*intakes a sharp breath* This... material.... it is so different from the Farplane that i know... it... it is cold, and turns to water in my hand what is this entity...
*my feet hit a different surface and i look up*
Wolfenden... hmm... the goal is within sight... may the Silver Sanctuary reveal itself to all those that seek it
*i take a small piece of paper from the bag on my left leg which is written on in a strange script, but i understand the writings and smile*
Wolfenden is on the way and so i shall walk
*i turn right and continue along the path in the direction of Wolfenden... and beyond*

*Dawn is breaking. A man is walking along the path toward Lufane, carrying a torch. He is some distance away, looking down at his beard and seems not to have noticed the elf.*

*Lufane's ears prick up and he smells the air, a trick he learned from Hunters Academy back in High-Grove* Hm... curious.... who is this? I expected not to meet anyone until i made it to Rakra'iin Mortiit {the Elven reference to Wolfenden} *Lufane's stride lengthens and he closes the gap between himself an the man* Excuse me, sir, but you wouldn't have any food with you would you? I may sing or tell you stories as payment (Lufane was also a member of the Bard's College) if you wish...

*The man, Peter [OOC: who has continued on from his meeting with Autumn in Discovering a new place] stops and looks up at the stranger.* Peter: Good day! Food you say? *Peter rummages in his pocket and pulls out an apple. It has a bite mark in it. He smiles.* Peter: This is the best I can do.

"Thank you sir may I ask your name?" *The man obliges* "Well, Peter..." *Lufane proceeds to sing Peter the Song of Souls*May I ask one more thing of you? My research says I must find a person named Dura'iik... or Shadow in your tongue, do you know where I may find this individual?"

*Peter sits by the side of the path and listens to the elf's ballad. For a while, he quite forgets about his singed beard and his burned barn. He ponders the stranger's question.*
Peter: "Shadow In Your Tongue"? That's a strange name, and no mistake. Hmmm. Shadow Tongue... Shadow Voice! That's what they call him. The man who lurks in the shadows in Wolfenden, knows everyone's business and sucks on a stick of smoke. Is that who you seek?

I'll tell the truth old man, as you have helped me in my time of need *Lufane again takes the sheet of paper from his left bag and shows the strange symbols to Peter* This section *he points* says that "the one who lies in Shadows holds the key". In my tongue, Peter, capitals are only used to denote names, Shadow is capitalized in the writings but i will take any advice you may give me and tell you all you wish to know if it aids you.

*Peter tries not to look confused.*
Peter: The one I spoke of, if he is even real, calls himself Shadow Voice, they say. But the one you seek is called only Shadow?
[OOC: Shadow Voice was a character on this forum a few years ago, though it's not likely that Lufane would have heard of him.]

That is what I believe, however I am not entirely sure, I will take whatever advice you deem suitable to give me, Peter.

*Peter starts to stroke his beard in thought, but feels singed hairs and thinks better of it.*
Peter: I will confess, sir, I personally have met no person named Shadow. Is he someone you have met, or merely heard tell of? And what is your own name, sir?

I am Lufa'iin of Kynes-Graad, Peter. *Lufane's eyes (starting from the pupils out into the iris) slowly start to turn purple* Why do you ask? It matters not, my friend. The person I seek is mere legend among those of Kynes-Graad and indeed the FaraPlaan as a whole, but I beleive I may be able to find him. The person I seek, Dura'iik, he is meant to lead me to the Silver Sanctuary- a most glorious place made of the finest Mythril. I seek the man named Shadow for this purpose, and this purpose only, in the hope that he may help me find peace in spite of the expectations placed upon me... *In the same fashion as before, Lufane's eyes return to their regular, vibrant green* I shall take my leave if you have no advice to offer me... may Hara Maea and Hara Liss guide you through struggle... know that Lufa'iin of Kynes-Graad is in your debt, old man, I thank you and salute you and bid you Fare-Well. Thank you for your time, Peter, I will not forget your kindness. *Lufane turns and starts to walk away- slowly, though, in the anticipation of Peter calling him back*

*Peter is confused as he tries to take in what he has seen and heard.*
Peter: I asked your name because you had asked mine. Did I offend you, friend? I may know little of your Shadow but might still be able to advise you, for you're treading a path to unknown climes, are you not?

*Lufane lowers his head, clasps the bridge of his nose between his thumb and fore-finger and gives a short laugh. He turns to Peter and smiles.* I take no offense, Peter, it was a simple question. I was merely curious. I am, I agree, walking unknown paths in the chance of finding people and places that are meant to be pure legend. But, if- just if- the Silver Sanctuary does exist, I have hope. *Lufane looks down and sees a string-like material and he smiles* Before we talk further, my friend allow me to do two things. One; catch some food *He picks up the string-like item (which turns out simply to be string)* and two; ask you one further question. The look in your eyes when you face me has changed, Peter, you look fearful- if not confused- in my respect. Your eyes used to greet me with curiosity and friendship. What has changed, Peter, what has happened to change your view of me? *the latter section (IE "two;" onwards, is aid whilst using said string to complete a trap for any small animals taht may pass by*

Peter: Sir, I'm humbled by the arcane names you utter, by the quest you speak of. I am a mere farmer. I-
*Peter realises that Lufane has been setting a trap.*
Peter: Oh, you mustn't do that. The Greenwardens protect wild animals hereabouts and won't take kindly to a stranger poaching their charges. Once you reach Wolfenden you may eat as you please.

Shad'riin *Lufane curses under his breath. He pulls the string he is holding and the trap collapses. He smiles* It matters not. I shall leave now anyhow, by the sun it is midday and I wish to be in Rakra'iin Mortiit before sun-down. Thank you for your assistance. Please, take this as a thank-you gift. *Lufane produces a small, purple stone from the pouch on his right and smiles.* Thank you again Peter. *Lufane turns and runs before Peter has a chance to object and takes off to Wolfenden*
