[ModNote: Continued from Robbery.] *Walking through the streets, Phinehas senses some commotion coming from a building that is a tavern, according to the sign. He decides to see what's going on and stands in the darkness of the doorway listening to the chit-chat before he decides that these people aren't dangerous to him. Even so, his natural desire for stealth forces him to creep in slowly and he is already standing by the three mages before anyone notices his approach.*

*RMR notices first, his connection with the earth means he hears Phinehas before anyone else sees him, he speaks, causing the others to look around for who he's speaking to. They see Phinehas*
"What're you doing, sneaking up on a group of 3 mages & 2 watchers isn't a wise decisions even for someone highly skilled."
*RMR wheels around, his arms in the position to cast a fireball should it be an enemy, but making sure that a fireball doesn't appear in his hands until he's found out who it is. He sees the cloaked person, not someone he recognises. He keeps his arms in the position, but not too obviously.*
"Who are you? Pardon me if it's someone I know but cloaked people aren't exactly in short supply around here."

*Phinehas shrugs, but keeps his hood on.*
No, you don't know me. As for sneaking up on you, it's not my fault you're not aware of your surroundings, I didn't have to make you aware of my presence at all, you know.
*Phinehas glances at the mage's hands.*
You can put your hands down now, if I was going to harm you, I would have done it before you were aware of my presence.

*RMR is slightly irritated by this man's arrogance and his ignorance, but the events of seeing Tom have cheered him up too much to get angry, he lowers his hands.
"Very well, what brings you here, if you wish us no harm are you here to aid us? Help it seems would be appreciated, especially after this 'Alzan Assassin'.
*Continuing as if he had not been interrupted* Anyway Midnight, as for your question I have no texts, all I know is what I have learned from my many years. There's not many realms I haven't heard of, if any, and all those I know of I can recognise the languages of and probably a few features. Arios is one that's noted for the murder of the Watchers many years ago, it's in a pretty dark state now from the lore I have heard, but very few people have ever been there it seems."

*Phinehas figures that the man doesn't really care if he answers, but he might as well anyway.*
Help? That depends, I have no idea what any of these things you are talking about are, and I don't know you, but if it turns out that you could use my help, and are nice people, I don't see why not. To that end...
*Phinehas removes his hood.*
You can see me for what I am. A Night Elf. Of royal lineage, so although I may seem arrogant, the boasts are not unsubstantiated.

*Midnight frowns at what RMR says. It appeared as if all their tracks were cut off before even starting. It wasn't only that, that bothered her. The man called Tom bothered her. Or not him personally but something about him nagged at her. It was driving her to distraction trying to work it out. She knew they had met before and by a road but that was it.It was annoying her, like a itch she couldn't reach. She was finding it hard enough to concentrate on things as they were her minf kept going off on it's own. When Phinehas arrived she hadn't even cared. She felt safe here. With four men, two who had magic and one the ability of the Watchers. Even when he was lost to his teachings and another unknown to her as yet.*
*This sitting and watching began to drive her mad. Her body was tired yet her mind raced. She decided she needed to know more about this Tom person before she went nuts. Getting up she walks over to him.*
May I have a word?

*RMR hasn't encountered a night elf for many years, and he hasn't encountered a night elf of royal blood for over a century. He knows that that they demand respect and are highly skilled, he decides this elf could be of great use to them.*
"I see, Very impressive, the night elves are indeed an honourable and noble race. For one of royal blood you must have that trait in great amounts, you may or may not have heard of me. I am Ringmasterrob, the former archmage and 'hero' of the Netherworlds, though these days simply Rob or RMR suffices. We are indeed good and nice people, and we could certainly use some help."

*Tom who was still scowling at the Teleport controle looked at Midnight And smiled a curtius smile.*
"But of corse my dear."
"A public one or a private one?"

