[ModNote: Continued from Looking for Leytan.] *Raven quickly enters Tom's Room once again. She stops herself from saying 'Hi Tom', and feels dissapointed that he hasn't reappeared. She moves over to the table where the 'Detect Powder' is still sitting. Of course, what doesn't help is that Raven is still blisfully aware of what 'Shadow Voice' actually gave her... unless it really is Detect Powder, which seems unlikely at best.* Here you are... *She starts unfastening the bag*

*Raven opens the small pouch and looks inside. Within is a dark powder, which reflects the sun slightly. Raven pours the powder into her hand, and starts to think about where she should spread it to best track Tom*

*As Raven is thinking this she registers the fact that the window is still open and a slight draft is comeing and there is some sort of comotion going on in the street people are talking quite loadly. But she can't make out what they are saying.* *Sudernly she hear's a bump that sounds like it came from up on the roof. and then a some what annoyed voice.* "Honestly Lokie!! You'll have the villigers after us if you keep doing things like this. Just stay here while I go and appolagise to the Owner, because I dought he'll be to happy about us landing on his roof" *Then there is some scrabaling and a pair of feet apper at the opend window scrabaling about trying to find the ledge to stand on. The feet find the ledge and then quick as a flash a young man hops into the room. He looks around and see's Raven.* "Oh good morning miss. Is this your house?? Just if it is I appolagise about Lokie landing on your roof. I don't know what's got into him." *Just then the head and Neck of Lokie The Fire-Drake poke in threw the open window and starts sniffing round.* Lokie: Mmmmmm someones got some Dragon Nip. And it smells appsalutly delichous. *The Orange dragon looks at Raven and at the powder in her hands.*

*Raven starts back, away from the two newcomers. She pulls the 'Detect Powder' closer to herself.*
"I.. think you must be mistaken, sir. This is 'Detect Powder', used for detecting hidden magic, or so i'm told. Oh, this isn't my house, this room is Tom's"
*Raven goes blank for a second, then suddenly resumes*
"This is an Inn, actaully, the Wolf's Howl Inn to be precise.. I don't actaully know the owner.. he is probably downstairs."
*Raven seems to be avoiding looking at, talking about or to the Drake. Although she is trying to conceal this, she isn't doing a particularly good job*

[OOC: This account has temporarily changed hands - holiday cover, you might say - so please excuse any variations in style and character. -YG]
Lokie: I think you had better introduce us.
*Drago bows.*
I am Drago Lestrade, formerly of the Airwan, and this is Lokie, my firedrake.
Lokie: Your firedrake? Remind me to discuss semantics with you, Drago, next time you are my passenger.
I do hope you aren't this young lady's first dragon. She'll come away with the impression that dragons are a bunch of winged egoma-
*A loud snort from Lokie cuts Drago off, leaving him with a silent smirk. They both look at Raven.*

*Raven continues shying away from the dragon. She fidgets uncomfortably. She looks to the side of Drago, at the wall*
I am Raven, I am a... was, a Dungeoneer.
*She shifts her hand in her pocket. The Detect Powder is still in her other hand*

A dungeoneer? I don't believe we've ever met a dungeoneer. What was your quest?

*At that Raven drops her stare to the floor*
"That doesn't matter. It's over. It's.. all.. over!
*Raven sags to the floor and starts sobbing. She obviously hasn't dealt with this issue since she arrived in this dimension.*

Lokie: *Drily* Must you always have this effect on people?
*A little flustered at Raven's unexpected breakdown* I was only making polite conversation. With the girl whose doorstep you brought us to!
Lokie: Windowsill.
*In spite of this pedantry, Lokie's voice is quieter. Could a touch of guilt, or of compassion, have crept in?
Drago, meanwhile, tries to comfort Raven, but has no idea what to say.*
There, there. It can't be that bad.

*Raven suddenly lashes out at Drago. She looks furious*
"I HATE YOU, I HATE ALL OF YOU! I HATE THIS DUNGEON, I HATE THIS STINKING PLACE!"
*Her expression seems to calm, but the anger is still in her voice*
"All my friends are long gone, even Tom dissapeared. What about my family? How many years has it been?"
*She suddenly calms down considerably, and starts pacing the room. Raven continues asking these questions, not to Drago.. but to herself*

*With the compelling aroma of Dragon Nip filling his nostrils, the inn (or Dungeon, as Raven apparently considers it) is far from a stinking one to Lokie. And it was indeed he who brought Drago to this encounter, not the other way around. Rather than leaving the stranger to her moodswings, which would perhaps be prudent, he slides his entire body into the room, and brings himself face to face with Raven.*
Lokie: Is there really any need to speak to Drago in that way?

*Raven finally makes eye contact with the Dragon. This is generally considered unwise. Rumor has it that looking into the eyes of a dragon is far too much for humans, and often leads to insanity. Raven however, looked at Lokie straight on.. except.. it wasn't Raven looking at the Dragon.. it was a different face.. older. But.. as soon as it was there, it was gone... Raven looks at Lokie blankly.. and promply passes out. She falls to a heap on the floor.*

*Drago turns to Lokie with raised eyebrows.*
"Must you always have this effect on people?"
Lokie: *Snorts* If that was my doing, at least I succeeded in pacifying her, unlike you.
Pacified? She could very well be dead.
*Drago begins casting his eyes around the room. Lokie knows well that when a so-called Second Level Thief is casting his eyes around the room of a possibly-dead person, it is not being done out of simple curiosity. Of course, there is something in the room of which, truth be told, Lokie would like to take possession; but Drago needs to be kept in check.*
Lokie: I suggest we allow her a moment or two to demonstrate that she is not.

*Raven continues lying on the floor. The detect powder (or Dragon-Nip) has scattered across the floor. In her other hand there is a tooth, which Lokie immediatly recognises as a dragon's tooth*

[OOC: It's best to leave the actions, speech and thoughts of a character to the member who controls that character. For example, I can't help wondering whether Lokie would in fact immediately recognise a dragon's tooth. It depends on how much time he's spent looking into other dragon's mouths, or baring his teeth in the mirror ...and it's not really for other members to make assumptions on that score. I'd suggest that Drago, whose companion is a dragon, is more likely to recognise the tooth of one.] Lokie, if you can tear your attention away from the happy powder for a moment, take a look at what's in her other hand. A dragon's tooth! Lokie: Are you certain? With the amount of time you spend talking... yes, quite certain. Lokie: In that case, it would appear that I am not her first dragon after all.
