Oblivion, create players Oblivion: Reference required. State names. *The girls say their names* Oblivion: Players created. Autumn. Shadow. *A life-sized Autumn appears, cracks its knuckles and sets a fighting stance. It is replaced by a life-sized Shadow which draws a sword, spins it twice and resheathes it. It, too, disappears*

...woah!
*Shadow watches this all in amazement. But then...*
Voice: Sorry, little angel, but a scary game like this isn't good for a little one like you.
Huh? What are y-?
*She doesn't have time to finish the question in her mind before the Voice does her work.*
Voice: Yes...game on!

[OOC: I remember the Voice mentioning Lufane "stripping to impress". Lufane is what most ladies would consides a "hunk" with the definition and size of his muscles/abs. Not over-sized but obviously powerful]
Oblivion: A monster may be summoned in blocks next to you Knight. Your Leadership stat determines how many are permitted. Speed determines how many blocks a character may move in one turn. Moving your Knight or summoning a creature ends your turn. Questions?

Voice: Yeah! How do we win this game?

Post by Lufane on Oct 31, 2012 19:42:03 GMT
Oblivion: The objective is to destroy all of your opponents monsters. As monsters may only spawn near your Knight it is advisable to protect yours and defeat others. Your Knight will be resummoned if he or she dies when your mana is greater than twenty. This action costs you twenty mana and one turn. Anything else?

*Robin counts out a handful of silver pieces... all he has left after, to his dismay, one of his small sacks - the one with all his gold in it - was ripped off somewhere in the Dungeon... and attempts to barter with Trusty.
He notices that the trader is getting edgy. He can't blame Trusty Seldam for that... something a little more fearsome is going on than a mere game, just a few metres away. Having had quite enough of magic for this lifetime, he is keen to at least be able to take a few steps back.*
Here... I have eleven silver pieces left. How many of your arrows can I get for that?
*He pauses.*
Oh, and some of them are bent, so can I buy those for a little less?
*The Woodsman curses himself for saying that. He doesn't really want to waste any more time, and haggling with Trusty isn't going to help.*

*Trusty frowns and glances at his left shoulder, as if a tiny horned Lord Fear has appeared there. "Silver?" Trusty imagines him saying. "Where did all the gold go? Take second rate currency and you'll be marked as a second rate salesman. Just who is in charge here? Pull the wool over his eyes if you're, heh, man enough. Better still, throw the whole sheep at him."*
Trusty: Erm...
*Then Trusty's eyes are drawn to his right shoulder, as if a miniature winged Treguard has appeared there. "This man," Trusty imagines him saying, "has survived being swallowed by mysterious lights and goodness knows what misfortunes since, and has returned triumphantly to do business with you. Honest business. Treat him with the respect that he deserves."
An imagined riposte is forthcoming. "Do be quiet, Treguard. I'd fireball you if I could shoot round corners."
Trusty's imagination slips its leash and he envisages another figure next to Treguard. "No, you shut up, Fear," cries the mini Majida. "Take a walk in the Corridor of Shoulder Blades. Ha!"
Not helping. Trusty shakes his shoulders, clears his throat and smiles at Robin.*
Trusty: As a returning customer, you are of course entitled to a discount that others would not be granted. Nine of my standard arrows for seven silver pieces.
*A moment of hesitation.*
Trusty: I must ask two silver pieces each for the bent arrows. They're for shooting round corners.

*Lufane hears the haggling and recognises a ripoff. Lufane, however doesnt want trouble and throws a bag to Robin which lands neatly on Trusty's stall* You there! Use ten of these and keep your silver. They should get you a quiver of arrows at least. *He turns back to the game at hand* Make your move, Varya.

Umm...yeah quick question: what are we actually supposed to summon?

Oblivion: A player may summon any living thing in memory... the more powerful the creature, the greater the mana cost. *Lufane smiles and nods*
