Oh. Okay then, suit yourself.
*She picks it back up and puts it away.*
So Mr. Hero, any other ideas?

Not quite. *Robin walks right into the centre of the room. He was, originally, pleased to be somewhere with a certain degree of natural light - the dungeons didn't make for a very good habitat for a woodsman. But now, even in this wide, open, circular room, he feels more trapped than he did in the corridors and catacombs. Maybe because he doesn't have anywhere to go.* What I mean is... no. I don't... *His head starts spinning. The vastness of the room seems to be overwhelming now he thinks about it.* I don't have any ideas. *He sits down right in the centre of the room. His head is woozy, but even after placing hands over his head, he can practically hear the room rotating.* Wait a minute...*He opens his eyes, blinking rapidly to clear his head. The room is rotating. Very slowly, but with a steady rumble that appears to be increasing now apparent in his ears, the outer edge of the room... or is it the central platform he's on?... is turning around.* It's... *He glances at Shadow, his eyes travelling to follow her progress slowly across his line of vision. Helpless as for an idea of what to do next, he steps off the central platform, to see if there's any effect. There isn't. Things are still rotating steadily, with a noise like gears grinding.* You know, I've had enough of these things that keep happening apropos of nothing...[OOC: The round central platform that Robin walked into the centre of is apparent in the picture. I envisioned the vanishing staircase, through which Robin and Shadow entered the chamber, to be slightly further towards the viewer, slightly out of shot, and square - like an emergency exit.]

*When the room starts rotating, Shadow's head snaps up in alarm.*
W-what is that?!

I... I don't know! I've no idea! I'm... *Robin stops short of saying "I'm scared." It's not the sort of thing he'd admit. But the truth is: he is scared. The low grinding sound suggests machinery, but whatever it is must have required a kick-start from somewhere, and that means magic. Robin doesn't like magic. He's never attempted to wield a spell, and all his experiences with magic - a floating brick, travel through some spatial dimension, battle with multiplying shadow demons and being in an out-of-control boat, to name a few - have resulted in some form of pain for the poor hero. What's worse, neither of his weapons - and not even his fists either - have any particular strength against the weakest magic. Dodging and weaving are fine, but metal against magery? Not so.* Huh! *Without a clue what to do, he launches himself into the air and heads straight forwards. Landing on the outer edge of the room, which is rotating, he almost loses his balance, and totters around on one leg for a while, before regaining his composure.* Well... that didn't do much. *Robin is disappointed. He had hoped the central platform would have been somewhat like a switch, with weight turning the rotation on and lack of the same turning it off, but his return to the edge of the chamber hasn't made any difference. It's clear that there's more at work here...*

*As the room continues to spin, Shadow realises that she's been subconsiously edging herself towards Robin, probably from the anxiety of the situation at hand. As soon as she realises, she curses herself silently for trying to let fear take over her.*
Err...
Voice: Ugh, you're absolutely hopeless! Didn't your mother...oh wait, you don't have a mother, do you? No matter, didn't your common sense ever teach you the simplest of things?
Huh? What are you talking about?
Voice: Oh for the love of...look, I'll do it then!
*Before she realises what it means, the Voice takes over her.*
Voice: HALT!!!

[OOC: I just like to point out, the Voice sounds exactly like Shadow's voice, but it has a recognisable tone of menace in it.]
*The room slowly grinds to a halt...*
Voice: Ah! Much better!
*...and then it starts turning again in the opposite direction.*
Voice: Wha-?! Oh come on!
*Shadow quickly takes over again.*
Stop! How do you keep doing that?!
Voice: I live in your brain, it's not rocket science.
Rocket science? What's...oh, never mind.
Umm...halt?

*As the room grinds to a halt, Robin (who is braced to keep going in the opposite direction) almost falls over backwards.*
What was that? Some sort of signal failure causing a delay?
*He looks over at Shadow, who was the obvious cause of the sudden halt. She said the word, anyway.*
Did you know that was going to ha...? Aaaah!
*The room starts rotating in the opposite direction. This time, Robin finally does lose his footing. He falls, comically landing on his backside with a pleasing "slap".*

It didn't work? Maybe I didn't say it loud eno-
"Aaaah!"
*Robin's sudden cry makes Shadow quickly turn towards him. Although the scene may be comical to others, it makes Shadow suddenly panic.*
Robin!
*She tries to run towards him, but the rotating room almost makes her stumble.*
Aah!
*She quickly steadies herself and, again, starts ru-...*
Actually no. I'll just trip again.
*...and starts walking towards Robin. She extends her good hand to him.*
Come on, get up! Please!
*Shadow is aware that she's a little concerned about the situation; but Robin, or any normal person, would think that she's traumatized, as her face looks like she's just seen some sort of gory assassination. But she's completely oblivious that her face looks like this.*

*Robin isn't hurt. He's fallen backwards, but everything is still working. He may have a bruise, but given the area of such, he's not going to check in front of a teenage girl.*
Thank you.
*He takes Shadow's hand, and springs to his feet, wincing a little as he lands, the healing wound in his side still hurting along with the thudding pain in his backside. He feels a little sick.*
Let's get off this mad wheel... onto the central platform again, d'you think?

*She looks to the platform.*
Oh...well I suppose that'll be okay.

*Robin unsteadily totters over to the circular, central platform. His head stops spinning after a while. A nervous smile spreads over his lips.* Oh... that's much better. Hang on... *His mouth hangs open.* What's that? *Robin has had to remind himself before, at certain points, to look up. However, he doesn't always follow his own advice. But above, right at the top of the dome that forms this magnificent chamber, is a very small, red ring-pull. He can just make out some words etched below on it.* "Emergency Exit"?

"What's that?"
*Shadow looks up to the red ring-pull.*
Good question...I have no idea.
...
""Emergency Exit"?"
Really?! That's brilliant!
*And then she realises something.*
Can we even reach that?

I have no idea.
*Robin begins to empty his pockets, looking for something that might be able to help.*
If only we had the net and rope that Campdownladies had to catch the brick thing...
*He counts out his stuff, trying not to let the spinning of the room distract him.*
Let's see... no pouches left... clothes, boots, belt... sword: still in place, good; crossbow: still working, somehow; quiver... still there; arrows...?
*He checks his quiver.*
One arrow.
*Hoping against hope that it's a special arrow, he checks it over. Not a net arrow. Not a rope arrow. Not even a glue-bomb arrow. It's just one normal arrow with a sharp tip.*
One solitary arrow. Er, you don't, by chance, have any form of rope, do you?
*He also looks around, just in case anything he can tie to the arrow becomes apparent.*

Campdownladies? Robin must have an odd selection of friends.
Err...I don't have any rope, sorry.
*Shadow wonders what else she has.*
Well...I'm wearing a belt. That could work...I think.

*Robin reflects.* Okay, well, we'd need something a bit longer... aah... *He has just remembered his top is laced up until a point just above his breast. [OOC: This picture should show you that.] Careful not to tear any of his chest hairs out - he wasn't in the best of moods last time that happened - he unlaces it. The flaps fall down gently, but nothing is revealed, other than more chest hair than is considered decent in mixed company. He holds the lace in one hand, and it's of a decent length.* Let's tie these two together, shall we, and then give it a try? *He holds a hand out for Shadow's belt.*
