*Meanwhile the tenshion was mounting and it was starting to get to Leytan.*
"Come on make your play."
*he mutterd to himself as he continued to scan the tree line.*
"We know your there so make your move and lets get this over with."
*he continued, his head turned slightly and he gazed at Lady Mercury. Seeing that she too was preocupied with trying to spot the danger Leytan seruptishusly un-hooked a small tin flask that was attached to his belt.*
*He then turned his back slightly so that Lady Mercury couldn't see and he took a swing from the flask.*
*Imediatly he felt the slight burning sensation as the liquid touched the his thoug and went down his throat. Even in the more diluted form he now took the blasted stuff still had that strong after taste.*
*He flet a slight stomach cramp and he just manged to stop himself from leaning over to lessen it. The cramp faded, Leytan felt the draft begining to take effect he became more relaxed and alert....and yet their was a dullness now in his vision he could see clear enough but to him the landscaped now lost some of its colour.*
*He was use to this though by now....however it did seem the dullness got more acute everytime he took the draft. he dismissied this thought chain, it was a meer side effect nothing more and it wore of quickly once the draft lost its sting....after all he wasn't takening the stuff regualy anymore and it was now a much less potent concoxion then what he used to use.*
*Leytan replaced the flask and returned to scaning the treeline.*
"Come on......the balls in your court...who ever you are."
*he said.*

[Thinking, The inner voice almost sing-song]
That's it... Just stay right there and let the cute pussy cat sidle up for a bite to eat... All relaxed... No danger here, All back down the path with the tourists. Nothing to see here. Nope. Nothing at all...*
*It had taken time, but He couldn't have been more than 20' away now. Practically "playing dead" in the deep snow. His muzzle buried a little along with the rest of him to try and mask his vapour breath in the cold air.*
*So long as the Lady Falconer didn't spook or run, He had Her. One pounce and He would be onto the horses back and clamped onto Her throat.*
*Over the years, many had wanted Coriolis teeth for a necklace. This lassie might end up being the first, though not in the way She'd ever intended...*

*The woman's attention remained focused on the hawk, stroking over the bird of prey's chest lightly and almost tenderly. Even as she felt the bird tighten her claws around her finger she remained focused on giving her all her attention, unaware of the situation further ahead with her brother or the strangers.*
*She turned slightly , almost barely moving on her horse for a few seconds then reached down and started to grasp the reins of the horse once more.*

Gravefang tireing of all the slight motions his eyes saw not able to full make out what was happening, his ears tired of hearing whisps of sound. released a blood curling roar to scare away what he beleived was no more then simple wild-life. As The Fire Lilly tried to calm her much larger, and angry brother.

(OOC: As there appears to be some confusion for some of the role players in the thread I just want to make it very clear that at the moment it is NOT snowing and has not been since the early hours of the morning. (Unless of course I missed something about it starting again ;-) )
*Daenary's reaction was instantaneous , her bird took to the skies once more as she quickly grasped the reins and giving her horse a swift kick to it's sides started towards the sound of the roar. Snow dust raising in the air as a screech filled the sky from the hawk above was joined by several screeches of birds taking to the skies. Heavy hoof beats filled the air as Daenary's came within view of seeing the large Elf, a brief pause in steps before she continued.*
I see the day has brought unexpected company to this part of the world.
*Her cold gaze looked over the strange pair, barely giving them a passing glance as she took in their attire , race and trying to assess whether they would be foe or provide use. Her tone was almost as cold as the snow around therm, showing no hint of feeling or emotion towards the unlikely pair.*
*Mean while.......*
*The group of hunters were silently gathering closer to Leytan and the dark haired female and fallen comrade. Though they were still out of sight hidden by the trees they used the sudden unexpected cries of the forest to smother the sounds of them moving closer, each one glancing briefly in the direction of the angry yells but focused on their prey. Only one turned and started to walk away back towards the way he had come, a faint smile on his lips. He lifted one hand as he seemed to fade into the forest and let out a shrill whistle.....then all hell broke loose.*

