[OOC: Who? ] Looking back briefly, Wren caught the still frightened looks of their other rescuees. Something had been constantly nagging at him while he was riding, and seeing them again made those thoughts rise once more. Letting them go was all well and good, but what then? That didn't solve the problem as to why they were sentenced to death for clearly unjust reasons. But what could he do? Well, rather a lot actually. But his own sense of self preservation was trying to engulf such urges. If he did what he was thinking, then he would have absolutly nothing to show for the Shiek's job. Nothing at all. Well, that's not quite true, is it? said a voice inside him, and for the first time Wren felt the full weight of his friend on his shoulder. 'Midnight, take his weight. This won't take a second,' he said.

*She raises a eyebrow slightly looking over her shoulder a moment to follow Wrens gaze to the two almost stricken looking escapees before nodding her head slightly to Wren and moving behind him sliding in between him and Leytan to take Leytan's weight over her shoulder, one arm wrapping around his waist at the back and the other hand pressing firmly to try and stem the wound's bleeding.. Keeping her head lowered to the ground even if her face was hidden from view from the fabric wrapped around her head trying to avoid any attention beyond what they was already receiving.*
Are you sure this is a wise move to make? He is not the most unknown person especially around here. Perhaps we should just put him in the back of the cart and leave Wolfenden for a while rather than trying to tempt the fates....
*Her gaze going to Leytan a moment.*
Well even more than he already has, besides we have not exactly got anything to stay around here for you know.

*Leytan looked at Midnight.*
"I need my equipment as dose Wren. We still need to make a liveing after this is all over, and besides....."
*Looked away into the distance.*
"Something's telling me that there is a resson for going to the Howl."
*Just then the voice of Ebbira spoke again, but this time there was a trace of ammusment in it.*
"Hmmmm, Inteligence, compasion, loyalty, integrity and inner strenth and conviction. It seems those who dwell soley on land have come a long way in the last century. The bleeding will stop. My emmisery was never in any real danger, but the scare will remain untill Rhionnon is ready to forgive."
*With that the spectral sounds of the sea fadeded away and the profuse bleeding from Leytan's arm not only stoped but the blood that had before been staining his arm, the cart's floor and his and Midnight's cloths vanished. But an ugly scare remained on Leytan's arm.*
*Leytan flexed his arm and regarded the scare. Then he looked at Midnight.*
"I am sorry Midnight I never intended to offend you back there, you are right I am getting to use to being "The Ice Killer" as aposed to Leytan."
*He then looks back at the scare and can't help but laugh slightly.*
"I'm use to leaveing The Mark Of Leytan, strange being marked my self."

*As soon as she sees the wound seems to have healed she does not bother to continue to carry Leytan over her shoulder, barely moving a pace before releasing him whether he has balance or not. Her pace quickly picking up as she haded towards the Howl leaving the two behind while Wren went to handle Jake and Sindy.*
Well let us make this stop off as quickly as possible and continue on our ways before attention is attracted shall we.

*Sighs.* "I can only keep saying sorry Midnight. Unless you tell me how to make it up to you." *Turns to Wren.* "Finishes with your buissness here then follow me to the Howl we'll get your stuff and get out again FAST." *Adressing Sindy and Jake.* "Sindy, Jake it's been nice meeting you. Hopefully if we meet again it will be under less drastic and more plesurable circumstances." *Leytan then turns slides of the cart and makes his way quickly threw the crowd towards the Wolfs Howl the speed he moves at beytrays his inhuman abilitys.* (OOC: Continued for Leytan in "Renewing Old Aquaintences" in The Wolfs Howl Inn.)

He nods at Leytan, and watches him travel through the crowd at a speed which didn't suggest he had just recieved a crippling life-threatening injury. Shaking his head in agnostic disbelief, he turned back to Jake and Sindy.
'There's a boarding house on Clover street that's cheap and doesn't ask questions. Lay low for a week or two till this all blows over. What you do after that is up to you.'
Wren takes a deep breath and, opening his hand, reveals two of the rings he had palmed from the Shiek.
'This should get you on your way.'
Their eyes lit up in amazement at the sight of the glittering jewels. Jake opened his mouth but before he could utter a syllable, Wren had pushed the rings into his hand and had vanished into the crowd.

