[ModNote: Continued from Fishing at the Dunnfalls.] *Upon arriving at Wolfenden, Ursula makes her way back to the alley, and checks to make sure Tom's still with her* Well, all we can do now is wait it seems. We cannot make the spirit show herself, and to even attempt a summoning might be mistaken as a hostile action. *She sits against what remians of the wall of the derelict house,, laying her staff across her knees*

*Tom sitts down on the floor beside Ursula.*
"This could be very Intresting my dear."
*He starts to play the huanting tune Ursula heard befor agin. It bitter sweet notes drift up and echo around the ally.*

[ModNote: Continued from Three years to the day...] *A girl in a white dress flickers softly in the air before them, and they hear a sob* Please! Please don't! Don't leave me...or take me...I'm so unhappy and confused! *The figure is hazy and still flickering, but falls to her knees, still crying in the lilting, feminine voice. She does not appear to see Tom and Ursula, but senses being watched and occasionally stares around the alleyway*

*Ursula draws in her breath sharply as she sees the figure, and quickly moves to crouch beside her, though still keeping a fair distance between them. She speaks softly, her voice oddly soothing*
Can you hear me child? We will neither leave nor harm you, we are here to help. If you can hear, then please, tell us what we can do to help you.

*Tom stops playing and edges forward.*
"Its all right little one we mean you no harm."
"We are here to help."
*He moves to the right side of Tzgain as Ursula is crouched on the left.*
"Can you talk to use my dear and tells us how we may help to ease your suffering."

*the girl gazes up at the night sky, which is siddenly silent* My locket - please let me keep my locket if I must die! Please! *There is a 'tick' sound as a metal chain breaks and a thin line of blood runs from her neck where the silver cut into her skin* No! please! *a tinking sound echoes in real time from behind Ursula, as if something fell to the floor. The girl slumps as though she had recieved a blow to the head and lies still, blood tricklnig over her brow and staining the dress on the collar. The girls voice echoes as though she was thinking her last, confused thoughts* I just didn't want to lose anymore. They might have let me keep my green flame.
*The ghost of the girl now lies dead between Ursula and Tom, blood staining the dust* [OOC: I'm assuming you already know this since it is basically in the rules but please don't make assumtions if you do or find anything, cos there are certain factors i need to clear up when the time comes thanks!]

*Ursula's face tightens as she watches Tzigane's suffering, a low snarl hissing between her clenched teeth. For a few moments her face seems to warp, her features becoming more bestial. Her voice shakes with rage she can barely contain, and is strangely deep and harsh*
...by Ursa's bones... whoever did this will die.
*Closing her eyes, she takes a deep, shuddering breath and composes herself, fighting down the urge to destroy out of pure rage. As she exhales heavily, her face becomes human again, deep sadness in her eyes as she opens them*
...it seems we must find this locket my friend, and find some way of returning it to the poor girl.

*Tears have apperd in Tom's Eyes. He bows his head and says something in a langueges that Ursula has never heard befor. He looks up again and wipes his eyes.*
<Speaking out load to himself.>
"Evil is done by the wicked & decadent to the Inocent and pure."
"Justice is served on the Evil and Corupt by the Just and Hounrable."
*He looks up at the Sky.*
"An Eye for an Eye, Brothers, An Eye For An Eye. Condem me if you will but I will avenge this girls death."
<To Ursual>
"Indeed The locket seems to be of great importance to the poor little Inocent."
"I would assume that the purpotraters of theis monstros crime took it with them after they had killed the poor child."

