[OOC: Where is she running towards or to? She's on a really thin ledge, and Robin's voice is coming from below her. The only possible way is through the green tunnel and he's not in there. Here, have a diagram. It's here. This is how I imagined the set-up.]

*Just before Robin reaches the ledge, a yellow-white light flares up before him. Mixed with the green glow, it makes a strange mixture, which is projected onto the rough stones of the wall.*
Grellowhite. Nasty.
*With a final effort, Robin scales the wall a little further, heading for a thin ledge slightly above him that the grellowhite light is silhouetting. Noticing it's a couple of mere feet above him, Robin tenses his legs, kicks off the wall and catches hold of its edge. As quickly and impressively as possible, he hauls himself upwards.*
Let's s... aaaaah!
*The hero recoils suddenly, almost falling back off the thin, crusty ledge. He had expected to meet something if he continued, but what he hadn't expected was a teenage girl wearing the oddest assortment of armour... and yet here she is, right in front of him.*

*Shadow just stares in surprise at the man who was there before her. After taking in his looks, she realised who it was: a woodsman. She suddenly bursts out laughing.*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Was I really just worrying about a mere woodsman?! And a cowardly one by the looks of it? How pathetic of me! I must be of high power to have a grown man tremble beneath me.
*She doesn't even realise she's boasting childishly. None-the-less, she guesses that her eyes must be doing the scaring.*

Zhing!
*His sword is out of its scabbard in a trice. Having recovered, in a few seconds, from the shock of seeing such an incongruous living being seemingly appearing from out of nowhere, the little girl's threat instantly activates Robin's defensive mode. Defensive mode, that is, with sword.*
No. Not a mere woodsman.
*He holds it steady, trying not to appear threatening or weak. While struggling to attain this happy medium, his eyes travel up and down the girl, complete with slightly dented breastplate and impressive-looking weapon... although the cool metal hilt in his hands reassures Robin that he has, in his opinion, the better blade.*
My name's Robin. And I'm... I'm...
*He thinks.*
...a true hero. Now, you tell me who you are, and why you're caring to threaten me? I've just been through rooms of all kinds and climbed up a shaft for at least half an hour... there's grellowhite light everywhere... and no sign of any further escape... and I... I demand an explanation!

*Whilst Robin acts bravely, Shadow mearly glares at him.*
Hmph. You seem to be skilled with a sword. No matter.
*Shadow quickly draws her own sword.*
My name is of no importance to you, but since you asked, it's Shadow. It's been a while since I've had a good fight. Do you want to take me on?
*Shadow still hasn't realised that the two of them are standing on a small ledge. Fighting here could be dangerous.*

*Robin doesn't answer. He has just noticed something small ans furry hovering over Shadow's head. He doesn't move... he barely even breathes. Transfixed at the winged mammal, his face looks rigid with something between anger and terror...*

Speechless, eh? What a shame. I was hoping for a bit of a challenge, but nevermind.
*Shadow raises her sword, ready to attack Robin.*

*Robin's vision blurs. Here is a small, armed girl, named Shadow, preparing to attack him, and yet his greatest fear, that real shadow of black that many call a "bat", is wending its way through the air above the child's head. What does he do? What can he do?*
Quick, muscles, do something... anything!
*His thoughts will his muscles into action just in time. Kicking off the floor, his sword flashes randomly through the air. The flat catches the bat and one of its wings is damaged. With something between a tweet and a shriek, the bat falters in the air. With a shudder, Robin watches it glide downwards into the inky blackness below.*
Hah!
*He lands like a cat, balancing precariously on the very end of the ledge. But he had forgotten, for a moment, the girl. In a moment, her sword is dangerously near his throat. Robin raises one hand.*
Hang on... can we...? Can we just.... stop...?

Aww, do we have to?
*Robin's glare answers her question.*
Well, since you...um...'saved' me from that bat...
*She lowers her sword.*
Umm...aren't you going to fall if you stand on the edge for too long?

Possibly... er...
*Robin tests how close he is with his heel. There is no space behind him. Although he's confident a fall may not kill him... again... he doesn't fancy his chances at luck once more... and he doesn't want to do the climbing bit for another half-hour.*
Could you... you... just step back a bit, so I can get right off the edge? Er, please?

*Shadow merely shrugs and steps back.*
If only my eyes could glow. That would really make him soak his pants.

*Robin shuffles forward. The long drop behind him feels further away now.*
Thanks.
*There is a very pregnant pause.*
Now would you... would you mind telling me... where we are? And how you got here..?

Meh, I don't know. I'm not a local. Maybe we're near Goth prehaps?
Wait...what?!
*Shadow puts her hand near her mouth in confusion.*
What did I just say?
Umm...s-sorry, I'm not too sure where we are.
