Post by Gravefang and The Fire Lilly on May 31, 2009 19:36:41 GMT
The Fire Lilly slipped out of GraveFang's hold and climbed up to his large broad shoulder, sitting down she began to sing, her voice spoke no words but held a tone and her meaning well. The melody seemed to escape the mind no matter how hard they tried. The sweet sound rang through the air and felt like the strongest of alcohol were washing through their bodies. The weak willed began to feel a un-natural sadness creep through them. (OOC: the song is not mind effecting the music is saddening (to make it short its about the near extinction of her people in a bloody war) and as I said only the weak willed are effected by this part of it, the notes are enchanted so that only those who need to know the story retain the information, the warmth racing through them is because her words are mixed with her own elemental magic of fire which is currently only effects those who can hear it for the duration that they hear it, in other words covering your ears cancels it out. (response to midnight's mod post)
The sweet noise was accompanied by the loud thundering footsteps of her brother, each of his steps slightly shook the earth and he continued to growl, at the thought of allowing a Plains Walker draw breath after insulting him.

((OOC: Mod Note: If I am stepping on toes and this mind effecting song voice has been approved by YG then I will apologize and delete this post but as a Mod I do feel that your powers are a bit too powerful and you may want to tone them down some what with the song and give people the option to be affected or not.))

*Midnight shook her head slightly now trying to move back away from the hand.*
I can..heal my lip...in time....there is pain in my right arm.....and feel like my insides are turning to ice.....no idea what...is causing it.....
*She focuses hard on one of the duplicated travelers trying to gauge whether she is the real one. The sight more starting to scare her now as she feels un able to rely on her own sight at the moment, as she feels what is a small slash sensation along the inside of her wrist, as if a blade or arrow has just be drawn harshly over her pale skin. She looks down and see's that her skin is indeed cut but no blood seems to be flowing out, the icy sensation starts to seep into her right arm, away slightly from her head but a pain filled scream echoes across the lands once more as she throws her head back in terror.*
*A blue tinge starts to appear around the cut's opening as she feels another stabbing sensation though this time it seems to be within her arm and trying to get out.*

[ModNote: I didn't see Gravefang and The Fire Lilly's post before its recent edit, but I hadn't been consulted on the ability hinted at in Midnight's ModNote. In fact, GF & TFL were brought into action before their character profiles had been given Mod approval or feedback, which is an issue that needs to be addressed at some point, though not here and now. Midnight, as you and fellow Mod Leytan are so closely involved in this plot/thread, I am happy for you to agree a verdict on any problems that occur here, and then message me afterwards.]

((OOC: First of all you have the effect of the strongest alcohol effecting people (seemingly no matter what be them strong willed/weak willed etc) which to me is effecting the mind/body etc thus a mind effecting spell be it just because of her singing or not and also stating they have a un natural sadness creeping into them because of just her singing also suggest they are not feeling it because the song is sad but because that is how the character is wanting them to feel.. I may be reading it wrong and if so I again apologize perhaps just rephrase the post so it is more clear that it the the feelings in the voice/the melody etc that could cause such feelings should those characters wish it rather than being weak willed even the strongest willed can get sad over a sad song ))

Post by Gravefang and The Fire Lilly on Jun 2, 2009 0:05:21 GMT
(OOC: (1)The melody seemed to escape the mind no matter how hard they tried. (this is an absolute yes, the song itself is magical and is the history of her people their triumphs and downfalls, the tune was enchanted by ten elven lords and ladies)
(2)The sweet sound rang through the air and felt like the strongest of alcohol were washing through their bodies (this does not refer to the effects of alcohol, but the burning sensation on its consumption)
(3)The weak willed began to feel a un-natural sadness creep through them. (this is aimed simple at the fact that they have no idea why there sad. Noting back to the (1) for reason why they don‘t understand why there sad,)
(I hope this clears up my post, I’ll try to be more specific in the future) )

'Gnnnngh...'
With agonising slowness, Wren raised his head in a brave attempt to rouse himself from his stupor. He tried to push himself up, but collapsed back to the ground again with a solitary spark from his now completly unsupportive limb.
'Aaaah... are we saved at last? Forgive me if I don't stand, nothing personal...'
Wren broke into a weak smile.

* A few of the hunters walked over to Wren, one starts to attempt to bind his wrists together behind his back. The red haired woman approaches seemingly to be the one in charge as she bends over , leaning over him a moment.*
Whether you are saved at last or not is yet to be seen strange traveler. Hope that your companion's story bring truth rather than bitter lies for if that should be the case I dare say everyone shall be having a drink from that fatal wine.
*She stands back up and starts to walk back towards Daenary's Shar again.*

'"Follow me to Winteria", you said. "Lay low for a while", you said' Wren hissed to Leytan. 'Forgive me if thus far I am unimpressed by the welcome accorded to us.'
Wren tried to flex his fingers, but found them stiff and unresponsive. He needed an hour or two of uninterrupted concentration to bring it back to anything resembling a functional appendage. Until then, he needed to stem the loss of the magic that powered it.
'All right, all right,' he muttered to the huntsmen. 'Just do me a favour before we go through all this. I need a vial from my satchel for my hand. Can you at least let me get it?'

