*Leytan couldn't help but smirk slightly at Isobel whispered in his ear. He knew this was just one of Isobel's coping mechanisms and how she was choosing to both deal with the stress of the situation and as a way to redirect her mental energy away from the more darker thoughts that were in her mind.*
"As interesting as those suggestions are Isobel, In this situation where our time may be counted in seconds... there not really that helpful."
*He teased back*
"Save them for later, we'll have all the time in the world then."
*He pushed himself up off of her lap and into a sitting position. He looked at her, smiled lovingly and kissed her softly and lovingly on the lips before he focused his mind back on the situation at hand with the calm ice-cool detachment of a well seasons professional.*
"It would seem we have little choice."
*He said his voice once more cold and neutral*
"We either sit here till someone finds us... which could take hours if not days... or we risk seeing if the freezing has stopped."
*He considered theses two scenarios and options and then made up his mind*
"Start to lower the barrier Isobel..."
*He said*
"But be ready to restore it in a heartbeat if the freezing proves to still be in effect..."

Leytan's playful response had brought a smile. It was a relief that he was able to tease back, even if it drove her a little crazy sometimes. Leytan's next, needed, suggestion was also fairly happily received. His kiss had been gentle and given her just enough hope that she could hold onto as she focused her power again, knowing that Leytan was right, and yet hating the risk she was now about to be forced into.
The shield lowered slowly, her eyes shut for a second even as the shield wavered.
"Well... I think we may okay... perhaps."
Isobel was half-talking to herself, although she risked a glance at Leytan, praying he too could feel the difference in the air.

*Leytan also held his breath as Isobel began to lower the shield.*
*As the shield lowered, the outside air began to seep into the here until now small 'bubble' that due to Isobel's magic had been protected from the wrath of Aesandra's ferocious freeze. When Leytan felt this 'new air' on his skin he could tell their was a difference, he could also seance due to his Winterian Heritage the fact that the powerful magic that had wrote the massive hail storm and freezing winds upon the lodge had dissipated.*
"Yes..."
*He said in response to Isobel.*
"Yes I think we may be okay...."

*Out in the snow, the sounds of scrabbling and digging made their way to sensitive ears that had been guided by sensitive eyes. The Tiger had got himself directly underneath the circling Hawk and carefully laid the side of his head against the snow. It was comforting to know that something besides himself and his step-sister was managing to survive even in this wasteland.*
*But WHAT was it? Buried survivors? Prey to be hunted? There was frustratingly no real way to tell. Perhaps there was a way to find out though...*
*Four paws became two feet and the sharpened Dirk flicked and scraped at the surface ice to make a small indentation in the surface. After that, the Quarterstaff was forcibly rammed into the snow and withdrawn. Hoping to either strike or at least reveal whatever may be lurking down there...*
*No luck at first, so another flick with the Dirk and ram with the staff, then another and another. Coriolis methodically spiralling out from his centre point in the hopes of finding something... anything... in the deep white.*

Post by Vyrrian Wren on Sept 19, 2016 21:24:38 GMT
"On this matter, Highness, we are of one mind." Wren had neither the patience nor the verbiosity to continue their wearisome game of one-upmanship. All he cared about right now, the single thought occupying his mind and driving him on, was to rest and recover in a place of warmth and safety, and then plot a hasty retreat from this most recent plot twist in the convoluted series of inexplicable events that was his life as of late.
Not willing to seem entirely vestigial to their most recent attempt at progress, Wren followed the Crown Princesses example and lent his assistance to what he hoped would finally lead them back on the path to civilization.

Daenary's smiled at his words as she observed him start to help their ascent back to the ground above or at least the upper layers of the snow. Slowly the pile of snow beneath their feet grew and became firmer beneath their feet. Slowly tunneling themselves out. Time seemed to stretch out as they worked on the snow. The world nothing but a white hell in which she did not feel a touch of the cold that surrounded them.
After a long time she thought she heard a noise from above, something being pushed deep into the snow, perhaps? She reached a hand out placing it briefly on Wren's arm indicating for him to pause as she pointed with her other hand upwards. " Do you hear......"
Her words suddenly froze in her throat as suddenly the snow above began to collapse just as she noticed the point of a stick appear. A soft gasp just escaping as the second snow fall descended upon them.

[OOC: I know I'm not involved in this thread, but can someone please explain to me the change in account for Daenary's Shar? Is this a new account controlled by the former roleplayer, or some sort of new Mod-controlled account?]
