[ModNote: Brother Strange was last seen at The Guardhouse.]
*A farmer, heading out of the Forest with firewood, sees a speeding figure pass him. He looks up, a little interested, to see who this might be, but then freezes in astonishment.*
*Brother Strange is running. No-one has ever seen him run before, not in all the long years that the monk has been in Wolfenden (and he has been around for as long as anyone can remember). He has always walked everywhere, in calm silence.*
*Now, however, he is running. Although going at a great pace, he is making no sound, and there seems something weird about his movements. Is he realy running, or... floating?*
[OOC: If anyone has seen Queen of the Damned (the sequel to Interview with the Vampire), the strange sort of speed floaty-flying that they do there is roughly what Strange is doing)]
*Brother Strange enters the woods and is lost to sight. The farmer blinks a few times, and begins to rationalise what he saw. After all, he only saw Brother Strange for a moment. Surely he was just running fast. Yes... just running fast. Or maybe it was magic, like Hodriss and RingmasterRob use.*
*Brother Strange is not seeing in the real world. As his physical body dodges trees by instinct, and by the brief flashes of the spirit trees in the misty spirit realm, his eyes are fixed on the Spirit realm, in the darkness, the gathering storm. There he senses conflict, evil, helplessness...*
*Perhaps he will arrive too late to help. Perhaps the storms of emotion and the clash of spirits will destroy him. It does not matter. He has to try.*
[To be continued in the 'Deeper and Darker Mysteries' thread in the Forest of Dunn, at an appropriate point (possibly when it's all over, or when Tzigane is laid to rest and the dagger remains.)]
[ModNote: In the event, continued in The Forge thread.]