Yes... finding them may prove difficult though. We don't know how long ago this outrage was commited, nor do we have any idea who is guilty. If we had some way to contact the poor girl...
*With a sigh, Ursula looks back at Tzigane's ghostly body, looking for any possible clues. Reaching into one of the pouches at her belt, she takes out a sprig of rosemary, and winds it into a miniature wreath, then lays it carefully on the ground*
(OOC: Rosemary traditonally represents remembrance, and was often left at graves in times past, I'm not sure how commonly/if it's done now)

In the scrying mirror in front of him, an old man watches the ghastly scene unfold. He bows his head, an expression of pain creasing his brow. 'Undoubtedly, it cannot be any other.... That it should have come to this....' Rising, he moves to his writing desk and, catching up his quill, he writes in an ornate hand: 'To those who are good in heart, The time is short, you must lay this evil to rest, for the sake of the girl, and for the peace of one's own soul. This girl was not natural, and nor was her death. Take one's gift and use it, but beware, remain ever good in heart, or the monster you seek may well catch you unawares.' He pauses, and then, in a special ink inscribes a spell, a word of power onto another scroll. The spell is GRAVEVOICE. 'This must suffice.' He muses. 'If only one could do more... but the temptation, I cannot risk it.' Rolling up the two scrolls together, he concentrates for a moment and they fade away, to reappear a moment later, threaded into the little rosemary garland laid on the ground. Hordriss waves his hands, and the mirror mists over, turning into a dark portal. 'One will observe, from a distance....' And with that, he too fades away... [ModNote: Hordriss is next seen here.]

*Ursula starts in surprise as she sees the scrolls appear. Unthreading them from the wreath, she sniffs at them closely, then relaxes. Unrolling the first, (the letter) she looks at it in blank incomprehension, turning it around several times*
...I... uh... well...
*Giving up, she tries the spell scoll, and again looks bemused*
...there is something special about this one, I feel it. *She hands both scrolls to Tom* But I can make no sense of either, I cannot read human marks. What do they mean Tom?
(OOC: Being a bear, Ursula is illiterate)

[OOC: By the way, this isn't an insult to Tom's abilities to get Tzigane to talk, this spell allows a character to talk TO the ghost. It's also a tad more stable than Hobo magic! ;D]

*Tom Takes The Scrolls From Ursula and examins them.*
"Hmmmmm Fasinatting."
*He opens the one with Hordriss's letter on.*
<In a bit of a condersending voice.>
"OH I see. Yes I think I detect the hand of The Confuser in this. So he's desided To interven has he, Not to busey with his own affairs "One" Woud assume."
<In a more good natured tune.>
"Still for all his aragonce and pomposity his harts in the right place."
*Looks up and says in a clear respectful voice.*
"Thank You Hordriss for this help that you have granted us."
*Un-rolls the other scroll.*
"I Wounder what spell he has given us."
"GRAVEVOICE!!!!"
"Yes well it would work and lord knows it would be more stable then my magic."
<Turning To Ursula.>
"This spell should allow us to communicate with Tzgain. But it could still be risky as we don't know how she will react."
"What do you think Ursula should we attempt it?
(OOC: Not to offend. But Tom has a realy dislike of Aragonce and Pompositey, Not of Hodriss himself just those two asspects of his character.)

...who is the Confuser? *and she couldn't look more confused!*
*Taking her cue from Tom as he thanks Hordriss, she echoes his words*
Thank you for your aid Hordriss Confuser.
*Turning back to tom, she nods at the suggestion that they use the spell*
I think it is a risk we must take my friend, we have no clues to the identity of the killer, and there is no more reliable witness than the poor girl herself.

"Hordriss De Confuser My dear Ursula, Is probabley one of if not the most powerful Mage in the Relm of Knightmare."
"Unfortunatly he has let that go to his head and has become the most pompouse, arragount and vain person you could ever meet. Always adresses himself as "One" "One is glad to meet you." and so forth."
"But for all his faults and he has a few he is good, kind harted and a good farther to his daughter Sidriss."
"I'm supprised he has helped us as he and I have never realy seen eye to eye."
"But to matters at hand the spell."
*He regards the spell again.*
"Yes I know of this spell. It alows people to communicate with spirits as I said but unfortunatly my magic is not strong enough to allow use both to communicate with the girl."
"I would sujest that you go my dear. As following my last incursion into the relm of spirits I'm not so sure she would be very forth comeing to me."
