[ModNote: SaxonStorm was previously seen in Medical enquiry.] *SaxonStorm enters the scene with a look of gravelly suspicion in his eyes. His enquiries in the Dunnfalls and elsewhere have so far come to nothing, but while passing the area he heard mention of the name of an old colleague, Edgar.* Edgar? I know that one. Trouble has a habit of following him, or anyone else who ever goes near him. *Saxon decided to eavesdrop from a discreet vantage point under the tarpaulin of one of the stalls. His frightknight training has made him adept at observing without being observed, and he has heard much of the conversation. As the confrontation between Skarkill and the old one becomes physical, Saxon, with typical bountiful courage and equally typical profound lack of forethought, steps out of cover and runs to Edgar's side.* In trouble again, old man? You should choose a more moderate line of work. Edgar: So says the frightknight, eh? *Suspecting that Skarkill is about to make another move towards them, Saxon holds up a hand and stands between him and Edgar.* Don't even think about it, handsome! You want another go at him, you're welcome to try and get past me, but I'm promising you, one of us won't be getting up again afterwards. This fellow is under my protection, and there's no bigger guarantee than that.. I suggest you run along.

"Easy Frightknight. I was just giveing him some freindly advise." "I'll be going now. REMEBER WHAT I SAID OLD MAN." *With that Skarkill turns tail and heads off towards The Wolfs Howl Inn.* [ModNote: Link added.]

*Saxon watches contemptuously as the goblin master withdraws. Only when he's sure the coast is clear does he turn back to Edgar.*
You should also choose your friends more carefully, old man.
Edgar: You should be grateful I don't, "young man", otherwise you wouldn't have a friend in the world!
I sometimes think I'd be better off without them.
Edgar: Really? As I recall, it was the floor of my house you slept on last time you ran away from Marblehead. Didn't feel friends were so expendable thendid you?
And such a luxurious comfortable floor it was too.
Edgar: There's plety of nice soft cow dung to lie on in the fields instead if you like.
I'll pass on that. You want to tell me what all that was about?
Edgar: Oh you know the sort of thing.
You don't want to tell me what it was about?
Edgar: I don't need to. You were watching from under that stall over there, you heard the whole thing.
I was only passing on the off-chance.
Edgar: Passing on the off-chance by means of the underside of a veg barrow? I think not. You heard everything.
Some of it. The word "assassination" was used once or twice. What are you getting into, Edgar?
Edgar: I told you. You know the sort of thing. Now, I'm off to get some food... but, er.... feel free to stick around town in case of trouble. Jut on the "off-chance" again, yeah?
*Edgar shambles off towards home, leaving me watching him go suspiciously.*

*Rob, who was still using the listen spell had had to cover up his face with a menu to diguise the look of pure horror on his face.* Rob: *to himself* This is not a good thing at all, assasins are very ruthless and i've heard tales of powerful mages murdered in their beds. These next 3 days are not going to be good.

*Later on that night when Sly has returned from the Wolf's Howl to do some pick pocketing Rob sneaks up behing him and smashes him over the head with his staff. As Sly is unconcious then Rob swaps the Red Dragon Caller with an exact replica (indistinguishable except to an assasin) and takes Sly's gold to make it look as if Sly has been mugged. He then takes the Red Dragon Caller and disposes of it.* Rob: The first of 3 nights I must survive, the assasins will be out in full fury. *As he utters these words then the female arsonist from the bar jumps through his window and fires a crossbow at him. It misses and Rob dives at her*
[OOC: Me and Bob are going out tonight but we will be on tomorrow!]

*The arsonist, codenamed Blackraven stumbles backwards and falls out of the window of Bob's marketside apartment. She lands in a trough of water and Bob makes his escape.* Blackraven: *Using a spell to communicate with Equaliser* He's escaped, but he is heading towards the Dunn forest.
