I've noticed along my travels that The forums 'cast' list appears to be missing a few of the Knightmare Signature Characters For Example:- Treguard Pickle Majida Sidriss etcetcetc I know that we have Lord Fear and Sylvester Hands (Loveable little ball o' grease that he is! ) but do we have, or have we had, any of the others?

You left out Young Grimwold!
[First edit] and FrightKnight counts too, in my opinion.
[Second edit] Also, Hands and Motley.

Skarkill is deceased. Ah Wok has departed, possibly to return eventually. The Automaton was just used for "Battle Royale". Brother Strange, I think, was heavily involved in an earlier storyline; he may have died or departed or something, I don't know. Raptor put in a brief appearance only do disappear for no good reason. Ditto Stiletta. Hordriss, I think, is on a sabbatical. I'm not sure whether FrightKnight is still around.
I think we need more Opposition types, be they original Knightmare characters or new ones. It's rather dull with just Lord Fear, myself and Brinkatore (FrightKnight seems to have taken his own path). The Powers that Be, in their original form, haven't manifested themselves as a faction (Hordriss threw in his lot with a different set of goodies), but the Opposition is clearly present. Just very small. I don't have time for another character at the moment and two Opposition characters would probably be inappropriate and, frankly, not much fun, so any others are always welcome.

Worth pointing out that Automatum on Surrounds wasn't a direct spin-off from Knightmare - he's based on the Automatum character from RPG Season 6. Other RPG characters who've been recreated on Surrounds are Kully, Aranel and Robin. (Unused accounts: Gabriel, DinosaurName.) All played by the same people who play them at the RPG.

Well, I'm not sure that this is such a bad thing (The small number of signature character, not forgetting the Brollachan which is terrible!)
After all, the dungeon always phase shifted and ended up with new people, and as for the lack of opposition... true, but there are alternative oppositions which appear even if not organised. Lady Morgan, Scareye and Visage to name but three may have vanished, but Hakonatu, the Alzan Assasin, Anthony Delgado and, to an extent, Sir Edmund Locksley fill the role of opposition even if they conflict with the traditional one...
Not to mention the vast number of neutrals, which returns the dungeon to its early seasons feel where there were very few characters who could be called definitely good or evil....
On a personal note, I'd like to bring Hordriss back from sabattical eventually, anyone willing to play Sidriss when he returns, I've something in mind for her but I really can't start another character!

I'm baaaa-aaack!
In a slightly less frequent visitor capacity (bye-bye, computer in own Uni room, hello, going to the library), I should be making FK return to the fold (as soon as I remember where I left him!) Sorry about the old abscence, but I've had a lot on my head the past couple of months, and this slipped out of my mind for a while.
But I'm back.
And I'm still rather evil.
(George the Goblin might return too).

How could anyone forget about The Brollachan??? ;D With a lot of determination, it may yet be possible. Since this thread was last posted in, I think there's only been one addition to the list: Aesandre. Back when the character was introduced, the player concerned wanted simply to establish Aesandre with a single post, then leave her be until the forum was quieter, and there was no reason for us, i.e. the Mod team, to say no. Now, though, we have a situation where the player seems to have left Surrounds permanently, various storylines may cross into Winteria, and a major KM character key to Winterian goings-on is effectively boxed off. With that in mind, I'd like to suggest an approach that wouldn't normally be taken: if Aesandre becomes essential to a plot, and the player concerned won't come back, the Mods would take control of the account, and reassign it to a player who can ensure that Aesandre stays active for as long as necessary. Just a suggestion at this stage, but if it sounds helpful, it can be discussed via PM when the time is right.

Well, the player behind Aesandre did come back... but went and deleted the account! So now no one can play her. I think this is a good time to remind all members about this point from the Guidelines section: If someone loses interest in their character, please don't just abandon him or her in the middle of the action - either wait until the end of an event, allow them to die or go away on a permanent trip, if possible. Do please remember that. But remember also that if you're struggling with your character, you can always share your difficulties with the Moderators, who will be happy to help in any way they can with giving the character new options and new life.

Out of curiosity and since we've added another character to this list in the form of Gretel.
I was just wondering do Brother Silence and Theodora Snitch count as 'Signature Characters'?? Given how both appeared in sanctions and in canon material of the show.

It depends on whether by 'signature character' Coriolis meant a prominent Knightmare character or any character from the Knightmare episodes. Personally I would count Brother Silence. And I regard the Geek Week episode as an official Knightmare episode so I would count Theodora too. Actually I've been meaning to post in this thread for a while, regarding a comment in my previous post. Well, the player behind Aesandre did come back... but went and deleted the account! So now no one can play her. On reflection, I've realised that that was somewhat harsh. (Although I still feel that withdrawing a character by deleting the account without warning is not the best way to go about things.) We now have quite a few abandoned Knightmare characters (and I define abandoned as rendered inactive by an indefinite unannounced absence). For example: Stiletta, Motley, Sylvester Hands and Aesandre as previously mentioned. To suggest that these are all permanently blocked off seems restrictive, especially since the characters didn't 'belong' to the respective members in the first place. So if anyone would like to play an abandoned KM character, please contact me or another active moderator and we will discuss the feasibility.