*Midnight briefly glances at the crowd and decides a private one will be best.*
A private one please.
*She felt a pair of angry eyes bore into the back of her head. Turning round she realises that the angry feel comes from Coriolis. Thier connection maybe lost but he certainly knew how to get his feelings across to her at times. She couldn't tell him that she had to do this, not without telling the others at the same time. She would have to tell him when they had time alone. Now was too public and she felt that a arguement would begin between the two and from what she remembered when they rowed it wasn't a pretty sight.*

"Certainly my dear." *Tom and Midnight step outside of The Inn and into the allyway which thanks to the growing bushes is now cut off so no one else can intrude on this conversation.* "Now then Midnight. What do you want to talk about?" (OOC: Continued in A Road To No Where)

*Phinehas smiles and takes a seat. His face lights up as he commences on his favorite topic....*
I'm glad that you understand our race. You see, I realize myself that I seem arrogant to most, but the fact is, I am the best. My ancestors on my mother is a princess in the clan Orgalion, who have long held the secrets to the magical side of stealth , and my father is king of the Malniot clan, who have always been the best at stealth in the known world, even better, it is said, than ghosts. You seem to know something about our kind, and so must realize that our royalty are those who are, and whose ancestors were, the best in stealth. So, with this mergence of the two clans, and I being the only offspring of my parents, you can see how it has all converged to make me the single stealthiest being, most likely in the world. I have not taken this gift for granted, but have trained till now to hone my skills to perfection....
*It dawns on Phinehas that this may not be so fascinating to someone who does not share his passion.*
Anyway, you can see why my boasts are not light-hearted.

*RMR was listening, he was interested in Phinehas' history, from what he knew of Night elf clans then the fellow in front of him probably wasn't light-hearted with his boasts at all, a useful allie. No doubt a fellow that the inquisition wouldn't get on with and therefore someone who he could probably befriend. He speaks when Phinehas is done*
"Very interesting history you have, I could tell you mine but we'd be here for a long, long time. All I think we need to agree on for the moment is that we're all interested in helping each other, especially if there's an Alzan assassin, a murderous shadow, a mysterious evil type fellow name 'Hakonatu' and an inquisition in town.
Also we can agree that together we'd make a formidable team, 3 mages, 2 watchers and a night elf of royal blood, and of course a familiar. I don't think even that Locksley fellow would want too much to do with such a grouping. So then, will you aid us... ah yes, you never told me your name, obviously your real name you probably wish to be secret but an alias or nickname would be fine."
*RMR extends his hand to shake hands with Phinehas*

[OOC: Gosh! So much happens when you go away for a day!]
*Zeph was slightly miffed that Tom Troughton didn't even acknowledge his presence, but is glad at least that the Ringmaster accepts him as one of his mages. Diana is also rather pleased to get a mention, and waves her wings appreciatively.*
*Caught up in his own thoughts, Zeph doesn't notice the arrival of Phinehas until he has already revealed himself for quite some time, and then listens with great interest to his noble lineage*
[OOC: After Phinehas tells his tale]
I say, quite amazin' wot! D'you like bein' called Your Highness? I don't m'self, but I admit I used t'be... After all if we're havin' a bit of a boast *Zeph grins* Must point out that the mater is the Sunwarden of Gates-of-the-Moon... t'be honest, rather took to magin' as a way of gettin' rid of all that court life, and t'channel the chaos energy...
*Most travellers have heard of the city-state of Gates-of-the-Moon, a vast and beutiful city, rumoured to hold gateways to other worlds, and even other states of being. The Sunwarden, Lunaria Solaris, holds the title Warden but is essentially Queen. Despite its apparently peaceful nature it is well fortified, and the rumours are that the mountain on which it is perched has some rather nasty secrets...*
...Never sure if it's a blessin' or a curse o'lineage, the tendency t'develop Wild Magic Syndrome must have lain dormant for centuries... that's the problem with lineage, y'never know what you're goin' to get!
*Listens intently to the rest of the speech, and is heartily reaching forward to add his congratulations to the formation of an alliance... when he stops*
Um, just a moment....
*The change in the tone of his voice is remarkable, suddenly he seems unsure... frightened in a way which he never was when facing the Alzan Assasin...*
I say, I may have misheard but.... did you say Locksley? That is, Edmund Locksley?
*Perhaps it is his WMS again, but Zeph has gone very pale indeed*

*RMR keeps his hand extended for Phinehas, but judging by the colour Zeph has just turned he decides it would be best to answer this question quickly.*
"Yes, Edmund Locksley is his name I believe, 'Sir' even. He's leading the inqusition that's been ordered around here, his second in command is a woman with red hair and I know that one of the guards in the guardhouse, Hobb, is impressing him a lot. He seems like a nasty piece of work to me but I've decided to avoid unneeded trouble with that man. I think, by your new skin colour you know him already?"

Um.... y'could say that...
Enough said that I've been tryin' to avoid him for a while. We don't get on, and we were rather stuck with each other for a while...
Y'see, we share somethin' rather important t'us both....
A mother...
