[ModNote: Continued from A Place To Stay.] *Charles surveys the finished Wolf's Howl, the builders have rushed to get finished but finally everything is how he envisioned it. The staff are all lined up in front of him, including Midnight whose services will at last be needed.* "Now, later this evening all the guests shall be arriving. You all have new clothes to wear for this occasion *some excited muttering from the staff* so please look after them. It will be your job to make sure the guests are happy and behaving themselves the whole time, if someone harasses or offends you come and find me or one of my bodyguards and we will sort things out. The boy should be back soon from delivering the invititations" *Charles paces for a few moments, he checks on the kitchen and is pleased to see the food is getting along quickly. This evening the fun really would begin, perhaps he could finally settle down here.* "Oh yes, if you see any opposition minions or suspicious types in here then again come and find me and we'll put them out on their ear. If you all do a good job there's a large paycheck in it for everyone, lets get things started with a big bang!" *Charles returns to his office to prepare for the evening's opening bash* [OOC: Anyone who wishes to come to the party is welcome to, you can do some RP about your character recieveing invitation ot just turn up. Any known opposition minions (e.g. Frightknight, Sly Hands, Lord Fear) will be turfed out but those not known as opposition (e.g. Brinkatore) are welcome.]

*The evening falls after so much preperation, Charles is becoming more anxious as the first guests are shown in. The guests are amazed at the wonderful decor, the rare silks that now drape the walls are like none they have seen before. The tables are made from a wood only found in far away lands. Above the bar sits a rifle, an exact copy of the arquebusier Charles uses, along with it are several trophies of past exploits. There are strange maps & charts decorating the walls and the bar has gold fixings on it & there are many exotic plants around the bar. The menus have changed from common ales & local meat to fine drinks and spices, meats, fruits & other delicacies seldom found in villages such as Wolfenden*
Charles: "Welcome, ladies & gentlemen, to the Wolf's Howl Inn. Though many of you will have been here before no doubt then I would be surprised if you can recognise the place now. As of tomorrow all our refurbished rooms are open again for business and the bar & restaurant are always open for those with the gold to pay for it. However this evening your meals and drinks are on the house, please celebrate with me this new beginning for Wolfenden. This inn may yet bring many more businessmen to dine in your village. For now though eat, drink & be merry!"
*Charles sits in a throne-like armchair, one of the serving girls hands him a golden goblet, no doubt filled with a rare wine, and he raises it to all who enter, wishing each person will in turn. Many people take their seats at dining tables, some head straight for the bar, others chat with friends, some simple stand awe-struck for a few minutes taking in the surroundings. One thing Charles notices, with a wry smile, is that with all food and drink on the house several guests are likely to eat and drink more tonight than ever again. Still things do not matter, perhaps after so long then Wolfenden can become a home for him at long last. Charles gives a sigh of happiness as the celebrations continue*
[OOC: Remember, Anyone who wishes to come to the party is welcome to, you can do some RP about your character recieveing invitation ot just turn up. Any known opposition minions (e.g. Frightknight, Sly Hands, Lord Fear) will be turfed out but those not known as opposition (e.g. Brinkatore) are welcome. However the plot will progress fairly soon so don't arrive too late!]

*Outside the inn, to the side of it, leaning against a dark side wall is a figure. Several guests notice the figure but few pay it any interest. One man is tempted to go an question his presence but notices he is smoking a pipe. Assuming he has left the party to smoke, the man leaves the figure to his peace. However the figure has not entered the party, nor does it intend to enter the party, not by the front door certainly.
After the man who decided not to question the figure has left, no more guests even see the figure, apart from one woman who sees piercing eyes from the alley and leaps with fright. When she looks back however nothing is there and she forgets all about those eyes once she is inside having fun.
The figure stays entirely hidden, waiting for his chance, soon it would come. The guests continue to shuffle in, unaware of the danger lurking in the shadows.*
[OOC: I would prefer if no PC guests coming to the party tried to notice the figure as it is well hidden]

[ModNote: Continued from A Place To Stay.] *Midnight slowly walks down the stairs in the out fit that arrived for her to wear for the opening. The dress is a very dark blue fabric that would take her forever to get the money together herself to get it. The dress is short and rather revealing.* *Thinks* This is not good. I don't like dresses give me my normal out fit any day. At least that's practical and warm. *As Midnight gets to the bar and gets to work she suddenly pauses... something was happening. She didn't know what or why she knew something was happening but she knew something was happening some where.* *Mutter's underbreath* What now??

[OOC: Arriving from DunnFalls.] *The day has been a long and frustrating one. Several times, the trail that Coriolis had followed dried up or had been obliterated by the trampling feet of local people going about their business. He's been left with the most basic of trails to follow...Scent.* *Morphed as the tiger, He has spent the last few hours tracking the ultra-sweet scent of the little Moogles bag of Kupo-nuts. His mind becoming numb by the overpowering 'cuteness' of it all...* [To himself] I must remember this as a good scent for interrogation purposes... Any more than a few hours will drive your average miscreant insane! *The scent path appears to lead into the "Wolfs Howl" Inn. From the outside, an opulent gathering of people sems to be taking place.* *Still as the Tiger, He heads for the open doorway at the front. A subtle but nonetheless sudden change occurs in the atmosphere of the room. The locals don't seem to be used to having 100kgs of Hunting Cat prowling around the room...* *He spots Rhiannon almost immediately, Her half-dressed presence lined up along one wall along with a horde of people in an identical, close-fitting, blue.* ....... [Thinking to himself] Oh how the mighty have fallen! A night-time warrior is what you were trained for but this attire is more fitting for a "lady of the night"... *Before he has the chance to move any closer, a burly man grabs the cat by the scruff of the neck and lifts him bodily off of the floor. With a cry of "NO PETS!" ringing in his ears. Coriolis finds himself flying back out of the front door to land in a crumpled heap several Yards further up the street.*

