[OOC: Continued from "The Product of an Alternate Reality", Path to Wolfenden section.] Ah,a marketplace. Just the place to find some information. Bodakis thought to himself as he walked. This place wasn't as big or active as Palanthas or Solace, but it was big enough to at least promise a rumor or two. Hell, Addis and Flaccus haven't perfected the art of disguise yet, so I am sure that people might just talk about two freaky lizards walking around town. Unless if Addis turned invisible . . . nah, it only lasts almost an hour, not long enough to do much. And Flaccus just looks wrong in a robe. To damn big. Bodakis walked slowly past stalls, making it a point to walk into the most crowded areas. He was farely confidant that nobody would try to steal any of his stuff, since that would mean going under both his armor, the robes, and the harness he wore under the leather armor. [OOC: Alright, I picture Bodakis spending some time in the Marketplace, trying to pick up rumors and what not (what Addis and Flaccus should be doing lol). What kind of rumors and various information would he manage to hear? (wanted lists, kidnappings, two overgrown lizards walking around . . . )

[OOC: Continued from "A Forgotten Part of Town", Wolfenden Village Section.] This town seemed small and quiet, like Solace or any of the other sleepy towns he had been to. Thus, it probably would not have a library or public forum . . . at least, that is what Addis thought as he, as Barom Grimms, walked down the streets. Ah, a Marketplace, that should be where I start gathering information. As he walked the streets, avoiding the crowds and probable pick-pockets, he noticed something strange . . . out of place. There was a robed figure - which was not too weird, and could mean many things - but this robed figure seemed oddly familiar. Irratingly so, as if he should know who this person was by the robes themselves. Addis' direction changed, and he followed this figure from the very edge of the crowd, trying to blend in. His eyes went to the figure every few seconds, his path changing so that he could follow.

Ha,it seems that some thug down on his luck is following me . . . poor fool. Seems rather well dressed for your average thug though . . . a crime lord, perhaps? Or just some scoundrel in nobleman's clothing. No matter, I'll have some fun. Bodakis thought as his eyes caught the changes that what appeared to be a human noble made. This was by far better then what he had planned - for now he could have fun by scaring this noble, and getting the information he needed at the same time. Bodakis walked so that he got a bit closer to the noble, and then suddenly turned left into an alley. He walked at a fast rate, making sure to leave the nobles' line of sight for a few seconds, then reappearing deeper in the alley. This game of cat and mouse went on for a little while, until he then ducked into a secluded corner and waited, pressing his body against a wall.

Addis eyes narrowed somewhat when the robed figure actually got closer to him, then turned suddenly. He was taken by surprise for a second, then made the same turn. His fingers twitched as he walked, as now he could tell he had been spotted. That is fine, he thought to himself, let him get the drop on me . . . we shall see if the skills of a street urchin are a match for an archmage.
Addis walked into the alley, going at a slow pace. He whispered the words to a spell, and made a single mirror image of himself walk exactly three feet in front of him at all times.

Bodakis' feral grin widened, as he heard the sound of slow footfalls coming down the alley. But then, there was something else . . . what was it? The grin fell from the Kapak's face as he realized that the other sound he heard was words to a spell. The grin returned within the second, as he looked forward to spoiling the plan of some self-righteous mage. Eventually, the noble came into view and was literally a foot from the crouched Kapak. But, there was something odd . . . the footfalls sounded like they were three feet away . . . an illusion spell! Bodakis mentally counted the distance . . . two feet . . . one foot . . . there he is . . . wait for it . . . now. When the noble was three feet away from Bodakis, the Kapak leapt off the wall onto the nobleman's back, a scimitar on the back of his neck.
"Good day for a walk, isn't it? Now, unless if you want to lose your head," Bodakis pressed on the blade a little bit for emphasis, "you're gonna tell me why you are following me."

