[OOC: Continued from "Requip and Resupply". Put this in the otherlands because it isn't really in the town...or the realm...or the same plane of existance (Ask a D&D player about the Plains. Honestly, I haven't played much adventures that went into an alternate plaine, except for things like RopeTrick.] *Addis looked at Flaccus.* "Are you familar with the spell Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion? No? A pitty. Since I know your thick skull can not handle all the secrets of the Arcane - I am shocked that you even know the magic you possess - I'll make the explanation simple. Basically, I am going to create an area for us in another plane of existance. But first..." *Addis closes his eyes, and focuses...relaxes....and begins to harness his energy. He feels the raw, unfocused magic swirling about his body, his essence. The energy feels ecstatic, yet also painful since it needs to be released [OOC: Mana Burn]. Then, he hisses a single, weird word and the area around him is covered in a obviously unnatural darkness. Addis leans againsts a wall and catches his breath.* [OOC: Addis just casted Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum, a spell that creates darkness in an area. The effects of the darkness are: Blocks vision, blocks spells that allow vision (like Scry), prevents people from hearing people inside the spell, cannot be penetrated via Darkvision. Normally, the spell takes ten minutes to cast, but Addis casted it as Quickened Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum. For non-D&D players, it costs more energy to cast but you cast it instantly, or atleast faster.] *Addis shook off the wave of exaustion and focused again. He turned towards the wall he was leaning against and began to trace symbles on the wall with his claw. A rift appeared on the wall. To anybody else, it would seem like a normal spot on the wall. To anybody skilled in the Arcane Arts, they would notice slight waves in the wall. Addis tapped Flaccus' shoulder and stepped inside. He then walked to the left briefly, and collapsed. His breathing was ragged, and his red eyes were unfocused and somewhat glazed over. However, the nearly dead Aurak Draconian had a big, proud grin on his face.*

*Flaccus didn't understand much about what his brother was doing, and wasn't in the mood to start anything. He just leaned against the opposite wall Addis was at. He then watched as Addis began casting a spell. Flaccus recognized the spell, since it was one Addis used frequently...but he used it prior to an assasination. The spell should have taken about 10 minutes, but it took more like 10 seconds! Flaccus tried to say "Woah, hang on. Don't use so much strong magic at once!", but when he spoke, no sound came out. He didn't see anything, but remembered that Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum TOTALLY eliminated sounds in the area. He then watched as Addis casted some weird spell, then walked into the wall. Shrugging, Flaccus followed.*
[OOC: Once both the Hellfire Brothers left the realm, the Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum's effects wore off.]
*Flaccus watched Addis fall and quickly picked him up. Seeing the grin, Flaccus growled.*
"Damn it Addis, don't do that! Even I know that if you use strong magic that quickly without a break, you can kill yourself!!"
*Flaccus looked around and noticed he was in some mansion. He layed Addis on a couch and looked around. The mansion looked better then even the ones in Palanthas, a feat unheard of. He started walking a hallway, and saw the pictures of the Queen's conquests along the walls.*
"What the hell did he cast?"
[OOC: Addis casted Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion, a high level spell that creates...well....a Magnificent Mansion in a different plain of existance....er..I think the Astral...The Mansion is fashioned from the caster's mind, and Addis -being a devout follower of The Queen of Darkness, made it look like Neraka, a main temple for Tahkesis, Goddess of Evil Dragonkind. So...imagine a ancient temple converted into a mansion. lol]

*Addis awoke some time later, and was pleased to note that Flaccus hadn't just left him there. He stood up from the couch and looked around and spoke to himself.*
"I-I did it. I cast it correctly. So....this is kind of like what my mind is like....weird."
*Addis walked around and then had a sudden thought Great..where did that big oaf wonder off?*
"Hey, you thick skulled moron, where the hell are you?"

*Flaccus had the feeling he was being watched..and he had no idea as to what was watching him. All I did know at the moment was....*
"I'm thirsty. I can really go for a mug of dwarf spirits...what the-"
*Flaccus had turned around and decided to go check on his brother when he saw on a table that had nothing on it, was a mug of dwarf spirits. Flaccus grabbed the mug and dipped a claw into the pungent ale. He gave a tentetive lick and his eyes widened.*
"By the Abyss, I love this place!!"
*Flaccus quickly drank down the ale and continued on his way, wondering how he got the ale but not caring much. He heard Addis' shout and saw Addis expecting his handy work.*
"Say, what exactly did you do? I wanted some ale and I got it. Heck, this tastes like the same batch Kang and his crew got from those dwarves."