*As the many serving staff, in their dark blue dresses & tuxedos, mill around the inn serving drinks and food to the guests, some are on the door checking invites, some are using some strange, probably foreign, instruments on a small stage at one end of the main room to entertain guests. Many people are now dancing to the tune they have going. As more food and drinks are served the atmosphere is more merry & carefree. Charles looks pleased things are going so well. The arrival of the large cat does not seem to worry him much, quickly one of the larger barmen picks it up and takes it outside, a little more roughly than Charles would have prefered but the atmosphere settles once more.*

*Midnight had seen the tiger enter and her necklace had given of a flash of blue but before she could even react the security had thrown the tiger out.*
*Mutter's* Don't need two guesses for who that was. Well he's a better tracker than I thought.
Thinks* Well you didn't exactly make it difficult for him either did you?? Nope you didn't.
*Mutter's* Well he's gone now anyway so no need to worry. Is there??
*Just as Midnight mutters that to herself the feeling she felt back at Dunnfalls when the shape-shifter first showed up returns...*

*Collecting bruises seems to have become a habit for the 'Tiger-bound-for-Rome', Several more have now been added to the already impressive display...* If THAT'S how you wanna play...... SPELLCASTING F-A-D-E *The Tiger instantly disappears and a small trail of paw-prints wend their way back towards the open door.* [To himself] It's going to take more than a Gorilla in a Man suit to stop destiny..... *He re-enters the party and makes a bee-line for Rhiannon. He get's beside her just as she is serving drinks to a particularly wealthy older couple.* May I request a quiet word with you my fair maid....?

*Midnight hears the voice and practically jumps out of her skin. Trying to keep calm and not look as if she has gone insane in front of the wealthy couple. Who have taken a interest in her glowing jewel.*
Man: How come your jewel glows like that Miss.??
Midnight: Oh it is a mood necklace it reacts to how I'm feeling. Like now I'm feeling calm cool and collected. Hence it gives off a blue glow.
*Midnight begins to clear the table of already used glasses making more noise than actually required.*
*Whispers to the invisable shape-shifter.* This fair maid is busy and does not have time to have a quiet word. Especially with people she doesn't want to talk to.

Then she had better be a good listener or she will find herself the centre of attention! *With this the Tiger takes a playful swipe at the tray that 'Midnight' is desperately holding on to. It falls from her grasps, smashing all of the glassware upon it with a sickening [glow=red,2,300]crash![/glow]* *Suddenly, all eyes are on the clumsy maid and the pile of expensive EX-glasses...* You see what I mean?

*Midnight goes bright red from embaressment and quickly gets on her hands and knees to pick up the broken glasses which luckily have only broken into large pieces so she can easily clean the mess up without too much fuss.*
*Midnight mumbles something under her breath gets up with the tray and walks to the bar then out the back into the kitchen.*
*Midnight returns minutes later and grabs another tray ignoring the shape-shifters request and carry's on with her work.*

*The next table is populated with a group of young 'Ladies-of-Breeding'. The sort that had a stable full of ponies when they were children and nowadays walk around with boyfriends called 'Giles' or somesuch.*
*As Midnight picks up the empty wine glasses and replaces them with the full variety, the tiger uses the distraction to sneak under the table. Just as one ladies drink is being handed to her, the tigers head appears in her lap with sky-high 'cutesy' green eyes...*
[OOC:Remember, this kitty is a little larger than average!]

*The lady's eyes open wide with absolute terror and for a second she is too terrified to move. This soon fades as she leaps backwards away from the tiger, her chair crashes to the floor, the table shakes & she collides with Midnight, sending the drink in her outstretched hand hurtling upwards, the contents of which splash both her and the lady. The glass crashes to the floor with a sickening crash. As this is the 4th glass in as many minutes Midnight has broken, and she now has red wine staining the expensive dress she was given then Charles intervenes and sends her out of the inn to take a break. He then attempts to calm the hysteric lady & re-assure her that there is no tiger under the table and that the red stains on her expensive evening gown will eventually come out. By the time Charles' bodyguards have checked out the table then Coriolis is long gone.*

*From his hastily taken vantage point on the edge of the nearby Band-stand, Coriolis watches the carnage he has caused with a smirk of self-satisfaction. No-one ignores a watcher who wishes to communicate.....* *Noticing that Rhiannon has been sent away from the floor, he follows her out of a side exit and into the twilight gloom...* [OOC: Continued outside : "Recriminations"]

[OCC: Human Brollachan's journey continued from 'Through the market place' thread.] * As the human Brollachan approaches the building he looks at the sign of the building and realises he has arrived at the Wolf Howl's Inn. More out of curiousity than anything he decides to enter. * * Inside the place seems a bit chaotic and is similar to the last building he was in. As when he was in the Craized Heffer he goes to sit in a corner of the room by a table. * * On the table amongst other things is a menu. The human Broll. picks up the menu and reads its contents out of curiousity for knowledge. *
