*Zyssa, her hands aquiver at the man with the quiver, spills some of the drink she is carrying. Slevela frowns, and glares at Robin.*
Slevela: Now how's about you spill something? Namely, the proverbial beans.

*Robin recoils slightly as he feels something lightly brush his back, but he doesn't avert his gaze from Zyssa for a while, before returning his gaze to Slevela. Realising he's still frowning, he loosens the muscles pulling his eyebrows down.*
Unless you can vouch for that woman's identity, miss, then I have reason to believe I know who she is. In fact, even if you can do so, my point would still stand...
*His right fingers flex. So many swordfights have started with this sort of thing. But, as he reminds himself, he's in a bar having a suspicious conversation. Still, everyone is quiet and all eyes are looking at him... so it's not unusual that he is uneasy.*

Slevela: What do you mean "identity"? Her name's Zyssa and she serves drinks. What more identity is a barmaid s'posed to have?
Zyssa: *Muttering to herself* I tried to make a new start. I never thought I'd see him again...

*Bending down towards Malark, Callimpsest speaks softly to him.*
Now, don't get angry. Be a good boy, or the lady might tell us to leave. We'll find out what all this is about soon enough.

*Zeytan taps Malark on the shell.*
"Malark I know your fond of the young lady but this is not your fight or buissnes."
*Malark looks back up at Zeytan and blows some red and orange bubbles.*
"Yes he was rather rude in how he addressed her I grant you, but you were no better in throwing that trecale at him. Just wait and see what happans."

*Robin breathes heavily. He's not sure who to address... Slevela, Zyssa, or the collection of people at the table to his left. He compensates by inspecting the floor.*
A drink-server she may be. At least, now. But she has a secret past, in which she was more into serving meat...
*He looks directly at Zyssa.*
Is that not right, Zyssa Silverdale?

*Zyssa says nothing.*
Random Punter: So she worked in a butcher's, what of it? *To Zyssa* It's nothing to be ashamed of, love.

*Zeytan himself is starting to get a little annoyed due to a combination of guilt for causing this whole scene and also becasue, like his half-brother, Zeytan can't stand to see a women harassed. He clears his throat stands up starit so as to reach his full hight and adresses Robin.*
* He tries to keep his voice polite and none confruntational but also alows for a athorative tone to enter. It is the same kind of voice he used to use to put un-ruley pupils in thier place.*
"My good Man, you are causing quite the scene here and as have yet provided no clear justification for doing so. You have how ever provided the staff here with clear and proper justification for removeing you from this establishment post haste."
"They are being most pachient with you. Now if you have some grievence with Miss Zyssa then speak it clearly and not in this mannor of ansrewing questions with questions. That manor of speach more becomes a wall or door monster then a human."
"And if I may also say that what ever this grievence you may hold I can assure you sir that you have not shown your self in a very good light here by your mannors and actions. In fact you have come across more as a bully then a gentelemen. Now kindly say your peice and then stop harrasing the young lady and let her get on with her work. What ever her past mistakes or transgresses she like everyone is entiteled to a second chance."

*Phoenixflame has been listening quietly all this time with a slight frown on her face.*
"Perhaps you could tell us what she has done? I agree with Zeytan, that a person's past should not be held against them. People do change over time..."
*Phoenixflame looks calmly at Robin, and Morwena hovers beside her*

Okay.
*Robin sighs. He turns and looks at the group of customers, still unsure as to whether to stand or sit. He conpensates by hovering.*
I'm sorry. Look, people, this... this lady... Zyssa Silverdale... well...
*He plunders the depths of his brain.*
There was this... there was a Greenwarden. She started taking bribes from men who wanted to get away with hunting. It's banned in the woods, you know. Deer and horses... and even the mythical unicorn, some claim they've seen it, but I digress... She was eventually exposed, dismissed from the Greenwardens, and, last I heard, she has been trying to put that life behind her - although I was never sure she had leave the Knightmare surrounds... well...
*He points over his back at the spot where he's sure Zyssa is.*
...that's her. And I'm sure of that.

