[OOC: Continued from Trapped in a weird realm....]
*Jozan is walking along a path, approaching his next destination. After he had arrived at the town, Wolfenden it's called, he made straight for the marketplace. To get the supplies and information he needed, he had to trade several of his own items, including various pieces of armour and weaponry. But what he acquired in their place should help him considerably in this strange realm.
After clambering through a gap in the outer wall, Jozan Dumarr walks towards the main building of the Knightmare Boarding School. He gasps as he looks upon it. Fallen masonry, ruined brickwork, collapsed walls... and not through age, for many of the building materials appear to be just a few years old. It is like an apple, once ripe and juicy, has been bitten into, half eaten then left to rot. Sadness and confusion creep into Jozan's noble heart.*
What dark forces are raging in this realm for a school to be laid waste in this way?
*In its current state, the school must surely be abandoned. But that's what Jozan is hoping for. If he stayed in accommodation in the town, the Aurak would find him in a trice. But if he hides here in the deserted school, he will be safer for longer. So long as a wall doesn't fall on him.
Jozan reaches the main building. There have been half-hearted attempts to board up doors and windows, and parchments have been pinned up here and there, warning that school is unsafe. But Jozan is resolved, and no such warnings would persuade him to turn back now. Wrenching open the front door, he enters.
As he expected, the entrance hall is dark and dusty. The floor is littered with lumps of wood and stone. Stepping around these obstacles, Jozan advances to a room straight ahead. The door is painted with the words 'STAFF ROOM', and a light-hearted picture of a sparkling staff. On a noticeboard beside the door, Jozan finds a map of the school:*
[OOC: Created by Emii for the original Knightmare Boarding School RP forum.]
*It is missing details of the upper floors and the other school buildings, but nonetheless is helpful to Jozan. Taking the staircase to his right, which shudders slightly as he climbs it, Jozan reaches the Nettle-Rose dormitory tower. The decor suggests to him that this was intended for students of a darker disposition, which makes it the wrong place for him; but he reasons that the more unlikely his hiding place, the better it will serve him.
With this in mind, Jozan opts to enter the females' dormitory. It does not feel terribly chivalrous to do so, but there are no females around to be offended; and besides, the room has a window that looks out over the front of the school: a great strategic help. Jozan finds the beds in good condition, and wonders whether they have ever been used. With every passing moment, the Aurak will be gaining on him, and he must gather as much slumber as possible. Within moments, Jozan is lying on a bed, drifting into sleep.*
