...what do you think, guys? Reckon it might work? I'd like some of the KM forum goers to indulge in some KM character role play, and its quite exciting to have two or three forums linked! The KMBS was getting a bit big with all the school categories and boards, so I figured a separate one for the outer ranges might be in order, and more people could try some different roleplay if the school didn't appeal to them

Lol not yet, my dear - Ringmaster created the world of the Nether, so he has a right to the password. This is supposed to be a very secretive place so its a great feat if you are sent there on role-play missions! The aim now is to start some role play and stories so eventually we get to one involving the dark lands

The Nether World is not a place one ventures into without the right precautions, there is much chaos stirring there at the moment. It is not safe to even stroll through the countryside anymore.
However when the time is right then you will be given access.

I don't know the exact date on which this forum was created, but based on the quoted post, today's as good a day as any to regard as the Knightmare Roleplay Forum's birthday - and this year is its tenth.

I am very thankful for Surrounds, proud of my involvement here, and humbled by the outpouring of imagination and creativity that I have witnessed from so many fellow members and friends here. This has been a fantastic way to repay a debt of gratitude to Knightmare.

I, like many people, have been a bit scatty with using the forum, on and off, but I still consider it an important bit of the fan community, and for its relevance and the chance to roleplay outside of normal parameters, I am grateful.

To you as well, David, for keeping this thing going as long as you have.

Thank you for your appreciative comments. I am glad that so many people have had such positive experiences here alongside my own. We've even managed to attract some members over the years who didn't know what Knightmare was but still enjoyed the roleplaying opportunities here.

As a few of you will have noticed in recent days, Surrounds was all white... now it's alright! This latest upgrade is the biggest change to ProBoards' look and feel since we all started using it. But with the forum having experienced a boost to Life Force lately, it feels like a good time.

I see that I'm not the only one who made a logged-in visit to Surrounds during 2021. I hope you too have enjoyed rereading the stories and taking pride in your and others' creativity.

I wish the forum hadn't withered through abandonment of characters in the way it did, especially since the forum guidelines had discouraged it. If enough members wanted to revive their characters, with a commitment to posting regularly, then I would still be open to the idea of returning as a member and moderator too.
