"Don't touch it! Don't move, the shot may be poisonous. Let me see it..."
Wren examines the tear in Leytan's clothing and attempts to ascertain the seriousness of the wound. Grabbing the hood of his disguise, he begins to knot it into a tourniquet.
"No major arteries hit, but that's bleeding a lot more than I'd like. Keep this pressed down onto it, it'll help with the worst of the bleeding, but that's going to need some urgent attention."
He grabbed the crossbow and started examining it. "How in the Hell did that happen? Was this thing even loaded a second ago?!"

*Rhiannon looks over in surprise at Leytan a moment when she hears the cry but does not move at first blinking surprised and unable to help herself she smiles faintly.*
Well looks like your mortal after all.
*She watches Wren's actions and glances over her shoulder to her brother a moment before climbing down from the back of the cart and moving around to the front after picking up a scrap of cloth to drape over her face in a shallow hood. Looking to Wren as he starts to examine the bow and climbs up in front of Leytan lifting her hands up to the cloth that is wrapped around his shoulder the blood already seeping through it and shakes her head.*
You know if YOU did not know better I would say the fates were trying to give you a hint.
*She loosens the cloth a little bit as she examines the wound closing her eyes a moment as she runs a finger over the cloth just over the wound before pulling her hand back as if bitten and shaking it slightly.*
I can not heal the wound.
*For the first time in the last few minutes she starts to look worried her upper, front teeth starting to worry her bottom lip as her brow furrows before tying the cloth tighter than before.*

"Try again Midnight."
*Leytan urges.*
"It can't.................."
*His voice trails off, his eyes mist over. Sudenrly a strange occurence happans The sounds of waves crashing on a shore, the songs of the legendrey sirens and the whales & the call of the sea birds can be heard aorund the cart but no one in the street seems to hear it.*
"Ebbira"
*Leytan says softly. he bows his head slightly and nods.*
"Your servent begs your forgivness."
*Leytan seems to be talking to what ever entity it is that is causing the strange noises.*
"I understand, I still do not think I am he, but I serve you faithfull and will do as you have requested oh great lady of all oceans."
*He looks at Midnight.*
"I appolagise for my arragonce and self-centerdness Midnight. I offended you and I offended My goddess. This is her punishment for me & now i seek both her forgivness and yours."
*Leytan's voice and eyes are sinceir when he says this it deffinatly coems from his hart.*

*Instinctively watching from a thatched roof above, Coriolis dropped down next to the group before returning to Human form for the first time in well over a day. A worrying thought, He was getting too used to being feline... With the advantage of no danger of being 'bitten' by whatever magic was with the crossbow bolt, He gently checked around Leytans arm where the bolt had pierced the skin. He was checking for tinges of unnatural colours.*
It's said that the gods roll the dice in strange ways sometimes but it'd be nice if they could WARN us when playing tricks like this...
*He looked to Rhiannon, not saying a word but his expression clearly "Why can't you?". A wound that His Sister couldn't heal generally meant there was something nastier than a sharpened stick of metal at work.*
Hey, Leytan [Taps Leytans cheek less than politely], get back in this realm for a minute and tell me something. This little toy of yours been tipped with something interesting? We gonna have to drag you somewhere?

*As Coriolis says this what ever strange entity it was that was in controle of Leytan's crossbow and was now communicating with him, decided to make it's presence known to the other members of the cart.*
*They to, like Leytan, began to hear the sounds of waves crashing and the faint but distictive Song of the Sireans.*
"It's not my doing Coriolis neither mortal poisons nor earthly weapons are behind this. The Lady of all The Great Oceans Ebbira moves with in this cart and she imposes her will here now."

*She tilts her head to the side slightly a moment before shaking her head causing the tumble of black hair to become a almost wild mane around her face her gaze coming to Coriolis with a simple shrug.*
I am not meant to heal this wound. Every time I try to something happens, the wound is protected from healing, will either have to heal on it's own or the fates that he has annoyed to o so as they seem to have actually caused this to happen.
*Her gaze comes back to Leytan a moment.*
His Goddess is trying to prove a point to him that I could not get across it seems and he seemed to have annoyed her by beginning to think he was more than he thought he is.

*Leytan all though bleeding profusley seems almost at peace, he tilts his head and lissens to something that is being said to him by the entiy. He looks at Midnight.*
"Her ladyship is most impressed by you, she says few have ever had the guts to stand up to her most troublesem of devoteys."
"She wishes for the wound to be healed by you but not by your magic. I have stryed from the path Ebbira would have me take and for that I must atone. But I have alos offended you and for that I need seek your forgiveness."
*Then amidst all the sounds of the waves and sirenes songs a voice is heard, it is quiet yet majestic and comanding and it sounds as if it is talking threw water. It adresses Midnight.*
"Rhiannon as Leytan wounded the freindship between you by his arragonce so I have wounded him. The bandages of appolagiey, forgiveness and reconciliation will heal were simply magic wont."

(Sorry about the delay in posting but was away from home for a night and was waiting for some questions to be answered before posting here.)
*Rhiannon for a moment was stilled, almost shocked into silence her gaze narrowing on Leytan a moment.*
Forgiveness can not be something that is forced as it should be given freely and when the person truly means it rather than because a goddess or god causes such a situation to arise and bring one of her people into danger and then says only apologizing, forgiveness and reconciliation can heal such wounds. With all respect your urm....highness? To do such even to prove a vital point seems drastic and rather as if I am forced into something I am not yet ready to do and thus it would not be true forgiveness and thus worthless and not really a reconciliation but a lie.

*Aware of their "wanted" status and the fact that a scene like this is starting to attract attention with Leytans shout of pain. Coriolis isn't for hanging around.*
Ok. I've heard enough.
*Quickly, He sticks a shoulder underneath Leytans unhurt arm and lifts him back to his feet.*
[To Wren and/or Rhiannon] You 2... Someone get the other arm and someone stop this damn fountain before it leaves a trail wherever we go.
[Aimed at Wren] He mentioned you had digs in the Wolfs Howl, aye? Lead us to them, we've got to move before the Watch turns up and things get more interesting.
*Not interested in pomp or ceremony, He starts to hustle the Atlantean onward. He's heading in the general Direction of the Howl...*

Wren was flabbergasted by what he had just seen. As a lifelong agnostic, he had no belief in anything of a supernatural or religious nature. And yet. he could not deny the evidence of his own eyes, and most pertinently, his ears. He had seen Leytan take a crippling injury, one completly disproportionate to its cause, and liewise he had watched it be healed.
It was..., impossible.
He was snapped out of his revilries by Coriolis's command. 'Right. Come on Chief, I didn't risk life and limb to watch you bleed to death in the middle of this square...'
He lifted Leytan up to standing height and, supporting him over his shoulder whilst trying to stem the tide of blood, began slowly walking towards the direction he remembered the Wolf's Howl.