Addis was getting somewhat worried . . . he had lost who ever he was following. He decided to walk down the alley, and if he did not see his query, turn around and leave. Before he got to far, he felt a sudden weight knock him forward, threatening to crush the air from his lungs. Luckily, he had a shield spell up, so he did not feel the full weight of his assailant . . . or he may have had a broken spine. Addis was not taken completely by surprise, and was already begining to whisper the words to a spell when he heard his attacker speak.
The words . . . nay, the way they were said and the tone of voice . . . seemed shockingly familiar. Addis finished the spell, and said the word "Repulsion." A wave of blue energy shot out from Addis' body, and slammed the attacker into a wall. Addis got up, brushed off his robes, and walked towards the figure. He took a sudden side step and grabbed the hood, and lifted it. The Aurak stopped in his tracks, and all he managed to do was say a name that he had locked into the back of his mind. "Bodakis?"

Bodakis' plan had gone well, and his victim was starting to speak. The words, however, caused his eyes to widen in alarm. He raised his scimitar, and was about to make an attack when a wave of energy sent him backwards, slamming him into a wall. The impact had disoriented him for a few seconds, which was enough for the noble to come in close to finish him off. Bodakis was in a panic now, and waited for one of his brothers to intervene. But then, the noble said his name. That was weird . . . more then weird . . . he was on a different world, how could anybody . . . wait, the face . . .
Bodakis Hellfire gave a hissing laugh as he looked at the face of Barom Grimms, a figure he knew all too well. "Why, hello there, Mr. Grimms. What brings you to such a dingy alleyway such as this?"

Addis stared at Bodakis for a while, his thoughts scattered like the wind. It did not make sense, he had watched Bodakis die, felled by a mass of elven arrows. But . . . this was no illusion, for if it had been, he would have surely seen through it. It was a Bozak Draconian, that much was sure . . .
"Bodakis Hellfire? How . . . how are you still alive? You can not be alive . . . I watched you die." Addis let go of the hood, and took a step backward, staring in disbelief.

Bodakis tilted his head, looking at Addis in confusion. "Whaddya mean? I didn't die . . . did you take a hit to the head or something? I always knew Flaccus would hurt someone with those wild swings of his. Hey, do you know where we are? We're pretty far from Qualinisti, I think. Are we even on the Continent of Ansalon anymore?"

"You did die, I watched you." Addis repeated. "You died in the attack on the slave caravan, headed towards Pax Tharkas. That was early in the war . . . what do you think happened?"

Bodakis gave Addis a skeptical look. "Erm . . . I was fighting elves alongside you, Flaccus, Gaskin, and Drovas nigh ten minutes ago, if not less. You had casted a spell that conjured up winds to cause arrows to go around you, and told me to hide behind you. I was on my way, when a White Robe grabbed me and casted a spell . . . then I find myself in the middle of a field, away from the forest, still holding my scimitars. I find this town, walk around a bit, and spot a noble who is following me. You know the rest. Why in the Abyss do you think I died from arrows?"

"I remember casting the spell . . . but there were no magi in that fight. As you were running, an arrow hit you in the shoulder, spinning you around and stopping you. While you were reeling from the impact, several more . . . killed you. You were among the large number of dead that day. The prisoners escaped, you along with numerous others lay dead, and the rest of us fled back to Solace." Addis finished speaking and shook his head, going over and envisioning both scenes in his mind. "It does not matter, at least not right now. What matters is that you live, brother. You, Flaccus, and I are alive."

Bodakis was about to agree with Addis, when he heard the last thing his brother had said. "Woah, hang on, what did you just say? What about Gaskin and Drovas? Are you telling me that they died aswell?"

"Drovas and Gaskin died in the war, near the end. Gaskin was leading a platoon of Draconians when they were rushed by a group of Knights of Solamnia, order of the Rose to be exact. That battle, like the war overall, was going well until The leader of this group, Jozan Dumarr, charged at Gaskin. I was elsewhere on the battle field, taking care of some mages, when I received word that Gaskin fell to the Knight's blade . . . " Addis stopped, then shook his head. "Turns out that this particular Knight was friends with a group of heroes who had brought word back of the true gods, and with them rallied the forces of light against us. I took the task to hunt down Jozan and interrogate him."

Bodakis looked at Addis in horror. "Hey, how long has it been since the war, anyway? You speak as if it was a long ways into the past. Did we win? I mean, how could we lose!? And also, did you ever catch the bastard who murdered our brother? Does our Queen have Jozan Dumarr's soul?"
