[ModNote: Continued from Bueno, Senor Lord Fear.] *On a calendar somewhere, or maybe more than one, it is the fifteenth day of the third month, otherwise known as the Ides of March. And with the arrival of an ominous date comes the arrival of an ominous creature. And as luck (maybe good luck, maybe bad) would have it, the venue for that creature's arrival is Marblehead. A red streak of lightning slices across Lord Fear's chamber, from air to floor. And as it makes contact several metres away from Lord Fear, a sleeping baby appears.* [OOC: Assuming you're willing to return after almost two months trapped in roleplaying limbo, I hope this will shake things up for you a bit, your Lordship. ] [ModNote: The March of Ides was last seen in Bounty Kidnap.]

Fear covered his eyes as the flash of lightning made contact with the floor. Once everything had seemingly returned to normal, he uncovered them and leaned forward to look at the sight of the baby in front of him.
"What the devil?"

[OOC: Welcome back, and thanks.]
*Due to the recent burst of chaos, several of Marblehead's alarms have been set off, including the Unusual Magic alarm, the Intruder Alert alarm and, as a bizarre result of the magical weirdness, Lissard's old Low Tuna Stocks alarm. The collective sound is not unlike that of a deranged barbershop quartet of giant mice being tickled with icicles, and is more than enough to wake the baby.
Stretching his arms and twitching his legs, the baby looks around. The alarms don't seem to be distressing him. He sees Lord Fear, and stares. Then a grin spreads across his face, and he giggles.*

[OOC: I brought back the March of Ides because I wanted to enable Lord Fear to post here again. But I think I overestimated his keenness. I feel sad about this whole situation, and repeatedly nagging LordF to post here would only make me feel worse. So, for the sake of other members who wish to get into the roleplay, I am going to try 'deploying' the March elsewhere, rather than having him wait indefinitely for LordF's next post. LordF, you have a great character here and you play him enjoyably, but it is entirely up to you whether or not you roleplay here. Please be assured that the Mods, members and I will welcome you with open arms if ever you decide to return.] *Suddenly, like the flicking of a snake's tongue, the red lightning strikes again, and the baby vanishes. Has the March of Ides been plunged back into non-existence so soon? Or might he simply be... on the move?*

((OOC: Sorry about my late post. Tis my own forgetfulness (and college related stuff.) that causes my inability to post here. I try to get here as I can and post where I can. Sorry about this. But I'm not leaving any time soon. I swear it.))
Lord Fear looked around noting there was a baby here one minute and then gone the next. It confused the Fear Lord as to what was going on and how it managed to get past all his defences.
He turned around and walked back to his throne. Once he was sitting in it, he closed his eyes and began sensing the entire fortress around him, trying to find this 'intruder' if 'it' was still on the premises.

*The intruder is not registering on Lord Fear's mental scans. Either it is too distant... or too magical, giving it a kind of natural 'cloaking device'. Yet all is not lost, thanks to an entirely different type of cloak...
The baby had been wrapped in a white sheet, and a tiny piece of it has somehow been left behind. [OOC: Of course, Lord Fear may have to open his eyes before he knows this!] With this item, and the right magic, it might be possible for Lord Fear to track the magical baby (if, indeed, it really was a baby) with his viewing equipment, or even to summon it back to Marblehead for proper investigation.
Just a few problems though: Lord Fear's viewscreen has yet to start working again; and those ever more irritating alarms are still going off...*

Lord Fear opened his eyes as the alarms were starting to annoy him. Of cause, he failed to track the little baby but it was not helped due to the loud ringing.
He stood up and raised his arms up, silencing the alarms. The only thing that could be heard was the soft sound of the wind. He looked down and spotted the item on the floor. Walking over to it and kneeling down, he picked it up and studied it. Trying his best to find what use this item had and where it had come from.

*The scrap of material twitches in Lord Fear's hand, like an earthworm on a garden path that cannot find its way back to the soil. This is an indication that the item holds a faint trace of magic, a link to the baby, that Lord Fear may be able to make use of.*

Fear continued staring at the device in his hand, watching as it moved like a worm on has palm. Feeling the magic flowing through his veins.
He wondered what power this device held.

*There have been tales of a person's possession being used to locate them, along with the right magic. It is rumoured that a sorcerer once used a scrap of Sir Lancelot's cloak to track the knight and Treguard on their quest for the Holy Grail [OOC: in the fourth Knightmare novel, The Sorcerer's Isle]. And that dungeoneer of the fifth phase that turned himself into a goblin: didn't Brother Mace tell the lad that a certain finding spell, if cast on Motley's stick, would summon the jester who could return him to human form? [OOC: Dungeoneer Christopher, Team 7 of Series 5]. These stories and more would give Lord Fear an indication of how he could make use of the magically charged piece of material. That is, if he has heard those stories and can remember them.
On the other hand, perhaps trying to fix the non-functional viewscreen is a more pressing concern for him...*

Raising his hand up at the view screen, Fear concentrated in trying to retune it into to the correct communications network. It was important that he got it to the correct network because if it was slightly off, then anyone could track him and spy on his plans.
This process took a number of minutes until he was satisfied that he had returned to the correct channel. Happy with the results, he turned his full attentions to the object he held. Feeling the magical tales that it held running through his mind.

[OOC: That was the forum's 9000th post. Congratulations!]
*With his viewscreen now working again, Lord Fear is back in business. That is, if there is any business. Will that Salamanda chap get back in touch, and even if he does, would a bric-a-brac seller with a ludicrous accent be worth Lord Fear's precious time? And what about Hands - where in the Underworld has that one-man dung beetle fan club got to? Is it worth trying to contact him? In short, with the exception of that teleporting tot, is there anybody out there?*

"Now let me see, who should I contact?" muttered Fear himself as he patted his fingers together before saying loudly and commandingly, "If there's anyone intelligent and worth my time out there, then speak now."
OOC: Communications open to anyone that fancies taking it.

*The Knightmare realm seems awfully quiet. If Lord Fear wishes to be contacted by any of the various lackeys, wannabes and spyglass holders out there, he may be in for a long wait. They say that patience is a virtue, but Lord Fear didn't get where he is today by being virtuous, did he?
So, it may be time to consider taking action. Action, in the form of a trip into Wolfenden. It's been a while since Lord Fear donned a disguise and mingled with his inferiors, and it might be fun to do so again. He could slip into the Crazed Heifer and catch the latest gossip; he could browse the marketplace in search of Salamanda; or he could quietly fireball some wild pigs and then frame the village idiot. He might even be able to find out the recipe for a top-notch finding spell and procure its ingredients, allowing him to use his scrap of material to locate that bizarre baby.
Lord Fear's Day Out? It's an idea that might be worth considering...*

Fear thought for a few minutes before closing the line causing the view screen to return to the Marblehead landscape. He got up from his throne and walked to the centre of the room. He summoned a monk's outfit from out of nowhere which appeared on him, pulling the hood upon his head so that no one could see his face.
He then waited as the main lift descended as he planed what to do.