*Addis looked at the mug in Flaccus' hand and chuckled to himself.*
"Your petty mind would not comprehend the magics at work here. But that is not why we are here. We must...ah, there's a suitable room to talk."
*Addis walked towards a wide room which seemed like a dining hall. The chairs were custom made for Draconian's wings and tail. Addis sat down after Flaccus and drummed his claws against the table.*
"We have to do a few things, not in any order, since plans may change. For starters, we need allies and or contacts. If we wonder around blindly, we'll get into trouble sooner or later. I have...ahem...I have unintentionnaly revealed my identity and failed to eliminate the persons who know some of my intentions. A 'Miss PheonixFlame' detected a Charm Person spell I used on the maid who works at the hotel you entered. I am not quite sure what happened...either somebody was good with Counter Spell, cast Anti-Magic Shell, or I just ran out of mana and lost focus. The details are not important, but we have a few targets that may need to be eliminated. Judging by the look on your face, you met them too. Honestly, I believe trying to eliminate them would be a waste of time and energy. It would benefit us - no, The Queen - to somehow convince her and her allies to aid us. Whether directly or indirectly, I do not care. At the very least, keep them from getting in our way. Do you understand....hey, don't drink to much or I'll poison the drinks you receive."

*Flaccus paid attention to about half of what Addis was saying, instead paying more attention to the continuous mugs of ale he was receiving. When he heard of Addis' encounter, he paid attention for a bit, then continued drinking. His mind was getting a little fuzzy by now, but he sobered up when he heard Addis' threat.*
"Sorry, fine, just calm down. No need to ruin such good drinks. Yeah, I ran into them too, but I just walked away when I scared them to death and they told me where you were. Ha, you should have seen them. They BEGGED for mercy. It was pretty pathetic really and-
*Flaccus saw Addis' stare and felt a shiver down his spine.*
"Right, anyway....Your the brains of this two man group, so just tell me who you want to see cut in half, and I'll do it. What about our revenge? And of course, that vision you received from our Queen?"

"I was getting to that, brother. The Solamnic Knight must, and will, be slaughtered. Only when his faith is broken, is honor stripped, and he begs for death. Only then will we grant him peace...after slow and agonizing torture. When dead, he will - if lucky - become a Death Knight like Lord Soth, the Knight of the Black Rose and serve Our Queen. Or, he will know eternal suffering by all those he has slain. I got a tip a while ago that he was at some school. However, I do not know where it is. I think a good thing to do would be to ask around, find it, scout it out, and plant some traps. If he comes back to it, he will find himself the victom of a Mark of Pain and I will know he set off the trap. If he is there when we arrive-"
*Addis let out a evil, hissing laugh and then regained his composure.*
"-You know what happens there on. The Portal is another delima. I mention it last because I do not know how to approach this situation. For one thing, we do not know how time passes in this realm compared to Krynn. Also, the war may be in our favor now, but the tides may change at any time. Speed is of the essence, and I can not even detect the Portal. I wonder...the Portal was intended to lead to another Tower of High Sorcery, but actually lead to the Abyss. Perhaps there is a powerful mage who fraked up somehow...I wouldn't count on it, but it is a thought."

*Flaccus reaches back to adjust a strap on the back of his breastplate, but only feels his scaily hide. Sighing, he places both of his hands on the table, and taps along with Addis without even knowing it.* [OOC: Imagine two Draconians tapping "A One-Winged Angel" by Nobuo Uematsu....weird, huh?]
"Y'know, I just thought of something...You mages are the reason why the world gets all messed up. Although it benefits us and the Queen, I think it's pretty sckrewed up. I mean, really, making a Portal to the ABYSS by accident. Of all the things one can do.
*Flaccus chuckles.*
"If I'd known about this school, I would have 'asked' somebody already. Surprised you haven't thought of that till' now. C'mon, my sword arm needs more work, and I am as bored as a Kender in the Abyss. Let's go kill that bastered..."
*Flaccus was about to stand, then he remembered for a second sorrowful time that his armor was getting repaired. The armor was like a second set of skin for him. He even slept inside it.*