*Leytan looked at Wren and shrugged. Then up ahead in the distance he caught sight of a horse approching. He smiled slightly.*
"Things may perk up in a few more minuets."
*he mouthed to Wren and nodded his head towards the approching horse rider.....or to be percises the female Horse rider.*

Post by Lady Mercury on Jun 15, 2009 23:03:00 GMT
*Lady Mercury slipped one arm around Midnight's shoulder, and murmured something under her breath, as she finished her sentence, Midnight felt a warmth that seemed to be trying to reach inside of her, and dispel the cold she was feeling. As Lady Mercury finished that spell, she reached inside her cloak and pulled out a small amulet.*
"This amulet is supposed to protect it's wearer from unseen magics, which is one of the things that i can think of causing this, here, you need it more than i do at the moment!"
*As she finished speaking, the amulet seemed to change shape, and became a small emblem on a silver chain, which Lady Mercury slipped over Midnight's head.*
"This should help, until i can get you somewhere where the welcome committee isn't armed to the teeth, and carry out proper healing spells!"
(OOC: Tis up to you whether Lady M's attempts work! ;D

Post by Gravefang and The Fire Lilly on Jun 16, 2009 6:49:42 GMT
The Fire Lilly bored leapt off of her perch and on the ground, at seeing a clearing ahead. Which to her surprise sounded of people. She began to move gracefully towards the clearing unaware of hunters still lingering in the treetops and bushes.
Gravefang grumbled before he continued forward his heavy feet compacting the aged snow into ice and creating small craters in the wet cold earth. His heavy set voice growls loud enough for the Fire Lilly to hear and only those with the strongest of hearing. "don't run ahead, These blasted trees are in my way" the Elf-Ogre's shoulders constantly ran against trees rubbing bark raw and occasionally getting stuck, which caused him to break out in loud strings of cursing, which at one point he drew Death's Hand and with one fell swoop of the legendary sword, the tree fell with a loud smash receiving a small ounce of revenge as it landed upon Gravefangs toes which lead only to a large ten minute long string of curses in elven, orkish common, orkish tribal, human, goblin, troll, trade speak, and ogre.
(OOC: There still quite some distance away)

Post by Coriolis on Jun 16, 2009 22:35:05 GMT
*A very short distance behind the horse and rider followed a pecuiliarly feline "void" in the kicked up snow. Charging along the road using the spray to mask his presence as much as possible.*
*He could see where they were headed and it seemed like a golden opportunity to stop this little get together before it got completely out of hand. It seemed appropriate that this horseback falconer would be the leader. Of all the souls moving around amongst these trees, She was the only one not up to her neck in blood, sweat or excrement.*
*Well... She was going to be up to her pretty little neck in Tiger before too long. That'll give her merry band something to think about. With a little luck, even the tourists might take the hint and get their tails away from here. Not to mention any other intruders that may have been lurking about.*
*Coriolis stayed tucked into the Horses slipstream and awaited his moment to pounce and let physics take over...*

Post by Daenary's Shar on Jun 18, 2009 18:04:48 GMT
*Daenary's Shar watched the pair disappear into the snows and then brought her horse again along, trying to decide whether the day was a loss and this hunt should be called of. This day was strange and was growing to be stranger all the time and her desire to quench some frustration within had now ceased to be, she spotted Aaron returning to her side as she paused at a hill not very steep and watched him climb it, slowly she dismounted from her horse focusing on Aaron smiling briefly.*

*Midnight felt the ease of the magic soothe through the ice in her chest slightly though the ice sensation continued to drip into her right arm, it filling with pins and needles, the blue tinge along the inner wrist around the cut become more obvious though the cut remains a small slit, she tries to grasp the female travelers shoulder with her left hand , slowly she tries to pull herself to her feet while the woman at the same time as she slipped the emblem on to herr head.*
*For a moment she remained still waiting for something to happen as the icy chest eased, then with a growling cry, she grasped the womans shoulder tighter suddenly digging her nails in roughly vaguely aware of approaching strangers but there seemed to be many multiples of them and she briefly wondered if some one had been letting loose a cloning spell or whether she had finally lost the plot of her life and was going crazy.*
* When a almost ripping pain sliced through the slit in her wrist a shard of ice seeming to protrude from her skin , the ice was tainted slightly with pink and seemed to slither as if having a life of it's own as Rhiannon's growling turned into a full blown howl of pain, human and feline characteristics crossing and blurring a moment, perhaps the woman would notice the changes to her eyes as they briefly turned from human irises to feline slits, her nails briefly seeming to change a moment as she screamed in what seemed and hopefully would be the peak of the pain.*
*The slither of ice grew to be about half a foot long and was as flexible as rope the tip seemingly sharp, as she watched it a moment briefly wondering if she had been magically attacked by Hakonatu some how the icy shard seemed to explode into a showery rain. leaving splashes of water over her face, arm and the snow to quickly freeze once more.*
*She instantly let go of the woman falling to her knees again and rather unceremoniously brought up what ever was left in her stomach then collapsing into the ground side ways only just avoiding the vomit, conscious still though barely.*