*Rhiannon stared after Leytan a moment as he walked off as nothing at all had happened in the last few minutes shaking her head slightly and letting out a quiet sigh, her eyes rolling in exasperation and she knew forgiveness was further from becoming real than she actual thought it was minutes ago. He may have said the right words but as normal he acted like the god he thought he may be becoming and the goddess he stated he worked for. The lesson it seemed to be shown as a futile one and Ebbira's effort ineffective on Leytan for his attitude had not truly changed despite his words.*
*She glanced over to Coriolis a moment before shaking her head slightly.*
The Wolf's Howl holds no need for me to be there, especially at the moment and would rather be else where.. I am going to head to wards the woodland area just out side of the north gate and keep a watch out after I have taken a quick tour of the city to see what news is going about if any.
*She was feeling her annoyance at Leytan's attitude and behavior growing and that if she followed him she would let it escape and at the moment that was the last thing they needed to draw more attention to them.*

*A simple nod of agreement from Her brother...* Aye. It's about time we did something toward the duty and actually observed history for once. *Not bothering much with subtlety, he could disappear quickly enough, the Watcher known as Coriolis returned to the sharpened comfort of the Tiger. As He speaks, a single claw is pointed upward...* I'll be around the usual places, somebodies gonna have to watch those 2 and make sure that Piscean scale-brain isn't going to bring yet more trouble on to us. You take care on the wander, hmm? Your cards been marked, literally... *The striped white fur fades almost transparent as Coriolis shackled his way up the corner of the nearest building and moved carefully across the thatchings. He was also heading for the Howl. He was intending to watch...* [OOC:- Coriolis effectively on the sidelines for a short time until Leytan and Wren are better equipped. PM me with a thread title if a faded White Tiger could make a plotline more interesting. ] [ModNote: Coriolis would next be seen here.]

*She nodded her head silently before shaking it slightly at her brother's lack of subtlety but quickly moved off into the crowd. Trying to blend in as much as possible with the people and creatures that had made Wolfenden home or were passing through for trade or travels. Her stomach rumbled quietly but she ignored it's small request for food just as she did the slight dryness of her throat for now. Planning to put off any purchases until she needed to or until she could find her own food without risk of being seen. She had no idea what news traveled like from one place to another but she felt it would not be too long. She still was not sure that she had been taken much notice of but perhaps so and she would be as wanted as Leytan and Wren certainly would be. Though the fact they had decided to stop here proved perhaps they had more bravery than actual sense.*
Her steps were quiet compared to those around her , drowning them out , she tried to surround herself in those taller than herself so she would be hidden by their height. After a while she paused once listening to a group of cackling women as she pretended to examine some herbs and what could be spices at a stall.*
'Ave ye all 'eard the news? The Ice Killer and 'is little companion are on the loose once again!
*She tilted her head to the side trying to listen as close as possible, while keeping her face hidden and her gaze as focused on the small boxes in front of her. She lifted a box up opening it slightly and bringing the gap to her nose inhaling the sweet smell of lavender leaves crushed into almost a powder.*
Was the little companion that rescued 'um so it is said. The guards at Warlock are going to be out looking for them for a while.
*She took a sigh of relief so far she had not been mentioned so perhaps she was going to be seen as a victim dragged into the trouble rather than a criminal.*
Though it is unsure why, not normally trust or bravery amongst theives , nor hero's is there? Though seem a young lassie was also involved , though there is the twist, seems she may not exactly be human. Not that, that is anything new....
*The womans voice started to grate against her nerves and she had to fight to keep herself in place, her hand tightening on the box slightly*

*Patrick the baker has wandered over to the stall, which is located on the edge of the marketplace, where it meets the rest of Wolfenden.* [OOC: As a way of explaining why this isn't currently taking place in the Marketplace section. ] Patrick: 'Allo, love. Got any thyme for me? *Winks* Stallholder: Gerroff! That joke ain't funny no more. Patrick: Ah, so it was once! Anyways, what were you ladies saying 'bout the Ice Killer? *The women repeat what they were saying.* Patrick: Now how in the hills could you know that? It's too soon for any news to get here from Warlock. Maybe in a few hours but not yet. If some fugitives were to ride out of Warlock at the break of day at breakneck speed, then maybe they could have just got here by now. But let's say Leytan and his crew did fleetfoot it from there to here, to lay low or somesuch. Why would they spread news of their escape, and risk being found? Dear oh dear, you gossips will lap up anything, whether it makes sense or not!

((OOC: As I planned not to make many posts about it did not want to make one thread for just a couple of posts if that So filled most of it into one post .)) *Rhiannon snorted slightly though covered her mouth with her hand and dulled the sound out pretending that if any one had heard that she had inhaled something from the herbs and choked slightly. She looked out from under the stall covering and up to the sky as the sun moved to sink down as the afternoon moved on. It was more than possibly for someone to have brought some news here. News would of been spread as fast as possible for hope of Leytan to be caught once again and though normally she was one to point out some ones errors she kept her mouth shut while the women looked at the man that had approached them.* It just shows what you think you know dear lad. News especially exciting news travels thick and fast like fires in summer, wild and chaotic and was not 'eard from them, perhaps you should listen more closely before opening your mouth and saying those thoughts that come to your wee mind. *The possible squabbling that was about to come already tired Rhiannon and she quickly put the small box in place and walked off into the crowds once again leaving the stalls. Her stomach churning slightly though if not everyone believed that was going to help them.*