"Calm yourself, brother. I am as eager as you are to shed that fool's blood, but the time will come on its own. And do watch your tongue. I am a mage. Sure, I am not a Wizard of High Sorcery, but I am still a magic user. You of all people would know it is unwise to offend me. Anyways-"
*A glass of water appeared in Addis' hand. He noticed Flaccus tilt his head and the weird, confused look on his face.*
"What? Yes, I drink water and yes I prefure it to that poison you drink. No, I do not mean that I poisoned it. Really now, I do not know why you drink that. When you get drunk, you act even dumber then a damn Gully Dwarf. And when you pass out and wake up, you feel horrible, so I've heard. Since you are incapable of rational thought, I NEED to keep my mind focused, if we are to survive."
*There was silence as Addis drank his water, and Flaccus was resisting the urge to strangle his more feeble brother's throat.*
"For now I recommend that we get some rest, and then get your armor back. Then, we will begin asking around for directions to the school. This mansion shifts itself to fit our needs, so you won't have to take a long walk anywhere if you do not want to."
*With that, Addis stood, gave his brother a nod, and walked down towards a hallway. He opened the first door on the right and entered a room, an exact duplicate of his room in Neraka, High Temple to Tahkesis, The Queen of Darkness. The room itself was pretty empty, except for a bed, a chair, a pedestal for holding books, a bookshelf (currently empty, as the spell can not duplicate magical items like Tomes), a table near the bed, and a huge stone circle in the center of the room. Addis sat on the chair, and cast a minor flame spell on the center of the stones. A campfire began and Addis stared at the flames, going over his information and plans in his mind.*

*Flaccus shook his head and finished his drink.*
"Damn crazy mages. Nobody, I repeat, nobody is as crazy as he is.*
*Flaccus decided to go down the same hall Addis went to, thinking of following Addis to his room and causing him more irritation. However, when he opened the door Addis went through, he found a broom closet.*
"Wha-What the hell?"
*Flaccus mumbled to himself as he walked further down the hall and finnaly tried a door. He opened the door and much to his surprise saw his room from Neraka. There was a bed, a large table, an anvil, a workbench, weapon racks on the walls, a armoire, and a small chest. Flaccus did a double take when he saw the weapon racks were empty. He took great pride in his weapons, and they were all gone. He ran to the armoire, and his back up suit of Chainmail was gone aswell. However, on the workbench, his smithing tools were still there.*
"No way...it took me years to get all of those...No...damn Addis....damn him and his magic to the Abyss!!"
*He then saw a note on the bed, written in Draconic (Dragon) and signed by one Barom Grimms/Addis Hellfire. The note read:
"Before you end up killing yourself - or making a failed attempt to kill me and dying in the process - you must understand that the spell works like an illusion does. It only copies what the caster's memories of perfection is, but it can not make magical items appear, like my books/rings/wands and your junk."
Flaccus just slumped down onto the bed and re-read the note a few times. Tearing it up, he yelled continous curses about arragent bastereds, crazy mages, Addis, and other topics.*