*Zeytan rolls his eyes, he didn't meen to but he was esasperated with this whole situation the resson for which Robin had just given didn't, in his mind, merit it for one second. All though he would never admit to it he did share some of his half-brothers "moralistic" leanings on certain issues and hunting was one them.*
*Plus Atlanteeans had never had much time or love for The Greenwardens as after the fall of Atlantis and the mass exodus to the Knightmare realm by the survivors the Greenwardens had put a very strict and conditional strutcure on their fishing in the ponds in the woods which had resulted in some familys starveing so there was bad blood between the two.*
*He gives Robin a hard and withering stare and then says in a voice laced with both exapserashion and restrained anger.*
"Sir may I just say that you are fortunate that it is me and not my half-brother Leytan who is standing here as he would most likely by now have made you wish you'd have held your toung and not harrased the young lady, I'd have been shocked if he hadn't broken your jaw or some other bone."
"As he used to say"
"The Greenwarden is the worst of all th so called law enforcers, while a Justice of The Peace may be corupte he oftern still maintains some sembelence of comman sence and compasion for his fellow men."
"Where as a Greenwarden has no comman sence or comapsion for their fellow men unless their corupte and their for the best Greenwardens are ALWAYS the corupte ones as the "honest" ones can't see the wood for the trees."
"By which he meens sir that the Greenwardens on the whole can't see the need for some messure of hunting and would rather see a fellow man and his family starve then one animal killed to feed them. "
"And he may I add is by far one of the most commited people to preserving the balance of nature that I have ever met. As for the current situation, in my oppinion sir you have created a scene for no real resson, embarsed the young lady and made yourself look both a fool and a bully in the process."
*he turns to Zyssa.*
"My dear, i personaly think you have done nothing worng and have no need to be ashamed, but if this Person."
*indicates Robin with a wave of his hand as if he was simply swating away a fly.*
"Should cost you your job here rest asured I will get you one at The Wolfs Howl Inn I have become very freindly with the owner."

*Phoenixflame looks calmly at Robin and Zeytan*
"Though I've never had dealings with the Greenwardens, I must admit, it sems to me like she has paid for her crimes, after all, she has been dismissed from your service, and by all accounts seems to be making a life for herself earning an honest wage. Though I cannot condone her actions if what you say is true, it looks to me like she is attempting to put the past behind her... Perhaps she should be given the chance to do that?"
*Phoenixflame smiles gently as she says this*

Zyssa: No, no. You were right. I did wrong, and then I tried to hide from it. A dressing-down in public from the man who found me out is the least I deserve.
I wasn't like the other Greenwardens. I tried to be, but I wasn't. Gwendoline, Gretel... even my name didn't seem to fit. The others, they were happy with crap wages and Mother Nature's unspoken thanks. I wanted more. So I let people pay me so they could hunt. I didn't care why, there weren't no morals involved. All that silver and gold - that's real gratitude, gratitude you can do something with. And even when I did realise it was wrong, I couldn't stop.
So here I am, everyone. I tried to start again, from nothing. I tried to leave it all behind. But maybe I didn't deserve to.
Slevela: Alright, enough. Go to the back, Zyssa. Owen will deal with you when he gets back. *Mutters* Silly cow.
*Zyssa heads to the back room. The piper is playing Evil Woman, and there are murmurings among the punters.*
Random Punter to his friend: There were clues, you know. That she 'ad a dark secret. I was following 'em, but I thought she was an ex-prostitute.
*Slevela leans across the bar and looks at Zeytan.*
Slevela: Sir. I'd thank you not to pass on threats from the Ice Killer. You may be mourning his passing today, but there are many in this room who are toasting it.
You're blooming right, there has been a scene, but it's as much Zyssa's fault for keeping her secret as it is this woodcrafter's, who did seem to enjoy humiliating her a bit too much. And your speech didn't help. Just because she brought you a drink once, don't mean you know her!
Now if you'd all calm down, and sit down, you can have yourselves a drink. That is why you came here, isn't it?
*To Robin* Sir, my mind-reading skills aren't what they were. If you want a drink, you'll have to be a bit less unspecific and tell me what.

*Quietly, to Zeytan* Zeytan, if I may say so, I think you were a little hard on the forester. If you entered a tavern for a quiet beverage, and came face to face with someone who was an unpunished criminal in your eyes, you might react strongly too. We may not know this chap, but he is, if nothing else, a friend of a friend. I'm sure you'd agree that Young Grimwold would not associate himself with "a fool and a bully".
We're blocking the doorway. We should indeed be seated.
*Callimpsest walks over to a vacant table, hoping that Zeytan and the others are still in the mood to drink here.*
