[OOC: Keeping some info to myself, so if this sounds confusing, sorry lol.)
*Addis crept along the wall of the cave, stalking his prey. He was hunting a man named Jozan, a friend of the human warrior Caramon Majere. He followed Jozan around most of Ansalon, and into this cave. He'd been hunting Jozan for what seemed like days, and the exaustion and hunger was setting in. Finnally, he found a light. Walking out of the cave, Addis sniffed the air. No sign of Jozan. Addis looked to the night sky for answers, looking at the stars.*
What!? Where's Paladine? Tahkesis? Gilean?...Am I even in Krynn anymore?
*Addis couldn't see the stars that made up the images of the gods of Krynn. Then, he knew that he wasn't in his home world. Looking behind him, he saw the cave was gone. Giving a annoyed hiss, he covered himself with his robe, to look more humanlike, and walked towards what looked like a town.*

[OOC: Good start. Several of the characters on this forum originate from other worlds, and find that they've somehow wandered into the Knightmare Realm, so there's no problem in beginning that way. As for keeping some things to yourself, it adds to the intrigue. ]

Post by Jozan Dumarr on Nov 8, 2007 1:29:13 GMT
*Some time before Addis' arrival [OOC: So I'll put it in past tense]... At last, Jozan Dumarr reached the mouth of cave. Quickening his pace, he met the fresh air and daylight with relief.* Now maybe my headache will clear. *Finding a patch of thick grass, Jozan sat down. Whilst journeying through the cave, he had fallen and hit his head. Not only was it painful, but it had affected his memory. His mind felt hazy, with much of his knowledge beyond his grasp, as if the facts had been locked up in Dungeon cells for which Jozan had no keys. [OOC: I admit, I'm giving myself an excuse in case I get any details wrong about the Knights of Solamnia etc. ] He decided to ask himself the most basic questions, in order to recover what memories he could at this time. First: who?* Who am I? That I know. I am Jozan Dumarr, a knight. What else? *He looked down at his armour.* A Solamnic Knight of the Order of the Rose. *He smiled as his oath came back to him.* Est Sularus Oth Mithas. There is no knock to the head that can ever wipe that away! *Next: why?* Why was I in that cave? *Jozan quickly remembers: the Aurak Draconian. It was after him. Alas, he could recall little more than that. He had led the evil creature from one end of Ansalon to the other, but it had persisted in its pursuit. Surely it would not be far behind. Which begged the next question:* Where am I? This place, it feels so completely unfamiliar. It is nowhere on Ansalon. And what is more, I'd wager that it's nowhere on Krynn. *Jozan realised that he had left his home realm behind for another universe, and "how?" was a question he could not begin to answer. But it had happened, that was for certain. For a moment, he considered venturing back into the cave and trying to return to the familiar terrain of Ansalon. But he checked himself.* The only way is onwards. There is no turning back. *And as he spoke those words, he felt a strange sensation, as if the new world around him was agreeing with him, welcoming him, perhaps even supporting him. But there was no time for sentimentality. The Draconian would be following in his footsteps - in the worst sense of the phrase - and he had to keep moving. Finding a well-worn path nearby, Jozan began to follow cart tracks, trusting that they would lead him to a settlement where could get a little rest and plan his next move. And possibly purchase a remedy for that annoying headache. [ModNote: Continued in Rest and Refuge, Knightmare Boarding School section.]

[OOC: Contued from "Onwards ever onwards"*Addis landed in a rocky area, with mountains about an hours' hike behind him. Looking around, he sighed.* "Heh, I forgot about the cave disappearing. I wonder what sort of arcana fueled it. Oh well." *Addis sat on a rock, and waited for Flaccus to land.*

*Flaccus landed clumsily, proving once again that Sivak Draconians were never known for their grace. He looked at Addis, while trying to calm his heart from the Dragonfear.*
"We have issues to talk about, brother. Serious issues. I used to be encouraged and rallied by dragons, now I fear them? Why the hell does Dragonfear effect me? It's a blue, for the Que-"
*Flaccus stopped, remembering that he was trying to stop using that common saying. Their Queen had abandoned them and her followers were out to kill them. The time to praise her had ended long ago.*

"Simple, we have not foughten besides them in nigh one hundred years . . . . Also, if you would remember, we had to escape from dragons of both factions at one point. That was the main reason why I casted the Planeshift spell - without me knowing that I knew how to cast it. Er . . . I am not entirely sure how that happened. I do know that I am what you could call a Sorcerer, meaning that I am a mage who casts spells without needing to study and remember them. At seemingly random times [OOC: When he levels up lol], I discover that I can cast new spells. I don't even know why."
*Addis yawns, and stares off, thinking about how magic works.*

*Flaccus actually paid close attention to the words Addis said. He then remained silent for a few seconds, going over the words. Then, he began to get irritated.*
"Alright, what now, genius? Where do we go from here? I do not want to be around if the gobbos come around here . . . well, I do but you don't. Let's just go back to that inn you were talking about."

Addis shook his head slightly, pondering the possible options.
"I am not sure if that crowd of people is still there, and in case if you have not noticed, I have developed a phobia of some sorts - to crowds. 'Tis due to a tactic that I along with others who have tried to assassinate me use. Hiding in plain sight, disguised as a simple peasant, and stabbing the mark in the back of the neck is an exceedingly effective tactic that almost claimed my life on few occasions. The Forest has a horde of green-skins that I do not want to encounter. Perhaps we should wander the town, and see what information can be obtained. Your thoughts?"

Flaccus started pacing, and scratched the back of his neck.
"Y'know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. And . . . I never knew that. Why didn't you tell me early- oh . . . judging by your face, you did. Erm, was I drunk? Uh-right, dropping the topic."
Flaccus gave a cough, then hissed a command word. His Swordbreaker appeared in his hand. He began to toss it in the air and catch it as he paced.
"Sure, sounds good to me. Hopefully, we can grab a good bite to eat while we're there. So, where do we start?"

Addis stands up, and adjusts his robe. He then slips the book into his sleeve and begins to walk towards the town, skirting it somewhat as to not enter via the main gate. "Here, stay within ten feet of me, and we shall be fine. Just . . . just keep your hands on your armor and try to prevent the clanking that may give us away." Addis whispers, then hisses a few words. Both Hellfire Brothers disapear, and tracks can be seen heading towards town - one set of tracks, armored and taloned. [OOC: Continued for the Hellfire brothers in "A Forgotten Part of Town . . . ", Wolfenden Village section.]