*After a few hours of staring into the flames, Addis drifted off into sleep. His dreams were, like others in this realm, disturbing memories. Memories he had been trying to supress for years.*
[OOC: For those who have read Dragonlance, this flashback takes place right about the time when Tanis, Tas, and Flint met Raistlin, Caramon, and the others.]
*Addis was excited, very excited. He heard his Queen's voice spoken directly to his mind for the first time. If Draconians could cry, he would have wept with joy. He and his clan, Hellfire, were to begin eliminating key individuals in Qualinisti while the Dark Priests awakened the Chromatic Dragons from their eternal slumber. Normally, this would be a pretty straight forward mission. Get in, kill the target, get out unseen (or atleast, without anybody knowing draconians exist). However, the Elven Capital of Qualinisti was heavily guarded by its inhabitents. Years past, elves had cival wars - Called the Kin Slayer Wars - and about half the population was expelled into the neighboring forrest, Silvenisti. Elves were also very, very protective of their land. Any person trespassing in the land had an action taken upon them. If lucky, the person would get scared by a arrow hitting the ground near his/her foot. If unlucky, that person just got shot and died. Currently, none of the other enemy races was openly hostile towards everything that moved. This made the mission even more difficult.*
"Alright, enough thinking about the history and difficulty. Its my job as head of this clan to make the plans....now let's see..."
*Addis spoke to himself as he passed in his room and thought of how to fully utilize the clan's strengths and cover their weaknesses. Currently the clan was 5 Draconians:
[OOC: Just some random information for anybody reading: There are no Draconian females. The reason is unknown to most until the Kang's Regiment series.]
Addis - Aurak Draconian Archmage. Pure magic user and backup thief.
Flaccus - Sivak Draconian Berserker. The damage dealer. His specialty was to run head first (often really head first) into a group of enemies and mow them down.
Mortax - Baaz Draconian Assassin. Sure, he was a Baaz, the weakest of the Draconian race. However, this Baaz was incredibly lethal. He possessed skills and knowledge unheard of in other races save for Auraks. Anything concerning stealth and thievery, he could do and do it well.
Borlin - Bozak Draconian Cleric. He was the most intuned with the Queen's will and was able to receive power from the Queen herself and either unleash it on her (the Queen) enemies or heal her children.
Syzzix - Kapak Draconian Ranger. Master with a bow and expert tracker. He, like Mortax, can move silently like a expert, even at a young age. What he lacks in overall skills that the others have, he makes up for because he has supernatural sences. He has never been snuck up on. Syzzix is like a scaily radar.
Thinking about how to moves about this, Addis gave a hissing laugh and snapped his fingers.*
"Ah, it's so simple. We will find a elf who is wondering alone, and Flaccus will kill it. Sivaks can change into the shape of the person they kill, so that takes care of that problem. I can naturally change my shape at will, being an Aurak. Borlin could change the others' into those irritating elves. We stroll in, make small talk, find the target. I shoot a fireball in plain sight while in the form of a Silvenisti elf and make another Kin Slayer war. We get the hell out of there and celebrate."
[OOC: This is when Addis and the Hellfire clan was young and inexperinced. They were still pretty powerful, but they have never had any real difficult tasks.]
*The plan started off well. Sadly, Flaccus had to become a female, but other then that, they got in without incident. Addis made some "friends" while he was there, and got a private audience with the Speeker of the Suns himself (Elven ruler). Then everything went wrong. It seemed the Silvenisti had their own aggenda and actually attempted what Addis was about to do. The would be assassins were found and killed, but not before they were tortured by a elven sorceress. This elf was highly skilled in magic and detected Addis and the others by the illusions. A whole elven warband was assembled and chased the draconians to the edge of the forrest. However, the escape route was cut off, and the brothers were forced to fight. Between well placed fireballs, Negative Energy Rays, a pissed Sivak, headshots via arrow, and knives in the back, the draconians seemed like they could last and make a hole in the elven ranks. Then the Arcane Archers came, archers who used magic with their already masterful archery skills. Addis, spotting the danger via magic, warned the others. However, an arrow was already shot and found its mark. The arrow was heading towards Addis' head, but was stopped by a Baaz who jumped in the way like a blur. Mortax was hit in the chest and landed painfully belly first, driving the arrow all the way through. Mortax managed to sputter the words "avenge me" before dying and turning to stone, as all Baaz do upon death. The rest of the memory faded away as Addis awoke screaming.*

