*Cathrine mentally sighs. *
I'll sell you half of my weapon stock. and the chains if you so wish. Where would you like them to be delivered to?
Reguarding the magic reagent's I don't think I have any that would be useful in keeping the peace but I'll look for you anyway.

*As Catherine and Sir Edmund debate the matter Catherine see's a couch pull up across the street and is relived to see Marcus Step out of the couch. He looked at Catherine with a look that was mixture of plesure and quzzalmaent, but assumeing she is busy tradeing he just waves and starts to head off in the other direction towards the main Market square.* [ModNote: Marcus was last seen in Evil Rides At Midnight.]

*Marcus took the hint and in a act of galantry that was realy out of character for him he started over to save Catherine's honnour.*
"What the hell am I doing he thought. I have an Assosiation meeting to get to and I'm wasteing my time helping out Catherine Barter."
*He thought to himself and yet half of him wanted to help her.*
*In a few more strides he was beside her but also far enough forward to half shelid her from Sir Edmund.*
"Excuse me my good man, but that is no way for a gentlman to act now is it? Harrasing an innocnet young woman in front of her own fine establishment? What ever happaned to manners and civalry?"

Harrassing sir? I believe that I was purchasing a good proportion of Miss Barter's stock at a handsome price. Not to mention attempting to ensure the wellbeing of this community. In such a situation as this it would have been more expedient merely to requisition the goods, but I hate to use my rights unnecessarily. I am, you see sir, the new Chief Inquisitor for this region.
*At this point Catherine introduces them, and Locksley spots the intimate gesture and instantly understands the situation.*
Thinks: Ugh! The complications of the heart. How irritating. It is clear that logic will have very little to do with these two, affection is such a barrier to clear thought
*Extends his hand, speaking again*
Count Brinkatore, I have heard much of your father. A noble family, but I believe one a little too involved with various underground organisations. I have also heard, much to your credit, that you reject your heritage. I trust that you will be of great assistance to the common good.
*He gives another tight smile* If my manner appears brusque in your eyes, you must remember my lord, miss, that I deal in a world of fact and order. In order to maintain your social niceties, it is necessary for me to abandon them. I think though that were you to enquire into my background, you might find that my breeding is unmatched.

*Marcus smiles and shakes Sir Edmunds Hand.*
"About time thewy appointed some one, the last one wasn't much cope, god rest his soal."
"I will take your word on your breeding my dear Sir Edmund. But have a care how you speak of my father, what ever else he was he was still my father."
"As for the stock I heard from across the street you are looking to form a Town Malicha. My good man had you but asked about town or one of your own gaurds you would have found out that My Private Gaurd is always at the dissposal of the town Gaurd or Local Inquisitors."
"They are all well armed, dissapline and trained."
"Forgive my brisqu manner earlyer but me and Ms Barter, are......close freinds."

*Locksley shakes Marcus' hand with as much warmth as he ever musters. At the mention of Ms Barter a look of slight pain crosses his face, however.* Thinks: That, Brinkatore is obvious. Hmmm, an interesting situation. Whatever your real state of affairs Count, you are not an innocent. Aloud: I am sure that your father was a fine man Count, but since the collapse of the Great Challenge here the presence of the Opposition has become more and more unnecessary. Indeed after this present crisis is over I suspect I will have to see if some new laws can be brought in to restrict their movements. I would be most grateful if your personal guard were to add themselves to my new force. Perhaps they could even assist in the training of the men? I am sure they are better organised than the rabble left to me by my predecessor. *Thinks about Catherine and Marcus, and decides that he will avoid the following scene which he suspects is inevitable* In any case, since I have made my purchases I must go for the present. Could you deliver the chains and weapons the guardhouse Miss Barter? If the gemstones I have left do not cover the price kindly send your bill. My lord, your personal guard will be appreciated at the guardhouse. *He gives a brisk bow, straightens his utterly unruffled hair, and leaves the shop after any parting comments. As he goes he thinks* Thinks: In any case, this will place your personal guards where I can keep an eye on them... [OOC: He doesn't KNOW about Brinkatore, but has a few reasons to suspect. Then again, he suspects everyone!] [ModNote: Locksley returns to The Guardhouse.]

I'm fine thanks Marcus.
*Returning back to her shopkeeper mode she walks over to the counter.*
How are you?

*Phinehas chuckles to himself at these people and their pathetic issues.*
This is sad. Everyone here seems so pathetically caught up in their business and secure in their ways. About time I shook some people up.
*He glances over his shoulder at Catheringe, who is talking to Brinkatore, and sighs.*

"I'm fine Catherine my dear."
*Marcus says following her into the shop.*
"Glad to be of service to you out there."
*At this point both he and Catherine passed behind a shelf in the shop that put them out of view of anyone in the shop or looking threw the window from the high street.*
*Marcus realised this and decided to take a chance. H ecaught hold of Catherines left hand and pulled her to him he wraped his free arm around her and held her close and tight to his body, then he kissed her pashonatly on the lips.*

*Catherine reasponds back for several minutes then heres her name called and someone else calling "shopkeeper". With a reluctant smile she breaks the kiss.*
I have to get back to work.
*With that she walks back to where she can be seen and begins to serve those waiting for items.*

*Phinehas chuckles when he sees a flushed Catherine walk out to serve her customers.*
Heightened senses do come in handy.
*He walks up to Catherine and goes straight into business.*
I know I'm a day early, but I'm wondering if my cloak is finished. Also, I overheard that you deal in weapons here and was wondering if you had anything Elven.

*Catherine smiles she'd only just finished doing the cloak before opening up shop.*
Yes I have indeed finished your cloak and weapons yes I do have some Elven ones. I wouldn't be a good shopkeeper if I didn't have a wide varity of items.
If your going to buy some you better buy them before I get half my stock taken to the guardhouse.
*She opens a cupboard behind her and in the upper corner was a array of Elven daggers, swords, bow and arrows and other more interesting weapons.*
