*Marcus didn't argue or protest he simply walked towards the door he only stoped once beside Catherine looked at her and said simply.* "I love you Catherine and that is no lie. When you are finished with that delivery at least do me the service of allowing me to present my side of it to you." *Then he walked out of the shop.* [ModNote: Continued in The Affairs & Intrigues of the Estate.]

*She closed the door sharply, almost slamming it causing the small glass and almost clean window to shake slightly in it's frame and shaking her head as she locked the door. Her hand pulling down the curtains and blocking out any light at all as she took a deep breath.* *Her hand reached down for the letter in her pocket, her fingers shaking slightly as she felt the cool, rough paper against her skin and could smell the faint hint of smoke on it. She closed her eyes and lowered her head a moment as she took in another deep breath, despite her attempts to try and clean Marcus of everything that the letter may possibly hold, she knew she could not due to how he had reacted to it's arrival and his behaviour through out the visit.* *Walking slowly through the darkened store she reached the steps and walked up to her small living area. Quickly going to the bed and laying down pulling the cover over her to block out the sun light, her eyes closing to try and block out everything. Though the window let the noise of the town seep through to her ears. She let herself fall asleep the envelope still in hand.* [ModNote: Continued in Blackmail in The Mail.]
