"I don't think hunting is necessary just now, but who knows how long we may be stuck here? If there is a river within the boundaries of the 'arena' I can fish if needed."
*Examining the stake, Ursula nods in agreement at Young Grimwold's words*
"Yes... since we have this weapon, it cannot be used against us."
*There is a slight pause as Ursula ponders the contents of her own knapsack, not really sure if anything in there qualifies as a weapon*
"Hmmmm... I wonder what my object is intended for... it's hardly a weapon..."

"What that idiot out of my path It increases our chances at winning Hands, at this rate it might come down to Opposition Leader VS Opposition Henchman." said Lord Fear.

*Lady Morgan looks around, she is still shocked at what happened with the book. The tree she dived into offered no protection. She attempts to move or at least identify her surroundings*

*LMDC realises there is nothing for her to identify - there is just...nothing in there. She is trapped, alone, in the book, and CANNOT get out...*

"If we want to get out of here Hands, we'll have to, but we'll just wait for now, the waiting game begins" said Lord Fear tapping his fingers together.

*A scroll suddenly appears in front of every character, with words glistening in gold. The Old Man's voice echoes in their head as they read it to themselves...* Old Man: Oh...I forgot one last thing! There is a time limit on this game. Three days! You have already had one day...if you were wondering what happens when the time limit is up; well, we can only have one winner, yes? If there is more than one of you left that would be unfair...so, all thread necklaces shrink, you all die, and no-one wins. *cheerfully* Battle on! [OOC: Three days is about a week and a half in forum time, so don't panic Well, you can panic if you like - I don't mind! ;D]

"Hands, I brought a drink with me, I want you to give it to that ogre, tell him that I rather kill you then work with you, but lets pull of an Opposition trick on them" said Lord Fear handing Hands the potion.
"Don't drink it whatever you do"

Post by Hordriss de Confuseur on May 23, 2004 19:21:40 GMT
*Hordriss was observing the deaths of Skiprazor and FrightKnight when he felt the spyglass grow uncomfortably warm and hastily dropped it*
One watched for a little too long there... One would not wish to risk a fireball emerging from the spyglass, especially since that breaks the device, which is so very useful.
[OOC: This means that he hasn't seen LF's plot to get Grimwold, which would probably be an unfair advantage]
*As he picks it up he notices the new scroll and reads it, his frown deepening...*
Evidently we are not entertaining enough... bah! We have had three deaths and one imprisonment, what more does he want? Of course one knows the answer to that....
Ursula, Young Grimwold, where are you? One must continue to wait here at the border, but it is dangerous to be alone...
Hurry please...

* Hands blunders around looking for Young Grimwold, eventually catching sight of him with Ursula. Hiding behind them, he spellcasts "T R U S T" and prepares to address them. *
[OOC: I think I can guess what this spell will do, but I'll wait for Kully's reply before proceeding with the dialogue; please would others do the same.]

[OOC: They will trust you until the spell wears off - I'll let you know when this happens! As for the blundering - I believe you two are responsible enough to sort this out between yourselves? If you would like me to make a decision as to whether Sly's actions would work or not please do not hesitate to IM me ]

[OOC: Yes, you're right, you would have perceived me with little difficulty, but the effects of the spell mean that (for the moment) you do not find my odd manner of approach suspicious.]
'Ello, Grimwold! Miss Ursula. I want to 'elp you get rid of Lord F - 'e doesn't want me to 'elp 'im any more. "Go away, 'Ands," 'e says, "it's each man - or nearest equival- equilav- elquiv- thing like it, in your case - for 'imself, so naff off, and if I 'ave to kill you, I won't hesit- hetisa- hestit- I'll be quick about it." So now I wants to 'elp you, and I've nicked this potion off 'im. Drink it, Grimwold, and it'll give you an advant- adantv- avandag- it'll 'elp you.

*Even though he has never met Sylvester Hands before, YG feels unusually comfortable in his presence. His clothes are not pretentious, and his smell is... natural. YG lowers his wooden weapon, and listens to the man's ramblings. He gives a wry smile at Hands' quaint illiteracy, and decides that, feeling so at ease after the shock of the recent scroll appearance, he will engage this potential new ally in conversation.*
A pleasant surprise to meet a fellow contestant in this way! The fact that you know my name, while I don't know yours, is surely a sign of your dedication to being an all round helpful gentleman! I'd be very happy to hear what you've experienced of the battle so far; and I trust that Ursula will say the same herself!