[OOC: It's OK, I guessed that that was the reason. If it is late in the afternoon, then a messenger, some way behind the fugitives, would indeed have reached Wolfenden from Warlock by now. But it was midday when this thread started, and I didn't see any remarks to indicate a jump of hours between the gang's arrival and Rhiannon visiting the herb stall. Hence Patrick's scepticism and reasoning. (He doesn't know about Shadow Voice's magically-speeded errand across the realm, and probably wouldn't believe it anyway.)] *Patrick calls after the stranger.* Patrick: You want to believe these tittle-tattlers over me, so be it. But there's no need to be rude. And as for talking in metaphors and similes, news travelling thick and fast like fire, that's all very pretty but it don't actually mean anything! *Rolls his eyes. To the stallholder* And I thought lavender was supposed to calm people down. Stallholder: Enough stirring from you. Now be off. Patrick: You will not give me your precious thyme? *Winks again* Stallholder: Take 'thy' somewhere else, and 'me' stays here. *Getting nowhere with his flirtation, Patrick wanders away from the stall.*

*She casually wandered around the village for a few hours, partly to let her stomach ry and settle and to cool the warring emotions inside of her though she knew eventually she would have to find the others for now she appreciated being surrounded by people but on her own at the same time.*
*Some had heard the news, some had not, some had heard amazing tales and some had invented them. By the time she headed towards the North gate she had heard so many tales she felt like her head was spinning, slowly the sun began to set and then disappear entirely as the moon rose and she strayed a little way into the wood lands, just of the path but close enough to keep a eye on the road and gate for any that came looking. She knew at least one of them had to try and watch out for any trouble as Leytan seemed hell bent on leading them into as much as possible.*

*Rhiannon jumped with a slight start almost falling from a branch she had briefly fallen asleep on into a brief cat nap. Her hands reaching down to grab the branch she sat on to prevent herself from actually falling. Once her balance had been regained, she lifted on hand up easing it's grip on the branch to lift her hand up to her eyes and rubbing the sleep from them, giving out a quiet yawn with a faint purring sound she leaned back against the tree.* *For the first time since she woke she looked up through the branches to the dark night sky, her gaze falling on the moon and it's angle. She looked around below her and then lifted her head back wards tilting it so her noe raised slightly higher into the air, taking a deep breath and then another, a frown crossed her face when no familiar scent was found bar what clung to her clothes.* *Neither Leytan, Coriolis nor Wren had been passed and it was long since she thought she should of done. They were not meant to take this long and worry and panic began to set into ehr mind even as she physically stayed still trying not to fidget at all, her gaze came back to the path into Wolfenden and then away from it and she took a deep breath before swinging one leg over and jumping down to the ground almost silently just a thud being heard as her feet made contact with the ground.* *She wraps her arms around her stomach, her hands going to her sides as she walked around the large tree a couple of times, clearing her brain from sleep numbness and mentally telling herself off for falling asleep when she had meant to be keeping a eye open for anyone that could possibly bring a risk to them. Though she also knew Leytan and Coriolis enough that they were the ones more likely to bring trouble onto themselves than any one else could possibly manage.* *Taking another deep breath she started to walk back towards the village of Wolfenden though she also wanted to wait a bit longer but now was not the time that patience could be used when they could all very easily be in danger.* *It was at this point as Rhiannon starts to walk towards the gate that she gets a rude awakening, there is a momentary feeling of air rushing, something sounding like a tree falling and then a great deal of pain and a rather lovely dusky sky that appears through the branches of the trees she is now looking through as pain throbs along from her head to her feet and she slowly sits up before muttering angrily about false wakings. A thin dirt cloud slowly settles around and on her as she rubs along her body feeling for any possible cuts or severe bruising along her arms and legs. Finding none she slowly stands up and begins to look around her gaze coming to the slowly darkening sky of the settling sun. before deciding to follw the foot steps of her dream, admittedly her feet shifted slowly and as lightly as possible as first as she began to wander towards the gate.* *It was as she neared the gates and was almost through that her necklace started to become erratic with colours, changing from blue to orange to green to red and on and on. She quickly hid the gem under her clothing as she began a hurried pace search for her trouble hunting brother.* [ModNote: Continued in Renewing Old Acquaintances.]

[OOC: There's something of a continuity error with Midnight having spent an entire day wandering around, out of and back into Wolfenden, now that she is about to meet up with others (in 'Renewing Old Acquaintances') for whom it is late afternoon at the latest. Perhaps a bit of editing of this thread is in order to remedy that. Or, I suppose, we could just ignore it. Maybe she dreamt the sunset and the moon... ]