*A while earlier when Midnight had waited long enough for Leytans travel companion to move and had not done so she had walked to the edges of the forest, listening quietly and carefully to the noises around her or as some times is the case lack of. Her brother was still quite a distance ahead of her and she slowed her pace down. It gave her time to think, time to clear her head but not her emotions as they churned within, as well as a strange sensation, she wondered why she seemed to feel the cold so little outwardly yet within it felt like there was a icicle forming in her chest. Her fingers were bright red from the cold, as were the tips of her ears and cheeks. Her eyes had become a dark brooding blue of a midnight sky.*
*Small but clear puffs of smoke rose from her mouth with each breath, quickly fading to nothing as she walked onwards, in the middle of the forest line and the openness of the snow. Her head had started to pound and a strange sensation crossed over her skin, like the grating of fingers across sharp ice, her skin itched and crawled under the sensation as her vision seemed to blur, she turned back to look over the three out lines of Leytan and company as she felt her legs tremble. At that moment she heard the loud cry and dashed towards it's direction but her dash became a slow saunter like walk far too quickly for her liking as for a few minutes the world seemed to move on it's axis and go out of balance.*

*The Roar broke Leytan's tunnle view concentration on the Tree line and drew his attention to the direction the roar had come from.*
"Ebbria's Teeth just what the......."
*The load shrill whistle seemed to peicer Leytan's ear's and he quickly registerd the meening behind it and the potensial danger it ment, he quickly swung round crossbow at the ready....*
"Isabel get behind me!!"
*He yelled to Lady Mercury.*

*One loud noise was all it took to destroy all that work. The Tiger could do nothing but watch the Lady Falconer gallop away. It was every effort to stop himself from jumping up at the sudden sound...* !!! Aaaw... You have got to be kidding me... * He looked over in the general direction of the racket and heard Leytans distinctive voice among the trees. Geeze, the entire forest would have heard that shout. Way to go fishman... A great assasin you may be but your skills as a runaway are lousy...* *There was no time for subtlety now. Coriolis faded, broke cover and made after the horse and rider. The snow erupting under the force of "nothing" as He went...*

*Lady Mercury had during all this time been standing still, her mind conjuring protective spells to fend off unknown attacks, and hadn;t noticed Leytan's subtle drinking. At the roar, and then Leytan's shout, her concentration was broken, and she whirled around to face Leytan, and noticed that Midnight was no longer as close as she should've been
It only took her a fraction of a second to decide what to do. Instead of following Leytan's command, she shook her head at him, and headed straight to where she could see Midnight's aura, her mind automatically reaching to Leytan*
"Sorry love, but i'm not about to leave one of ours alone, from what you've told me about this part of the world, i'd rather none of us was ever alone!!"

*For a moment Leytan was confused and then the absance of Midnight also struck home to him.*
"Dam headstrong girl."
*he seethed quitley to himself. Then responded to Lady Mercury's mental message useing the mental channel she had just opend.*
"Ok Isabel you go help her i'll stay with Wren."
*He backed up and stood on gaurd over Wren Crossbow aimed at the approching army he could now clearly hear comeing towards them threw the forest.*

*Her focus was starting to become more blurred as she felt a rising bubbling sensation in her chest. A icy fountain rising, freezing her skin and seeming to freeze her from inside out, while at the same time she felt her natural healing side seemed to be storming inside of her, her body started to shake as she fell to her knees. Her clothes quickly becoming covered in snow and ice cold as snow melted due to her body heat.*
*A icy burning sensation rippled down her right arm, as if her arm was inwardly on fire, pain slashing down far more painful than ever being slashed with a blade, her left arm dropped heavily to the ground trying to hold herself up. The forest started to spin wildly as she tried to look up, trying to call for her but a heavy icy mist seemed to come from her throat, seemingly causing her to have trouble speaking. She saw someone approaching , vaguely away it was the female traveler but there seemed to be multiple of them and others who seemed to be coming out of the woods a way aways, each of them seeming to double then triple and for a moment she wondered if this was how she was going to die.*
*She threw her head back and let out a ear piercing pain filled scream as she vaguely remembered the pain she felt when she first changed shape as a adult rather than a teenager or child, someone the change had become more aggressive and painful perhaps becomes of the changes that came with such magics and what things happened to her doing such. The pain along her right arm became more powerful , her pale skin becoming as white as the snow surrounding her as she bite her lip killing off her scream, her sharp teeth tearing through ehr bottom lip, a small trickle of blood , some trailing down and off of her chin into the pale snow. She lifted her right aarm up trying to look for any injuries though there appeared to be none , she looked over to Leytan as the temperature seemed to drop even lower around her .....*

