[ModNote: Continued from The Guardhouse. The poster has been renamed from 'ringmasterrob' to reduce confusion.] *Dreevis takes her time unpacking, when she is sure that the house is suitably arranging and homely she locks it up. She puts heavy bolts onto the door and secures all the windows, as well as leaving a few 'surprises' for any would be intruder, standard inquisiton practice. After this she has a quick evening meal and then decides to go to bed, it has been a long day but in the inquistion every day is long, still slightly unnerved by what Edmund said she goes to sleep.*

[ModNote: Phinehas was last seen at The Guardhouse.] *Phinehas followed Dreevis home and watches her secure the house. He chuckles to himself.* She's thorough allright, but it's going to take more than that...*Having seen the light go out in her room, Phinehas eases himself off the roof he'd been using as a stakeout and creeps across the road. Sliding his dagger out, he carefully slices the wood around a window frame and removes it, glass and all. It was one of his cruder tricks, but for once he didn't care if anyone found out how he got in. The shutters on the inside of the windows was a little more difficult, but using the same trick, and a lot of patience, he slowly, painstakingly cut all the way through the wood around the bolt and then removed the piece of wood, bolt and all. He made a mental note to re-sharpen his dagger after tonight's work. Perched on the window sill he surveyed the room and decided that, although it looked harmless, he better stay on the safe side. These Inquisitors were unimaginative, but ruthless in their security. From what he'd seen and heard, they wouldn't be likely to be unguarded. He slowly raised himself into a standing position and leaped across to a table in the middle of the room. He stopped for a second to gather his thoughts and realized that his target was in the next room, behind a locked door. Still wary of touch the floor, he grabbed two chairs and, standing on one, he put the other before him, stepped on it, and repeated the process till he reached the door. It took him a good five minutes, but he preferred being patient to getting caught. The lock on the door was simple, if heavy, and after oiling it, it took him another 5 minutes to unlock it. He took it careful and slow and was careful not to let it click loudly when he unlocked it. He oiled the hinges as well. He'd had friends who'd almost gotten caught because of a creaking door. He then lowered himself to the floor and crept across to the bed where he could see the form of the sleeping Inquisitor. When he reached it, he stood over her for a few minutes in admiration. She was quite a striking figure laying there asleep with her fiery red hair spread across the pillows. It was a shame that she hadn't given him the information earlier, he thought. He didn't relish the idea of startling her, but it had to be done. Careful to make sure that his cloak was still covering his body and his hood shadowed his face, he withdrew his dagger and pressed it gently to her neck.* Remember me?

*She almost jumps up with a start, she wasn't having a good dream and it seems the nightmare has continued into her waking hours.*
"If only I could forget, you no doubt think that killing me is going to help you, let me guess, it was you carrying out these killings all along?"

*A chuckle is emitted from the dark hood.*
Oh no, not at all. Why would I possibly want to kill a bunch of people? I've merely come for the information that I had requested earlier today. You can still make me grateful by giving me the information I need without a fuss. I'd really prefer not to make you.

*Dreevis remains firm, she had never been intimidated by a male before and she certainly isn't going to be now*
"You would want to kill a 'bunch of people' because you seem to be a psychopath who will stop at nothing to get his way, feel free to try and 'make' me but you'll get nothing out of this but a high bounty upon your head."
*She looks up at him, she cannot see under the hood but if he can see her he'll be able to tell how stubborn she really is.*

Psychopath, eh? That's a new one. Usually people go for something more along the lines of "dirty, thievin' rascal".
Not that I care what you think, but I didn't kill the people, although I did watch while two of your guards got killed.
So, you don't want to play nice, eh? Shame, I can be a valuable ally. Well, let's do this the hard way. Get up, we're going for a little walk.

*She is reluctant to get up as she is wearing slightly unflattering attire, a white nightgown, however seeing no choice she gets out of bed and standsm, but turns and gives him a most evil stare.*
"I'm sure you could be a valuable ally if I was looking for someone to play dirty and use underhanded tricks, however I prefer to do things by the rules. Where are you going, you 'dirty, thievin' rascal'? "

*Phinehas chuckles at the sarcasm. He looks at her nightgown.*
Now now, I'll remind you that I gave you every opportunity to answer my questions nicely like I asked you to.
We're going to the guardhouse on the off chance that we find someone less stubborn there.
Lead the way, I'm sure you'll understand if I keep my dagger at your throat. Can't have you running off or screaming or anything.

*She looks down at her fairly revealing nightgown and then back up to Phineas*
"You can't possibly expect me to go to the guardhouse 'dressed' like this can you?"

*Phinehas grins and shrugs.*
Or you could answer my questions here.
OOC: Congratulations, you are the millionth person to mispel my name. ;D

*She gives him another scowl, quite clearly having a bit of a dilemma, but decides that she cannot give it so easily. Edmund would probably sack her for doing so, 'showing weakness' he would call it.*
"Listen to me, whoever you are, I am not going to be so easily tricked, I have my principles and I will not waiver. If you insist on mistreating anyone who will not give you your way then you're nothing more than a big child and I have pity for you. Do what you feel you must."

*For a second Phinehas almost considers slicing the nightgown just to get things over with faster, but decides against it.*
A big baby, eh? That was original. I don't see what's so hard about a little information. Really, it's not like anyone would find out, and it's not like I'm going to do anything dastardly, well, I may... but that's beside the point.
Shall we?

*She sighs deeply, and walks in front of him, opening her bedroom door. However in the hand movement to do so she flicks her wrists and pulls a small and well hidden dagger from under the nightgown. Phinehas doesn't see this just yet and she speaks in a bored tone.*
"Me first or you?"

*His one word statement proves to her that he hasn't detected what she has done, it would be impossible, Edmund said he though this person was an elf but even elves can't see through a person, they have good vision though so she makes sure that in walking through the bedroom door and into the landing that the dagger does not once come into his line of sight.*