*Flaccus eventually got tired of cursing, and got some sleep. It seemed neither of the Hellfire Brothers got any real sleep.* ------
*It was silent, except for his own breathing. All was thick, white mist. Flaccus could barely see anything past his snout. The tip of his sword as invisible to him. Taking a few cautious steps forward, keeping a defensive fighting stance, he walked for what seemed like forever. Nothing changed. No sounds, nothing to see, nothing. Flaccus was going insane, he began to talk to himself.*
"C'mon Flaccus, pull yourself together. It's just some illusion spell. That's all it is, some illusion. You'll be fine. Just keep walking."
*Flaccus did exactly that, counting his steps as he walked, trying to find anything different. For what have been hours and perhaps miles, the Mist finnally cleared slowly. All of a sudden, Flaccus was in the middle of some forrest. It was dark, probably midnight or early morning by the temperature and darkness. Luckly for him, Draconians could see easily in the dark. He looked up to see the moons and tell where he was, but had a shock when he only saw one white moon.*
"...Ok, why the hell is Solinari the only moon in the sky?!"
*Flaccus just looked back infront of him and shook his head. Any thoughts about the moon and where he was was banished when he heard a growl behind him. Spinning around, Flaccus brought his sword up and looked around. In nearby bushes, he saw a pair of red eyes. Flaccus hissed a few quick words and touched his arm with his hand, casting True Strike on himself.*
"Show yourself, cur. Face me, or atleast tell me where the hell I am."
*Flaccus heard a twig snap behind him and rolled out of the way as he saw a black-furred figure come past him, its claw where his neck was a second ago. The creature looked like a wolf, but it stood like a humanoid. Also, one thing that worried Flaccus the most, it had a fearsome intelligence in its red eyes. Hearing more growls, Flaccus didn't even have to look to see that he was surrounded. Flaccus gave a toothy grin.*
"Come on, puppies. Play with me."
*Another creature jumped at him, and he easily sidestepped and brought his sword down, cutting it in half. Seeing one of their own on the ground dead, the other werewolves backed off a bit, but were still obviously watching. A weird voice could be heard from behind Flaccus. He calmly turned around and saw what looked like a walking corpse, its skin decaying and rotting. It was weird to see this thing even still held together. Its organs were even visable. The thing repeated what it had said as it shambled towards Flaccus with its arms outstretched.*
"Strahd.....Strahd.....Strahd....Strahd....Strahd..."
*Flaccus easily jumped into the air and upon landing, cut it in half head first.*
"Strahd? What is that, a name? I believe so...hey, where do you think you're going!?"
*The werewolves ran past Flaccus - mainting their distance - towards the other side of the forrest. Flaccus decided to chase them, and got on all fours, dismissing his blade. Running on all fours and flapping his strong wings to extra speed, he managed to keep them in sight.* ---
*Flaccus woke up, and cursed as he couldn't remember anything else.*
"What were those...things. And who is Strahd? Maybe Addis might know."
*Flaccus got up, opened his door, and leaned on a wall outside in the hall, waiting for Addis.*

*Addis was breathing heavily, trying to forget about the memories he had banished from his mind all those years ago. No, it was only a few years ago, but it seemed like so long ago. Addis decided that sleep was not a good idea at the moment, as he feared his memories would come back to haunt him. He focused and fealt that all of his magical energy was replenished, althought he himself was still pretty tired. Opening the door, he stepped out into the hall and saw Flaccus waiting for him.*
"What's wrong? Can't sleep? Aye, same for me. Just some...memories I rather not think about. You look troubled."
*Flaccus asked Addis about this "Strahd" and the creatures in his dreams and the Mist.*
"Sorry, I have never heard of anything nammed Strahd. Those wolf things are also unknown to me. However, I do know you saw a basic undead. A zombie. Basically, a corpse that walks and does its masters' bidding. Judging from the way it repeated Strahd over and over again, it is safe to say that Strahd is its master. He seems pretty arragent, to have his minions repeat his name so much that it is maddening."

*Flaccus gives a forced chuckle. Normally, his brother's jokes (that aren't about him) cheer him up, but he still fealt...weird.*
"Strahd...Strahd.....Strahd....Yeah, that is pretty annoying. Bothers me to even say it! How about you hit a library while I go and get my armor back. Say, you do have your Arcane Mark and Scry on my armor, right? That guy seems kinda too polite to me. Kinda like, I dunno, YOU."

*Addis gives a grin*
"Yes, I am a bit too polite at times. I already like that Oliver guy, which means that we can not trust him. Although I do have my Arcane Mark on your armor, I do not possess Scry. However, my amulet does function as an Ioun Stone, and I do have Scry on Item within it. Along with a few other handy spells that I, as a Sorcerrer, am not able to cast. If he is a fool and tries something, I will know. I do have some traps on that armor and I wish I am around to see the effects if he sets one off. A library does sound like a good place to go to. You, however, will have to come with me. Knowing you, you'll get into trouble. Now, stand still, I need to cast something on you. No, it's not a trick. It allows us to communicate telepath.....er...using our minds with eachother."
*Addis reaches out and touches Flaccus head (barely) and casts Rary's Telepathic Bond on Flaccus.*
[OOC: Allows them to speak telepathically with each other.]