*Else where........*
* Several forest garbed men appeared out of no where, they seemed to wait for th editraction of the female before moving in towards Leyta. Some of the peopled were hooded but their figures suggested they were females under the garb, none of them seemed to pay attention to the fallen man as they all paid attention to Leytan and the blacked haired woman walking towards the forest line. A arrow seemed to appear out of now where and for a moment perhaps Leytan felt the shooter was a seriously terrible aimer as it flew close to his shoulder but rope followed the arrow landing in the ground, several of the hunters coming closer, strangely none of the approaching one seemed to have any weapons but another arrow flew over his apposite shoulder again landing in the ground his head now stuck between two pieces of rope but not hurting him.*

The large man motioned his head, shifting his straw hat to reveal the long white fangs that jutted from his mouth, he also held several more ogreish features yet they were different, more elegant and defined like the elves. He drew his sword and sheath from his belt motioning it forward the sheathe flew off the chain un-raveling from under his sleeve moving around thirty feet before falling to the ground and with another motion of his hand moved sideways before retracing its path back to its master. A rough line had formed where the sheathe had meet earth. The large Ogre-elf spoke his voice rumbling " plains walkers out here? must be of banditry, if ye are of such low existence as that of highwaymen and common footpads, yee be far out-matched lad."
The fire Lilly spoke in a musical tone which held the melodious sound of nature "Brother I believe it is a she, and if it were a bandit they would not dare enter my nor your own presence. Who are you walker of the plains? why do your journey to such lands of hopeless chills? and why do you burden nature with your body, instead of the natural ways of foot upon fresh earth?"
The large "man" stares at the woman “plains walkers all look the same to me, are yee lost little plains walker?” he paused as his ears perked upwards at the sound of bowstrings. “I hear trouble or hunters, and with our luck its never the latter less we be the prey. Plains walker what’s going on here?” he said confused and questioning, but held no demand or commanding nature and with a seeming of lost interest, now that combat may not be allowed with his sisters watchful eye.

*Leytan rolled his eyes and held up his repeater crossbow so the advancing hunters could see it. He then turned it sideways and held it with both his hands and held it at arms lenth from his face and flicked the safty catch back on then lowerd the corssbow and dropped it on the ground in front of him*
*He also unsheved his sword belt, which also had his various glass philes attache to it and gently let it down beside his crossbow....but neither weapon was to far out of reach case this situation tunred nasty.*
"I'm now unarmed."
*he said, though this was a lie he had a pair of daggers still on him one strapped to each arm hidden by his cloke and sleaves and a thin but ominus lenth of wire hung at the back of his belt.....a garote.*
"I'm not here to cause trouble...I and my freinds are mearly passing threw on our way to South Winteria and our mode of transportation decided it would go no further then here."
*a thought corssed his mind and his eyes narrowed slightly.*
"However if this is East Winteria then I claim my right as a member of the House of Shar to protection from the blade under the terms of the Royal Charter of Sax-Aesburg and I invoke my right as stated in section 7 of that same charter to extend it's portection to all my travaling companions as well."
*He said clearly and calmly.*

*The woman's eyes narrowed to thin slits, her eye colour changing to icy white with a blaze of anger as she grasped the horses reins a little tighter.*
I am indeed a she.
*She brought her gaze to the female of the two.*
It is you that journeys through a land of hopeless chill and as for burdening nature, dear one I see your...*she pauses a moment* relative....has more of a tendency for doing such than I do. This horse seems to find no trouble in being rode and is well cared for.
As for bandit, far from one am I but do not believe that any around here would avoid you both due to size..*she glances at the male* or your ...natural abilities *As she glances at the female referring to her seeming magics.*
*Meanwhile...*
*The approaching foresters and hunters slowly approached Leytan, two from behind suddenly throwing ropes to each other as the rope along his shoulders tighten, her feel a brief tug back as they test the rope but do no more.*
*The ones walking towards him pause as he slowly lowers the weapons. A female pulls her hood back, revealing a thick plaitt of red hair falling half way down her back, large brown eyes look him over with caution.*
And to which of the house of Shar do you claim to be?
*She indicated for two to move forward as the unhooked a short piece of rope from their belts.*
Hold your hands out in front of you please.
*The foresters and hunters act calmly and politely though the number of them continues to grow to the fifteen mark.*
